Craftopia came to Steam early access on the 4th September 2020 and despite a rocky start is now sitting at very positive reviews.
What do you think about Craftopia? do you share the same positive vibes for the game that I have or do you think it's just another survival game? let me know in the comments below!

--Craftopia Steam Description--
Craftopia is the brand new multiplayer open-world survival action game.
We have imagined what would happen when we combine our favorite video games altogether.
Chop trees and mine stones as in Sandbox,
Explore the world as in Open-world,
Fight the hunger as in Survival,
Cultivate and harvest as in Farming,
Collect loots in dungeons as in Hack-and-slash,
Automate activities as in Factory management,
Hunt monsters and creatures as in Hunting action,
Cast magical spells as in Fantasy RPG.
Now we have a utopia for all of us. That is Craftopia.
Farming
20+ crops are available for you to grow. Of course, you can grow crops one by one, but there are more you can do. With the power of agricultural machines, you can have large scale fields. While enjoying your self-sufficient life, why not make your colorful orchards?
Industrialization and Automation
You can automate every single item gathering. When you get tired of cutting woods and mining stones? Let's automate!...Tired of automation of simple activities? Then let's start using belt-conveyers to build huge factories.
Breeding
By throwing Monster Prism at creatures, you can catch them as a pet. Not only animals like cows and deer, but most of the monsters are also tamable. Monsters, Gotta Catch 'Em All!
Exploring Dungeons
When the detector starts beeping, it's the sign that you're getting close to a dangerous dungeon. Back to the town to equip yourself, then enter the dungeon in the hope of finding treasures. It changes its shape every time you enter. At the end of the dungeon, you will encounter bosses to fight. You will gain new abilities when you unleash the power of the world.
Fishing
In Craftopia, you can enjoy fishing too. Taste some fresh fish, and craft a shield from turtle shells! Once you get used to fishing on the coastline, it's time to build a ship to sail! Let's catch a whale!
Vehicles
Hoverboards, motorbikes, helicopters, automobiles, biplanes, tanks, air balloons, and machinery... Gather materials to craft what you want to ride! You can share a ride with your friends to explore the world together!
Skill Tree
100+ skills to learn in Craftopia. You can create your character by learning various skills. Some are good at crafting; some are skilled at broad swords; some might do better in automation. Your job will vary throughout the adventure, depending on your play styles!
Character Creation
Gender/sex, race, hairstyle, eyes, faces, skin tones, facial hairs, face painting, you can customize all of them!
Multiplayer
Multiplayer is available. You can build factories, explore dungeons, catch fish with your friends. The choice is yours! You can be an assassin if you want to.

Craftopia First Impressions "Is It Worth Playing?"
• Craftopia First Impres... - Ігри
Hi! As someone who played this for a lot of hours, there are some things that I'd like to share:
1.) Dungeon type comes in three, not two. Video already showed the usual enemy-type dungeon and escape-type dungeon, but what wasn't shown is the speed-type dungeon wherein you use a hoverboard (or any transportation medium) to go through checkpoints within a time limit. It still doesn't change the fact that dungeons in this game lack variety and content though. It becomes extremely repetitive very quickly.
2.) If I can remember correctly, this game is made by less than five people from Japan (they mentioned this in an old update). That is why when you see some of the untranslated text info from certain items, they're in Japanese.
3.) In line with updates, they are very consistent about it. They used to release patches literally everyday, but the players are annoyed by this, so the developers made it so that patches will come in one huge fixes per month. These patches occasionally adds new content as well!
4.) For the cautious buyer out there, video already mentioned this, but the game is really rough around the edges. If you're expecting properly translated texts, good AI, and the like, then no. This game needs a lot more time for them to get sorted out. However, the basic elements are there, and even though it's rough, it IS functional, and I had a lot of fun with it. Keep your expectations low, laugh out all the bugs you'll encounter (no gamebreaking bugs afaik), and you'll be fine. 😊
Theres also target shooting dungeon and the "pinball" one and the platforming one where you slide across boosters and have to not fall off. i guess that makes 6 types? still pretty lackluster though and with bad luck you just get the same over and over
Does this game have multiplayer and if so is it locally hosted?
@@r0ei Hey! Yes the game has multiplayer. However, afaik there's no official multiplayer servers established yet, so you need to open your network ports for this game so your friends can join in. Other people are using third-party software like Hamachi to host their own servers as well. I would suggest holding off buying Craftopia if your plan is to play it in multiplayer. If it's single player, it's fine.
Be warned though that if you manage to make multiplayer work, then it'll get buggy really quickly. If you're looking for a game in the similar genre and has functional multiplayer in it with little to no bugs at all, try Valheim. 👌
@@auraleedivinus Yep! Was looking at multiplayer survival games and Valheim looks great, thank you :)
I agree. It looks like it will be a very fun game when it's finished, but the game's scale is the size of Jupiter, and being made by a small team. They're not pretending that the game isn't still in very early access, so the people judging it by the amount of bugs and such aren't really giving it a fair review.
Here because it was just announced it’s coming to Gamepass tomorrow and I’ve never heard of it before.
Up now
Yeah same
This game looks amazing! I have been hooked to ark for so long, it would be amazing to have something better!
Is it worth playing
aha same its kinda framey
Can't believe you got sponsored by platinum, very cool
He's pretty huge for an mmo channel.
Is this an alt-j fan I'm seeing here maybe?
Facts that's awesome
This game should market itself as simply an Adventure Game. It's got everything I'd want from an aventure game. It's a bit too rough for me to want to play it right now though.
So true, “Adventure Survival Game” sounds a whole lot more fitting
There’s actually more added since this gameplay, and the multiplayer is functional
@@vhslofi yeah
I'm so glad you covered this game! I was a bit on the fence with this one, I will probably just wait until this game is more in the oven to bake before I purchase it. One thing I'm always noticing in your first impression is mentioning the music which I feel like it's an underrated aspect of any game that content creators tend to forget about.
My favorite games allow me to listen to my own music, or enjoy theirs as well without any real sacrifice to gameplay or even immersion.
@@TheRoboito Soooo...the car radio in GTA: Vice City?
Though, I absolutely loved VCPR, that was my go to station even though I played Vice City for 100s of hours, it was just so damn hilarious
I wouldn’t buy it but it was free on game pass and I’m having a good enough time so far.
It’s on game pass.

And doesn't torch the bouncing enemy xD
"When I think about you I torch myself...."

Legend of NotLink:
Breath of Fortnite
@no or maybe yes there’s no micro transactions?
100%
@@xenryn9270 no, i meant in craftopia. Is there microtransactions in this game or no?
@no or maybe yes breath of notfortnite
Ah, so there's dancing and Thanos events? Interesting.
My opinion after playing it: still bare bones, keep an eye on it though.
The dev team is small but they release a major update every 1-2 months, maybe in 1 year it has enough content to play and they have improved a lot of aspects of the game.
Makes me think of Grounded. Good concept but fell flat lol
Its been 10 months since you commented. Have you played it and is it good now?
@@oliver-04 it's absolutely amazing. Complex but good if you take your time. You advance civilisations to unlock new recipes but there's so much now that it's worthwhile learning EVERYTHING before you advance. Best thing is even though you advance, everything you've built still exists. Honestly most fun I've had in years
Legend of Genshin: Impact of the wild
Yes
and FOrtnite
Love it
Genshin impact: breath of the wild 2
lmao
This game was extremely fun with friends for about a week. They need more content but they are already on it. I'm hype to return to it.
Loving the videos lately dude, got me to try a lot of games I hadn’t heard of before 😁
"so how many ideas and mechanics do you want to copypast for our new game ? "
" yes "
Select All
Saves a lot of time to just play one game instead of 10
But this is exactly the game I want. Take all the good and fun parts and throw it in one game. Craftopia is a raw gem, but you feel that it's from a little studio. If a triple A Studio would make a game like this I would be very pleased.
@@FunFreakeyy if a big publisher wanted to realease something like this they would massively fuck it up. Indie studios are the future of games, since the people in them are actually passionate about what they do, instead of profit, which in turn translates into profit anyways. lets just hope they get enough funds to polish the gem
Came here almost a year later to this, I'm happy to say the game exceeded my expectations beyond anything I could imagine. It's a crafters dream and I'm constantly excited by the new items to craft. The pokemon aspect of capturing mobs and using them to do things like make batteries is the most fun I've had in years. A lot of the roughness has been ironed out and I'm astonished that merely 5 people made this game, like wtf? It's absolutely huge. If you like redstone in minecraft, crafting, etc then it's definitely for you, I mean the clues in the name. I wouldn't play this for the fighting as it's not it's strong point but it fits to the game nicely. If you're gonna start this game, build stuff away from mob spawns and you'll be fine 👍
So then it's safe to assume that this game will be a good indicator of what to expect from PalWorld.
I've been thinking about getting this game for years, but I'm glad I haven't decided to do it until now. It sounds like something I'd enjoy now that they've added so much more to it. thanks a bunch for your input! :)
You are keeping your word and pumping out content more! Love to see that motivation! I hope your new resolutions are going good for you too!
The editor is work man for sure. The amount of videos already in 2021 is crazy and I love every one
I love how he slowly gets more excited.
Delightful.
This is the first game peon has tried in a long while that I genuinely thought looked promising. I think I'm going to purchase this for the weekend.
i like the idea of playing a botw game on the pc. but story might be lacking, showing promise though
Is it in consoles or just pc?
UA-camrs can make any game look good
@⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻ he actually is sponsored for this video by Platinum
How much is it?
Just wanna say you've been killing it with all these new videos. Really appreciate it.
Ah, yes. The ultimate game if you cannot decide what kind of game to play.
Peon: If you got friends ofcourse, not everyone has those"
Me: I hate you!
"So, what games inspired you to make Craftopia?"
Devs: *broadly gestures to everything*
This game looks awesome. TLP, thanks for increasing the amount of your content. I have played maybe three of the games you have reviewed but have watched almost every review. You are great at what you do.
I just got it an am already hooked. Love the honesty from the company as well
"hope you had a succesfull day"
Haven't heard someone say that, at the end of the video before.. but I like it, it's new :)
Well I didn't really succeed at much today, but I guess I...successfully had a day? Like I successfully experienced twenty-four hours of the Earth revolving on its axis...does that count? lol
Damn, it's like a great blend of all the best parts of BotW, Genshin, Minecraft (granted it has building closer to fortnite) and Ark, I am definitely gonna try this game, it looks like it's gonna be a masterpiece once it develops a bit
Yeah it looks amazing, I've been learning UE4 because I want to develop a game that has pretty much all the different elements that this game has (adventure, boss monsters and dungeouns, farming and animal rearing, building and crafting, RPG elements, etc.) ...looks like that game might exist already XD I'll still continue developing my game though, as this one might not turn out quite the same as what's in my head. Plus I can still use what skills I learn to develop other games.
@@mantonythe1st well, this blend of genres is truly a void, like this is the first game I've seen combine all these elements, and doing it so well at that! Takes massive skill, so it doesn't hurt to expand the market a bit, best of luck m8, can't wait to see this type of genre actually be opened up a bit!
@@iori6723 I stand corrected, I didn't know it came out before
This game is exactly what genshin is which is a botw copy. It basically takes mostly from genshin with a bit of botw mixed in. The music from this game is definitely inspired by genshin music.
Omg this has been in my steam library for a bit now! Looks really good!
thank you for the videos, they always make my day better.
You feelin' OK today Peon? You started this game by punching everything 😂
Yeah, first he said the ingame music relax him and then kills the tutorial guy´s, punch everything
and play´s some Metal in the background.
@@UllricLex AAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA!
Giraffe: I'm busy eating this grass; can I ignore you some other time?
TLP: Am I joke to you?
Nice! Been on the fence with this one for a while!
I looked at this game back when it released in early access. I'm glad to see you look over it, and I'm definitely going to keep my eyes on it.
Im not feeling the name, but looks cool
It looks like an extremely unpolished breath of the wild
I don't mind they copied BOTW art style, but I would like the online feature to be there since it was advertised as such.
I can't justify spending 30 until it online.
@@DeathDontWait4NoOne Its not just the artstyle tho
@@eebrohim7001 Its an Early Access game made by a team of 5 people, its expected to be unpolished, but as it is now, its more polished than many Early Access games out there in Steam.
@@DeathDontWait4NoOne So i'm not sure why Peon stated this game does not have an online feature as just last month me and 5 other people were playing online together. You can't join random worlds but you can 100% play with other friends.
Looks like a safe and fun entry level RPG/survival game for all levels of gamers. I didn't see any cash shops/microtransactions which is ++ as well!
It's good to see you're become active on youtube these days..
Keep uploading videos often.. We love it
Wow! After watching your video I can't wait for this game to release. I seriously haven't seen you have this much genuine fun and excitement with a game!
That moment when you realize someone has never played Breath of the Wild 😅
I'm not a fan of zelda or empty open world games.
@@jonathansoko1085 Wouldn't say zelda is empty though, but to each their own.
It is interesting - my eyes were opened when I started a job where most of the people on the team were big Nintendo players and I hadn't played a Nintendo game (nor bought a console) since the N64 days. I don't really blame him. I wouldn't go so far as to say Nintendo is 'niche' but it's definitely a...different kind of mainstream, I suppose.
@@guywithnohouse.6808 Its an empty world, thats a fact. And its by design, i get it, the world is supposed to be barren due to what happened. There is next to nothing to do in the world, thats objectively looking at it, but a fan wont see it because you refuse to be objective. I am used to it. Enjoy it tho, have fun but empty open worlds are not my cup of tea.
Elaborate on "empty open world" there's tons of things to do imho.
Dang, it's like BotW, Genshin Impact, Ark, and Civ all together
You forgot to mention Satisfactory, Pokemon and kind of Fortnite (building).
@@benjamineichberger1335 Satisfactory! Yes, I meant to put that but couldn't remember the name. The building system is rather similar to Fortnite, now that you mention it. I'm not seeing much similarity to Pokemon though, what do you mean by that? Does it have a pet system he didn't show?
@@wombatpandaa9774 Look at 18:00. The character is throwing a pokeball-like-thingy at a giraffe and catches it :D
love these reviews man, mixing humour in
It looks like you're becoming happier doing this, especially compared to some 2020 videos. Good on you, looking forward to the abs and more great videos!
Press The Button, that One, big and red
Explode the Earth
Isekai-uh!!
Looks super promising, but I'll definitely wait to experience this as a finished product.
You have been cranking out the videos lately man. GG
I am so happy you covered this game. I would have NEVER found it. And it seems like a game I would totally love! Thank you
When a survival game can hit every element in 1 go with out making it look shit and fked.... 10/10 for the creators
I feel like this game would have been more popular if named appropriately. Craftopia sounds like factorio and satisfactory but it seems to have so many more aspects.
Thanks for doing a video on this. I think I check Craftopia every time I go on Steam. It sounded like you were having a lot of fun, which is important.
I've been watching you for years, and my favorite series you've ever done are the WoW ironman challenge, and Tera journey to levelcap. You should do something similar again, like a long term, consistent form of content that we can get more invested in!
We need an MMO that looks like this, waiting for Blue Protocol it's my last hope.
so this game are like solo/with friend. not an MMO right ?
@@DGraze this game isn’t a mmo
@@Nezhakiin kinda wasted tbh, i like it's combat. maybe in future it will be MMO
I’m so tired of mmos, ashes is my last hope
@@clear5136 same dude, i play no MMO right now, just hangging my soul in albion. after ashes comes
Wait what Wonderful 101 as sponsor, like WHAT? A good and big game as sponsor that's rare
That looks amazing. Definitely picking it up when it's done.
Literally just was about to buy this game and wanted to see reviews... glad you posted this!
It's literally Breath of the Wild as a survival adventure game hybrid thing.
Multiplayer will come aswell
the graphic landscape almost look a lot like genshin impact too
Funny enough, this progression reminds me of Mabinogi, of all things
That resemblance is not really unusual, as Mabinogi is IMO one of the most creative and varied MMORPGs out there.
so much content! keep it up peon!
what a neat little game keep us updated on this one!
It’s definitely interesting, and you gave a much more in-depth analysis than the few minutes I saw from Hololive.
Then again, I was just watching them play it to...play it.
It’s multiplayer capable at least, but I’m not sure if it’s stable.
Legend Of The Minecraft's Impact
Exactly
Immediatly had to think of Reckful, when the farmer song came... RIP
Great video as usual :)
Multiplayer is working now and also a main mission for you to actually complete is in development also this game is from japan
I feel like this game is going to get some lawsuits against it
Without a doubt it will
..for an artstyle? what lmao
Eh? Why?
@@bongratunrthdoxtrsh5324 that too, but main reason is, it takes heavy inspiration from zelda breath of the wild. Its OK to take inspiration, but this is on another level, from the character creation that it's made to have your character look like both sexes, just like link, to the combat, which almost the same. The glider is literally the same. Shrines and dungeons are almost the same as well, basically, it's zelda. Ofc it has original things, but from what i see not many, the world is designed the same as well
@@halungacosmin2602 Nintendo own none of those things. All Nintendo own is the Zelda IP and the assets used. They do not own the genre though. We have Genshin Impact and Immortals Fenyx Rising which both directly lift major gameplay from BOTW but are fine.
Peon - "Ooooh, look at that sunset .."
millisecond after
Peon - "F#ck this chicken"
.
Quality content as always
ive already watched videos on this , happy u play it now
WOW this looks really interesting!! Thanks for reviewing it. Really looking forward to the growth of this game!
This was fun for about 3 days until me and 3 friends unlocked everything and ran out of content. It may be more fun when the game is finished but for now it goes on the backshelf.
"Unlocked everything" You reached Hell and killed Hell Anubis? Unlocked everything in the Picture Book? Killed all the bosses? Tried crafting better gear or getting ready for the next update? The game is filled with content as it is and next update is in less than a week, time to get ready for it! Also they have an Alpha branch meant for testing, you can try new things there too!
@@bernardobrito5872 The Last time I played was September. I'm not going to wait for every update, just wait for the game to be finished so I can enjoy it as it should be. Is that wrong?
@@joshuadeldridge I understand your point, but well, its not different than many triple a out there with live service. Just keep an eye on it and enjoy the game!

I feel like for everything he's getting excited over, he just needs to play BotW.
I'm sure he would've by now if he wanted to
It’s really sad to know that he thinks these are all new things. Sucks that the actual creatives who made BotW get all their shit stolen and no credit sometimes.
@@AJ-__ Considering Peon called Genshin Impact "Asian Breath of The Wild" I fail to see where you think he thinks all of this is new. Nintendo stans gatekeeping mechanics as if they're copyrighted or something is amazing
@@timthetoolmantaylor9048 Or thinking that BOTW invented those mechanics in the first place lmao
@@MikeDawsonPal it's not about inventing them. BOTW did it in those specific styles that other games such as this one and Genshin implemented the way BOTW did it into their games.
Keep up the good work my dude. I appreciate your reviews.
Adding it to the queue, looks really fun especially for an early access
Craftopia: Breath Of The Wild. even the music
it like breath of the wild aesthetics and combat x rust economy
The CEO of Pocket Pair Inc used to work at Nintendo, it wouldn't be weird if some BoTW devs joined his company
This looks like Botw mixed with genshin and Minecraft and a whole bunch of other games
Yep and the devs did pretty good on implementing them. Some other games fails to replicate those kinds of mechanics
@@sebastiangonzales46 no kidding this is much better then I imagined at the beginning of the video
I like how you have been going off the wall with the gameplay videos I love getting to see the less popular stuff

if BOTW is the new game devs are gonna copy we're in for a wild couple of years
Yeah but have you seen the horrid things that came from soulsborne?
80% of these comments fail to remember this game is in early access
There's really no difference between early access and finished product nowadays LUL
This
just an fyi, I consider you a very trusted source for reviews. keep up the good work.
I have had fun playing it and excited for multi-player, got some friends that will enjoy it as a group.
Lots of breath of the wild mmo clones now a days... wtf.
Because not everyone gonna buy Switch or Wii U just to play BoTW. If they release BoTW to PC, then people will choose to play it instead those clone game.
You are here because of GPU

Great content as usual, KiraTV!
I'm a new guy to your channel and I have already fell in love, with both you and this game :))

This looks like a good one. I hope you do a follow up later on.
This game looks super fun, definitely going to keep an eye on it as something to play with the lads.
It looks awesome. If you play it further please upload the video, would love to watch it!
this looks so good im giving an old laptop to a friend for free and i really want to find fun relax games like this we can both play because shes new to gaming
i have been waiting for this review for so long
I absolutely love this game already. Cannot wait for multiplayer
Nice video! Convinced me to try out the game 👍🏻 honestly I watch a lot of your game reviews before I actually buy. Thanks!
Your new editor is amazing.
It's hard to know what to question in the game since its and early access and a lot of things are place holders. One things I do hope they work on soon is the sound design. all the environments feel the same when you got calming music tied to wind noises and bird sounds so the environmental sound are lacking completely, It dose seem like a place holder though. I also personally don't like how the sky looks at all, which I think is the cause for the weird day and night transition and lighting problems.
These game looks like A LOT of fun! Can't wait to see how it evolves over the years if it stays alive.
