Well it's clear now that the devs hid the ludicrous cash shop from reviewers until release. $30 for a boob slider? Another $30 just for nudity? Maiden+ premium sub? Battlepass? This is a damn alpha build of a game that has around $700 of microtransactions. You can even choose many customization options since they're paywalled too! Amazing!
I also look at the game and see the defenders and think man if it didn't have Bewbs it would be hated to the max
to be fair, the boob slider cash thingy is to increase the max the sliders can go, and they already can go bigger than most people's tastes already and the nudidy is just an after thought, not the main focus of the game. Battlepass is 100% ftp unlike bullsht like fortnite and Phantasy Star online ones that if you want to unlock everything you must buy cash to. And talking about "you must buy cash to", aparently everything in the game can be unlocked ingame, no cash needed. The game does a REALLY BAD JOB explaining this, specially in the first hour of gameplay, but you can unlock everything just grinding, like Warframe.

Unironically that could be a really neat minigame side-job thing you could do. Could tie it into Player Home development, where you can place cameras, buy streaming equipment, ect, and have a visual cone effect where cameras have an area of influence, and interactable objects placed within the camera's line of sight boost the CamScore or something. If you want to go full lewd, include animations, and you can have a boost by having someone come over for a co-op (or more) shoot.

Additional thoughts: You could easily use the same framework and system for normal Streaming. But then the temptation to do Cam work and OnlyFans is always there as the higher income model.
You could have the cameras actually take legit screenshots, and have an ingame "Internet" social media where you post them, having players create their own advertisements for ingame products and locations, and have ad posters randomly generate clienteside per player to display user-generated ads, and the players actually get a small amount of ingrame fake internet points and/or ingame currency per views.

Why do character creation in more well funded games always looks like shit in comparison to so many games of small dev teams? This is remarkably well done for 3 people.

Yeah ... because character creation is THE draw.
As detailed as the character creation is, the overall character designs are super simplistic and pretty much something you could buy as a typical unity asset. It's simple because it's made to be easy to work with, whereas a more expansive game like WoW has a dedicated character design that is made to fit with the game's mechanics and setting. The more freedom you give to the team designing the player character, the less freedom the player actually has in creating something unique. It's a difficult balance but the entire selling point for this game is the character creation so it's fitting.

Been following LOM for years. Hyped to play and subbed on Patreon to support the team prior to even trying the game. Everything I've seen so far from the project has been more than enough for me to say, shut up and take my money!
So far i am loving this game, im having fun. Is still Alpha, so bugs will be there, also from Alpha to the realease a lot of things can be polish. Give it a try, is free after all and you gonna have some fun.

I'm all for it too, but the impression I get from this video is that it's heavily monetised and preys on the horny teens with access to credit cards. There are enough greedy, predatory MTX practices being pushed to gamers by the AAA companies already. Having it appear in indie games too now and people being very accepting about it is a very bad sign. But yeah like Peon said, the devs are 400 IQ and know that sex sells, oh well.

Monetisation could've been better, as telling of the Mostly Negative reviews, and cluttered UI once you've spawned in with the typical free to play stuff.
Hoping there would be positive reviews that do admire what else is on the game as LazyPeon had said. Can also admit the questionable microtransactions as well, but also claim the free eye candy in show already present for willing eyes.
@@cherrygrabber7172 the free eye candy definitely is nice, but I'd rather pay like 20€/$ for an indie game (which is more than enough to support the devs, granted enough people buy it) and get everything in it for free, than to be forced to pay for a bit of MTX and 'miss out' on all the rest.

edit: i just read some of the reviews and the problem stems that they got a lot of paywalls for way too much shit, like an in-game mtx shop is 1 thing, but locking customization options, action bars etc behind paywalls is crap
@@ghekor I agree here, I mean, 5000 points for cheats needed (in my case x2 for unlimited sliders and nude play) and then 2000 points per outfit, that is all in all quite a bit money.
Because of this, i already deinstalled the game. Would like to play, but this seriously turns me down.

Love the game and agree with all the pros, but the cons for me are basically locking customization behind a subscription after first level up, limited storage that you have to buy, and only one basic option for costumes/oufits with the rest you need to buy. Not against them monetizing, but not even having basic options for free is a little disappointing.
Though I don't agree with all of the hate currently, the game has so many negative reviews on steam at the moment, with some gripes at least being understandable.

There really isn't enough MMO content out there these days to support a channel on without being incredibly repetitive. With all the MMO's shutting down and being delayed or cancelled. Even channels like MMOByte, as much as I like Stix, make the same "Top 10 ______ MMO's you should play in 2021" over and over again. lol

most of the negative reviews are on "i wanted to wank for free but its not entirely free"... i'v read a lot of them (the negative ones) and like 1 or 2 are actually reviews... one of them had a bit older CPU and with the game taking high priority in task manager his CPU was a bit higher usage, bam he start spamming "bitcoin miner bitcoin miner" which i assure you its not lol

Why isn't anyone reviewing this game saying how ridiculous the cash shop prices are literally everything is locked behind a paywall. Usually, Lazypeon is legit in his reviews but this sounds like he was paid to be nice.
Because not everything is locked behind a paywall in this game. Nothing in the cash shop stops you from enjoying the free game, it’s all cosmetics minus the storage (which I agree is dumb.)
I tried the game out myself and got to the end of the season to see if I ever needed to pay to progress... and I didn’t. The only annoying thing was the inventory slot but, again, it didn’t actually stop me from progressing at all. The developers mentioned themselves that they’d be removing the SP system and even then with its current state I’ve been able to play 20+ hours straight without issue. The game isn’t the best and something like scarlet blade certainly has more depth but for a free titty game with awesome abilities and voice acting it’s pretty good!
I just bought the Deluxe edition. Man, I've been wanting a fun superhero game for so long, and they don't exactly grow on trees :S
