The Ultimate Tool Storage: No More Stolen Tools! [DECKED USA Truck Bed]

- When Decked offered me a deal I couldn't pass up on a set of boxes for our pickups, I knew I had to take it. The storage we now have, the durability and ease of access, it's unreal! 2,000lb payload rating on top of the box means you DON'T have to baby it, load it down. I'll keep posted on how this box works out! Any questions? Drop them in the comments below.

MattBangsWood for the win! Thanks for the rundown 🤘🤘
I bought my wife one for her Z-71 in 2016 I think. She is speech pathologist and used the boxes to store the toys she uses in her profession, the toys were in separate water tight boxes. In the first year the springs on both latches broke, I replaced them and they broke again. The boxes tend to fill up with debris then fill up with water when it rains. I like the idea of them, and truthfully it was huge waste of money, for us. I took them out a month ago and she now has full use of her bed again and can haul more alfalfa and feed for the farm.
I really liked the idea of them, the reality of them turned out to be different than I wanted.
Have had one for over 5 years now. Still works fine, no issues. My tailgate locks, so I don't use the box locks, never thought their locks were the best they could be.
Definitely good for organization.
What should I put in my little corner boxes? I need your help!
Do you like the system? I’ve been enjoying it, it’s helped a lot to organize my tools..
I'd use the 4 corners to mount metal footings and a put a steel bed on top so i could start mounting equipment, crane, rails, compressor, etc.
Is there room for some screws or nails for your nailgun.
@MattBangsWood This is the second time I’ve heard about this. Do you know if the locked drawers are actually 100% waterproof? The video I watched showed a guy put his white dress shirt in the drawer and went off roading and even washed it. It came out clean! Curious to know your thoughts?
Only thing I’d ever put in those corner pockets would be bungie straps and chains. I’m shocked their not waterproof!
Flowers!
I’d put the bang energy drinks in there once they sponsor you lol
Made one by hand that's similar for my '93 Chev. Such a game changer for the 8ft bed.
Glad I found your channel brotha ! First generation Drywall contractor, love to learn new things that help 🤙🏼
Your 4 corner ammo cans/storage holes. Tow chains/straps, tire chains, cargo straps, zip ties, extra motor oil bottle, GOJO hand cleaner, lots of uses that can get wet.
I use the 2 of the Corner Storage Pockets nearest the tailgate for (1) Ratchet Straps & (2) for Tubes of Sealants, Caulks, etc....Very Useful!
Nice. I need 1 for my work truck. But it needs to come in an out at times so I could load up a lota fire wood during the winter.
Use plastic frozen bags, put your items in then put in your 4 corner storage.
I have been looking for good truck set up vid thanks I think I might get this
coool ass intro animation ... 1st time I saw it. happy for your new tool storage!
As far as the small boxes, I would put straps and bungee cords, maybe flags for lumber when its sticking out of the bed of your truck
Matt maker good job
good job kid!
The Crazy Framer & MattBangswood collab ? 🤷🏽♂️
For the 4 corner storage areas: Ice and Beers!
gloves, trash bags, red flag, etc. also check out retractable tie downs on amazon. an absolute must for the decked system. i've loved mine for the last 2 years.
Millimetres are a game changer, give it a go.
That´s right 😉Greetings from germany.
@@floridalove I worked in Germany for a while 👍
@@jrsuk1170 Oh, great. I hope you enjoyed it.
This intro🔥🔥🔥🔥
Your the best bro keep it 💯
One of the drawers would be great great for the ice and beer 👍
the system I like and enjoy the system I have and you should put hardware in the little corner boxes
BEER! in the four boxes!
How do the tools and batteries hold up in the summer heat while in the drawers
Sweet set up man
I use the tough system then lock it up in my shop or truck
Where can I get that awesome sweat shirt? 👌🤟 stay safe man
I could totally use that! My HOA sends letters if my “work truck” is parked in my driveway.
Christ man where do they think your gonna park like it’s your house🤣
My question is. How easy or difficult does the whole system come in and out of the truck. Thanks for the review. Definitely is a cool system. And always Bang on Brother 🤘
4 bolts in the corner of the bed, accessible from the 1-4 cubby holes!
12 bolts through the top. Can’t take it apart without pulling the drawers out though. I could take it out in 15 minutes if I cruised.
Thats sweet. Thanks Mattbangswood 🤘
Matt are you going add a lumber rack to your truck to carry long lumber or ladders. Stay safe and keep up the good work.
That's a nice tool storage 👍, pretty legit
Put an extension cord in a plastic watertight bag and you could keep that in the compartments that get wet just in case.
I like the intro

Them are cheap locks. Anyone can pick them
Locks don’t stop thieves, locks keep honest people out, that’s it.

Looks good Matt, but the link for Decked website is not working.
You the man
Hey Matt I love your channel and all the great tips and lessons you teach. Thank you for sharing your videos. Seriously love them. I’m curious what your opinion is for the best all around work boot?
what about the bed tie in points? guessing they get covered?
Good day Matt, thank you for your episodes. Just recently I came across the scrail fasteners. Please, let me know if you have any experience of using those and what you think about applications they could be used
how many of the boxes can fit in your truck
because i have the same truck as you and i was wondering because my tools are unorganized
Pretty cool set up. But I still prefer my transit medium roof
You don't see many people running flat trays on theirs ute's in America. The vast majority of people here have a flat tray with either tool boxes or a canopy.

What’s the website for mattbangswood merch
After a hard day ice and beer. Dope box tho
Perfect🤗 🎉🌟
What happened to the buckaroo tool belt?
Could stack two Decked Out systems to double my storage?
Where did you get that band saw for corbeled beams
3:30 so you wouldn't recommend for a 8ft bed?
I like how at 3:30 of 9:30 minutes in, Matt addresses the obvious crippling failure of this system: "i have a 6'6" bed and you can see that there is another 3' of storage that I cannot access..."
Remember when he said it all cost over $2K? Yeah... no. Not for me.
What a waste of money
If it was able to be pulled out any further, the drawers could potentially fall or break the system with the amount of leverage applied to the top interior of the system.. It's called physics. Simple solution: Use their accessory boxes in that space.
@@DrSocky i fucking understand physics. You don't understand common sense. Why tf would some spend $2K on a product that is only half useful? For 3/4 that price you could get high quality ladder racks and a waterproof job box. Problem solved. Or, for double the price you could get a nice 7'x12' enclosed trailer. All in all, this Decked stuffed is nonsense and is primarily designed to separate fools from their money
Kick ass
The fact that they don't extend the full way seems like a missed opportunity if you ask me. Other than that, looks like a pretty slick set up!
If you wanna pay an extra 500 to get full extension drawer slides, go for it.
When can watch your next season.
I’m guessing you have 99 con on osrs?
I do, I’ve got a level 3 with untrimmed cape. ❤️ Where’d you find me? 🤣
@@MattBangsWood swampletics and I think mudkip as well 😁 awesome channel btw
upgrade.. F450 Dually
You only say it's the ultimate tool storage because you got 40% off. If you had to buy it full price then I don't think you would be making this video 🤷♂️
Hi, please include subtitles in your videos.
Just had a jobsite robbed and lost most of my tools smh
Looks like you don't use the bed of your truck as a truck bed. Just get an SUV. Seen lots of guys getting rid of these because they take up too much room for actually hauling stuff.
I can fit more tools in the trunk of my corolla ; )
Can you put 2,000lbs on top of your Corolla? 🤣 I worked out of a MazdaSpeed 3 when I was younger.
you have 7 days worth of batteries i got about 7 hours worth😂
Cost wat to much
👍
Its called buy a van
they make them for vans too
First comment
Appreciate you. 🙏
It looks like a awesome system, but I’m worried about the locks.
Here we hafto have a certain type of locks approved by insurrance company in case dumbasses find a way to break in and steal.
At least a six pin lock and up.
Thanks for sharing.
AMERICA...FUCK YEAH
😎👀👍
My trash trailer was stolen
You only charge your batteries once a week? Come on! Stop kidding. Even with all my large 12 amps, I’m still charging batteries daily.
I have a stockpile of batteries, I keep 4 on repeat throughout the day for my saw. Aside from that, 10 charged gets me through a week for drills, grinders, impact, etc.
@@MattBangsWood yea I was gonna say no way the saw batteries go a week. They have come a long way but if I'm about to cut 40 rafters I ain't about to use a cordless
All the dislikes are from tool thieves that are angry, because they won't be able to steal all the equipment you worked hard to buy.
No all the dislikes are from people that can read between the lines. He's only making this video because Decked got in contact with him and offered a 40% discount if he would make a video on their product. If he had to buy it full price then I'm sure he never would have made this video. There is very limited capacity with that Decked tool storage set up he has. I can fit more tools in my van.
@@AK-47ISTHEWAY lol, well of course you can fit more Tools in your van. Can you forklift a pallet of ready mix or per blocks onto your van? Different Strokes for different folks.
@@travisdoe4663 Not in my van, but on the trailer that I tow with my van.
