Love your work normally but the drum/ bass hasn’t captured the essence of this one properly. The drum part is difficult though.

Not throwing any shade at Audra overall I love her. But, I find sometimes I absolutely love her voice. And others I find it really really off putting. Just depending on the song. There’s Rarely times when I think her performance is just okay....either something about it puts me off, or I love it

The metric modulation combined with Audra's brilliant low register makes this song sound current and relevant. You guys keep bringing it on these covers and it's always fun seeing how you reinterpret these tunes.

The very meaning behind the song: that everyone worries about maximizing the potential of their lives to the point that anxiety over making even basic decisions which may not have the best outcome, that they don’t value the freedom and pleasures that just living life already provides, will always be relevant. Changing metric modulations doesn’t change that meaning.

This cover is amazing but I can't quite place my finger on what's happening with drums right before the verse kicks in (starting around :10), the drums almost sound like they're dragging. I think they're on a different time signature if I had to guess but I can't quite count it out. I want to know the secret. That lipstick is fire too btw

i'd love to see tears for fears' reaction to this awesome rendition. you guys(and gal) are absolutely brilliant. to infuse your own signature sound while keeping close to the original compositions is just...*chef's kiss* PERFECTION!
Man, I love most of this cover, but I can't help but be extremely distracted and thrown off by the drums leading into the first and second verses, and at the end of the song. It completely throws off the rhythm and feels incredibly discombobulated. Aside from those spots, this sounds fantastic!

that drum pathern is precisely the one thing that attracts me to this cover. everything else is expected. I see it like this: you get bored with children's tv shows and music because they are too simple to you, right? so "scholar music", like the romantic era of russian music, or jazz, or traditional songs from a culture that you are not familiar with, these are supposed to give you the same feeling that you get from exiting a barney, the dinosaur tv show, and entering a tarantino movie or something. I am sorry that I sound arrogant, but if you dont appreciate the "discomfort" from art, maybe you are not opened for it, therefor, not attracted to enlarge your spirit, or something. and we tend to do that everyday more when we get older, we became less interested in whatever do not have a piece of us in it. and it is important that we face this problem. you probably just hate me for saying this, and think I am stupid, but perhaps it is something very usefull for you to hear.

the part distracting me was the lipstick. the drums sounded good to me, but it did feel jarring how often it seemed to slightly or dramatically change tempo.. though not necessarily in a bad way, just unexpected and confusing.. consider for context that i am not familiar with the original track, or the performers, so it's a fresh take.
