I have an orange cat named Mango, originally when I got him I had dreams of turning him into an adventure cat and being able to travel and go hiking with him. I guess all the videos online made me think this would be incredibly awesome and easy to do. I started leash training him at around 8 months and he took to it easy enough, he had no problems with exploring our backyard. However, that was the extent of it, he got really scared if I took him to another space and would just freeze, not moving. I eventually figured don't force him, now I just take him out to the backyard to lounge and he really enjoys that..I don't know if you have plans to leash train but I wish you best of luck and happy adventures if you do
I was a kid who was afraid of cats and dogs a lot when I was young but I don’t know why I watched so many videos about cats even though I did not have. I fell in love with them and thought about having cats for about 2 years. Now, I became a cat lover! I cried so much when one of my kittens was diagnosed of FIP. Now, she is a FIP survivor and was spayed as well as getting microchipped today. I love my KITTENS a lot!
Although I don’t have my personal kitty, I foster cats on my own time and love seeing kitties grow out of their shell and find their furever home~ I love seeing and hearing about your story with Lily and seeing her blossom with your family!
Lily is adorable!! I have two cats, Daisy and Maisie Daisy is a brown tabby cat with green eyes and loves to drink all the water out of her food bowl before she eats the food. We got her as a rescue so we don't know exactly how old she is but probably around 14 Maisie is grey and white with green/orange eyes depending on the light, she's around 1 and loves to bother my dog Bruce (but he loves her so it's okay) Wishing you all the best with Lily and any milestones to come
In December 2023, I also became a cat mom unexpectedly. I took in kittens (2 male grey/white and 1 female calico) that came out of a parked car engine in our garage. I assumed they were siblings and 1 month old at the time. I couldn’t bear to see them apart so I took them all in and dealt with both the calm and chaos of our every day 😅 iPhone photos say they’re American shorthair or oriental shorthair. I agree with all the points you shared and look forward to seeing more cat videos in the future 🫶🏻
I don't recommend soft carrier (3 cats owner) because depending on the bottom they can sink in when they loaf inside and it's not very comfortable for them. Also, I've literally had one of my cats unzip the zipper and fall out on the street (picked her up and put her back in) so overall hard-shell carriers are better I think. You can even put blankies and toys inside.
I am a cat mom of 5. The oldest is Lilly, 16 years old. My husband and I adopted her when she was 3 months old. Luna, Roxy, and Ace were found in my backyard. Mama Luna and her 2 kittens, who were 2 months old at the time. Luna is 15, Roxy and Ace are both 9. They adopted us. Our littlest one, Forest, who we found in our backyard turned 1 a couple of days ago. Forest was only 4 weeks old when we found him. He also adopted us. All 5 of them are indoor cats.😺😺😺😺😺 cats are the best❤️
Lily is adorable! I just got two kittens about 5 weeks ago. One is an orange and white boy named Freddie Purrcury, and the other is white and black (cow cat) girl named Fiona Flower Apple Blossom. They're both rescues. I love them so much already. The cats i had when i was a child up to my 20s were also rescues. Both boys. One was a supermodel cat - all white with one green eye and one blue eye. The other was a big fat white and brown tabby who was such a lover. I do believe in rescuing 100% for most situations, but I do plan to get a Ragdoll kitten as an emotional support animal in about a year. I'll be so happy with my 3 kitties!
The toys part depends on cat breed tho. If you have a persian or himalayan cat, they tend to outgrow toys after a few years. My cat is 8 and stopped playing with most of her toys after 2 years old. She rarely touches them or engages in them when we try to play. She rather play with grass or sticks lol. Boxes are also fun enough for my cat too
Cats are the best! I didn't grow up with cats, now I have 2 cats (one black and one tabby) and I foster cats as well. We always say dogs are babies and cats are teenagers 😂. To help with furniture scratching get a lot of scratchers around the house. There's also large double stick panels for furniture, I highly recommend it. Also tell her no then move her to the scratcher when she's scratching a furniture. I also recommend insurance for cats and yearly dental cleanings at the vet.
Lily is so cute!! I have an almost 2 year old British shorthair boy named Miso and I have definitely upgraded my iCloud storage 🤣🤣🤣 wish I took more photos of him as a kitten too! Cat community is so wholesome
19:11 My sweet baby angel’s name is Momo ♥️ he is about 2 yrs 8mos, and he is a mackerel tabby (with white fur) and pink nose. My (then) roommate found him (6~8 weeks old) in the streets of Korea during winter, and I brought him back to the US with me! So technically, he’s an immigrant 😂 and Korean-American like me lol He can do a bunch of tricks as well! (Sit, paw, spin, toe beans spread, lie down, roll over etc) and he always has to sleep with me. I was completely unprepared at first, and I didn’t know a lot about cats. But, I’ve just been loving him more and more every day! I would 100% recommend getting pet insurance as well!! It’s sooooo worth it Love your videos 💕
I grew up in a military family and couldn’t have pets growing up. So as soon as my brother and I started living on our own … he got 2 dogs and I got 2 cats 😂 I live near Seattle and have 2 black cats! Cygnus and Sagittarius. Yes, they’re named after black holes 😅 They’re so playful and sweet! Almost like dogs. We HAVE to play with them at least 10-15 minutes a couple times a day or else they will start to chew our furniture, meow loudly at 3 am, and get into places we don’t want them to 😂 This list was comprehensive indeed!
I loved this video 🤣 thank u for all the info ☺️ same as u, I was a BIG dog person for all my life, and now I’m turning into a cat lady!! never would’ve thought. but looking for a kitty now!
omg i relate on the phone storage situation! Lol everyday i just take so much pics of them, every cute move i take a video or picture..i'm a new cat owner a.k.a cat mom x)) i enjoyed this video.. Thank you so much! :D
My husband and I have 5 cats and fostering kittens! Aaaaaaaaah its a full 2 bedroom house 🤪🤪 Nala, Bubbatwink (we adopted him as an adult so kept his name 🤣), Duchess, Calypso, and Poe. They all have such different personalities and usually can't find more than 2 cats in 1 room lol
I have a tabby striped calico kitty named Yuna and she is almost 3 months old🤭 she’s a very vocal girl and most loving in the morning and at night She sleeps in the my bed with me and I can’t wait to give her a little sibling. Whenever I get the opportunity to move out, I will so I’ll be able to get a 2nd cat
Hi Miki, I love your videos 💕 I’m not sure if you’ll ever read this but, I’m currently attending graduate school and I remember in a video you mentioned using scholarships for your school. Do you mind telling me what resources you used? ☺️
Be watchful of cats drinking unusual amount of water. Could be a serious underlying issue at play. Also watch what you feed them as kidney disease is a thing and diet would play an important role in helping prolong their lives. Processed foods isn’t good for them.
Got a cute corgi a year and a bit ago, is under two years old -not yappy and is always following me around. Came from company in Virginia, Pawrade and they were terrific to work with -connected me to a nice breeder in Missouri.
Lily is so cute! In the span of one year I went from having no pets to now having 3 cats. They're so much fun.
This is my future I fear 😉😉

Cats actually don’t like leashes etc, it’s all for the socials

She looks like my Dodo. Dodo passed away and I still miss her so much. That’s Dodo in my profile picture. I love cats and dogs more than people.
Where is the collar from? Looks like my kitty would feel comfortable with it as well

How could you NOT keep Bubbatwink's name? It's adorable! What does he look like? I need to envision.

THAT! when my cat started drinking water at 16 years old it was the beginning of the end😓😥
Wet foods will definitely help with that moisture. Highly recommend Jackson Galaxy videos on the topic
Lily is soooo cute!!! (๑•ᴗ•๑)♡
I don't have a cat yet, I have never had a pet before, but I am hoping I can get one in the next few months! 😊😊😊
I also thought that I would never get a cat, but I did!
How do I stop my cat from biting?! He is 3 months old and affectionate, but he just goes after our hands and feet while playing😂
Where is your top from?
new subscriber here!! i love your videos 💕
