What I love about Man v Food is that it’s so American but it’s not overly-produced or too brash. It’s about real people and Adam is a really relatable host who knows his audience. Although, my god, those challenges must have done him some damage in the long run 😂

@@okieking8503 I did that challenge. Stomach was so messed up afterward I couldn't even drink the victory beer. It was like the curry and rice combined into a ball of lava in my gut which eventually worked it's way through my intestines and came out after an excruciating hour on the toilet. Totally worth it!
It's not hard to eat a hell burger, the trouble comes when it goes out the other end.
Hot when it goes in and rocket fuel when it leaves.

I love how the definition of super-spicy has changed over the years. Jalapenos and habaneros are child's play nowadays, but back then, it was, apparently "one of the spiciest burgers on the planet".

I always "steam" burgers when I am frying them. Been doing it for literally decades. I'm sure I am one of many people that do it.
Hell,white castle steams their sliders.Their burgers are cooked entirely through onion vapour.These methods are rather widely known.

4:20 This is what I always say in regards to spicy/hot food. It seems that many times food is so spicy or hot you cannot taste the actual meat. It is an art to get the flavors just right where you can taste the meat in addition to the spices/peppers.

Jalapeño and habañero are spicy yet edible. The Carolina reapers and ghost peppers are 100% just for torture.

@@wolfieinu, I would actually eat this burger as it is, but we're gonna fix this for Gordon Ramsy and our arteries.
(1) Keep the 8-ounce patty, but make it 93% lean.
(2) Keep all the seasonings and peppers.
(3) Instead of buns, we'll use butterhead lettuce to wrap the burger in. Bread only distracts from the meat and other condiments.
(4) Cut back on the cheese.
(5) For the fries, make it half a cup and cut back on the cheese.
Now that's a reasonable meal at about 700 calories, and it won't kill you either.

These people aren’t just there randomly and happen to be there the day he’s filming. They sign waivers and are told to act as if they aren’t filming. Typically they shut down the restaurant for a day or two and have these people come in. Why are people so ignorant?

idk how to explain it but this show helped me when i was dieting and bodybuilding. i was fat growing up and severely addicted to junk food. i got into amazing shape in my 20s and watching this was a way to almost cure my cravings for junk food

Discovered my first episode of MvsF on Thanksgiving night after supper. Of course I was hypnotized & had to go back to the fridge and EAT!! MORE!!!
Honestly I was kinda relieved when Adam stepped down from the show and took a big step forward in getting healthy. Dude was like one for burger from a heart attack before he left
This burger is indeed spicy but jalapeños just are not that hot compared to other foods. I would never do any of the challenges he does but this burger actually seems manageable
A lot of Jalapeños and other peppers that you’d normally buy at the store are usually genetically modified to be less spicy. Try growing some of your own jalapeños or buy organic ones labeled as non-gmo. Then put them in a burger like the one in the video and then you’ll probably rethink your statement right away lol

Well, at least it'd make it taste better. This challenge doesn't even really seem like much of a challenge, just a burger on the menu added for those who love their spice but want beef instead of chicken. Not that that's a bad thing, because I usually hate challenges where it's like "how hot can we make this regardless of how disgusting it tastes?".
With that much fresh jalapeño and added habanero sauce, the cheese won’t take too much of the spice away. The cheese is to add flavor and gooey texture. With that many spice focused ingredients on a burger, you need other things like cheese to balance the flavors out. It’s supposed to be spicy and tasty, not just burn your mouth off spicy.

In Mexico we never use Jalapeño peppers to try to make spicy a food. Jalapeño peppers are used in sandwiches for elementary school kids.
I'm a resident of Amarillo where these places are at. I've been eating at both places shown on here for as long as I can remember. You can always tell when someone orders the burger from hell because the air gets spicy and everyone starts to cough a bit. You can't really go wrong with anything on their menu at either place.
My son and I was addicted to the Man V Food Show... now he's 18years old, lol!!!

One time riding dirtbikes in Texas I blew out all the ligaments in my knee. We had a long drive to AZ but stopped at Hooters in Amarillo. Every girl working came out and helped me limp in. Ive loved Amarillo ever since.
