How wonderful are your videos and your banter with Jim I am living the rockhound life thru you guys and I think you teach us all thank you Kate and Jim
I am so jealous! Only in Montana lol. Such beautiful one of a kind agates! I loved the blues! You all are going to have some amazing cabs! Love Ya All!
Oh my Kate, you found some incredible rocks! Graveyard point plume is so distinctive, and anyone who's seen it before, knows when they see it again! It's just gorgeous! And you found some really great pieces! And some wonderful agate! That blue is just awesome! There is literally so much out there that you really, never have to dig to find some gorgeous material! Thank you for taking us to hunt graveyard point plume agate! It's incredible! Thanks Kate❣️
I miss my Oregon beaches! I have the biggest fist sized chunk of opal I found in Oregon. No rock, just opal. So Oregon coast used to be my stomping yard and I’ll tell you my secret places. Agate beach near Beverly beach is really good. But the cream of the crop is the wayside pull off just north of Heceta Lighthouse. I think it’s mile marker 169. Hike down to the beach and at low tide you’ll find gorgeous fossils and agates and maybe a gorgeous chunk of opal. @Katiedid, this is why I’m still struggling on the Yellowstone. I’m having a hard time recognizing good stones and ages. One of these days, I’ll have to show you my Oregon beauties. Oh! If you find a flat round or oval sandstone rock, take the time to split it open down the side. They usually open fairly easily with some persistence. Inside you find whole shells and if you’re really lucky there will be a muscle belly, the agatized mollusk. They are stunning.
Hey there! Keep trying on the Yellowstone - pretty soon you'll develop an "eye" for those agates, and then you won't miss the Oregon beaches so much. :)
Hey there! The saw works great, the feed vice is fine. Biggest issue is that changing oil is a huge pain, as there are just two bolts in the front that you're supposed to remove to drain it. We added some copper pipes to make it easier, but it's still kind of a pain.

The Conglomerate pieces of Agate are Fabulous. Thanks for sharing..
That piece at about 7:30 would make an awesome tiny sphere display piece❤

Thank you. :) It was fun.
A lot of beautiful colors, interesting to see how those types of rocks will turn out when you have done your "magic" with them

Goal for Katy Did is 30k subscribers for this year 😮 Soon guy's
:D That's a great goal, fastcarsarecool - but I've found that slow and steady is just as good.
I wonder if it would help to put them in iron out?
👍💯
Have you experienced any issues with your 10" Covington saw? Any complaints? I'm considering picking one up this year
