@@kln58cub not now you wouldn't want to hear him. From all the videos of him as he has aged I heard a very distinct change in his voice and his ability to sing. Now he strains and it comes out not horrible but not what we remember of this wonderful deeply expressive singer from the late 60s.
I just saw him last year. At 80 years old you do not sing with the voice of a 30 40 or 50 year old. Everything ages. His verbrato was not as tight and controlled as in this song. I think the key might be lowered a bit but he did not sing off key or out of tune. Did he sound like he was 40? No. No one does as we get older. The vocal chords change. Yours have or will as well. Not making excuses just telling you the way it is. I am SO glad I went to hear good music, meet an incredible decent man and bring back memories of a far more carefree and kinder time.

As of 1984, Gary's voice aged like a fine wine, maturing to perfection. He never sounded better, and this performance couldn't have been more pure and authentic. Gary was merely sitting on a stool, yet his showmanship was beyond superb. He thoroughly felt everything he was singing, and it came through quite naturally for him, which is clearly shown. My favorite Gary Puckett song was always "Woman, Woman" until I heard this gorgeous tune a few years ago. Stumbled across it by accident. Extremely glad I did because of loving it so much! However, the song didn't last long on UA-cam before being removed, so I thank Gary Puckett Music for reposting this beautiful song in 2021. Wish I knew who composed this gem. I was told that Gary and his brother did, although it's never been confirmed. Therefore, if anyone truly knows, please share. Lastly, Gary is coming to my area in August, which is the Big Flats/Horseheads area of New York State. Praying hard I make it to his concert, which he'll be sharing with many acts from the '60s. God Bless you, Gary Puckett, and thank you for all the great music that is timeless and will live on forever.
