Low blood pressure, also known as hypotension, is a blood pressure under 90/60 millimeters of mercury. Many people have no symptoms. When it does cause symptoms, they're usually disruptive, such as dizziness and fainting. In some cases, hypotension is dangerous, so early diagnosis and treatment are important.
