Is The Car Rental Insurance In Mexico A Scam?

We recently travelled to Mexico during an outbreak of Omicron. We left Canada contrary to governments urgings to not travel unless absolutely essential. We wanted to get away from the cold, snowy winter and arrive somewhere we could enjoy the sun, the warmth and the beach.
In this video you will find some travel tips around car rental insurance, and getting through the airport as quickly and efficiently as possible.
We will be in the Riviera Nayarit for 6 weeks in total, 4 in Bucerias, and 2 in Sayulita. I will be uploading regularly on some of our discoveries, tips and adventures of this area.

In short, no. It's not a scam. You need TPL (Third Party Liability) insurance to rent a car in Mexico, and your credit card most likely does not offer that.
