I think I'll grab 2, but im afraid it will cover up my electrical outlet on the passenger side. That outlet has actually come in handy a couple of times. I guess if the swing box makes the outlet unavailable, I could always just take the box off real quick if I need the outlet.
I had 2 installed when I got my truck new back in 2018 and have never regretted it once. I use my truck for hauling and for camping and every tool I need for both fit in them, out of the way until needed. I would definitely do it all over again.😊
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I have a left and right on order and was wondering how I was going to install them? You really simplified the installation and I am looking forward to getting these installed on my 2005 ford f-150.
I’m not sure but I could measure the length at the widest point when swinging if you wanted to check on your truck. Or else maybe reach out to swing case directly.
Can you still use your tie down? You mentioned the cargo net but I wondered how you used that? I’m thinking about this box but know after realizing I might not be able to use the tie down might be a deal breaker. Good video!
I'm not too sure. I think even if it didn't fit you could possibly use some sort of spacers to make it work. Maybe shoot them an email and double check if you don't want to risk it.
@@JustKingAdrian Thanks dude! I'll definitely send them an email before I buy. Got a couple other things to do first, and thinking about building a lock box under the rear seat
I've tried two of the less expensive versions. Both latches failed after a year and also with replacements. Any weight and bouncing in the back of a truck is just too much for the design. The latch needs to be redesigned.
I am not sure. They aren't mentioned anywhere in the instructions. Might just be a design choice for rigidity because they show on the inside as well and they hold a lot of weight.
How come none of these videos have people questioning cutting into your box liner and drilling holes into your box where water was not meant to drain out of. Moisture will surely get into these holes… Thoughts about this and rust issues as a result !?
Good day sir! You have had this for a year now. Would you do it again? Are they still holding up? Thank you!
These are on my radar full blast
I hadn't even heard of them but so far I love it! If it weren't for the price I would have done one on each side but I think eventually I will.
Thats going to hold a lot of bee, cold snacks lol just need to add a drain.
Nice but I don’t want to drill my new truck bed, maybe later , want to enjoy new before do modifications, but in my radar 👍

Cut a hole in the swing plate with a grinder perhaps? Or take it to a metal shop and have the. Do it?

Add a drain plug and that's a camping cooler

Geat video. Appreciate all the info bud.
How's it holding up and working out after a year of use?
Nice job on install and video. My only concern is that it may make a rattling noise when it's latched while driving?...
I don't hear anything from inside the cab.
Thanks for the product and, price awareness vid. They can KMA for 200 buck! I'll just hinge-in, a metal ammo box for free.
They have these on EBay for $70 to $80 each. Don’t think they are from the same company but are identical.
Can bed extender still be used?? Looks like it uses same mounting area
Just wondering if this product will be able to swing open if you have a 5th wheel hitch mounted between the wheels?

Are you still able to use the tie down?
How do you still use the cargo net? I just installed and really would like to add a cargo net also but not sure how will work
you'd want to lift and remove the swing case to utilize the cargo net

I think if you had to use that tie down you can just pull the box off the pin and set it in your cab. Still clean and no tools coming out. Temporary.
Did you find a way to use the cargo net with the swing case?
Great video bro. Very helpful 👍🏼
Thanks! Glad it helped!
Yo dude, I'm driving a late year 08 F150 FX4, extended cab, flareside bed in shadow gray. Any idea if these boxes work with flareside beds?

Self tapping screws and sheet metal are not a good idea. Vevor has one where you don't need to drill your truck.
would it fit a ford ranger 2005?
Great video man, thanks!

What brands did you try out?
Sounds like you got what you payed for
@MacfrazerGaming they are all the same plastic foolio..all junk
What are the four slots on the side of the swing case for?

They don't make it for the custom model of the silverado and
thanks
Hey what about the head lights we need a review. Plz 🫡
I have a video up with the headlights 👍🏼
Is it water proof?
I just made a UA-cam short and tested it out. 👍🏼
@@JustKingAdrian your awesome!
At first, but after several months they tend to leak. If you have a toneau cover that will keep them dry.
How did you get the raptor grill
I got it off Amazon but they don’t sell them anymore. I have seen them on eBay though 👍🏼
There are a few other brands out there , has anyone tried them besides this swingcase brand ? Theyre half the price of this brand
What brand? Maybe I’ll try one for my other side and compare the two.
Vevor. They are cheaper, but remember "you get what you pay for."
Hell nah, you ain’t gonna catch me drilling into my bed
It depends on the year of your truck I purchased two I never had to drill. My truck is a 2017 F150.
It's a TRUCK lol
Buy another one for the other side, plenty of room after that.
I think I’m going to in the future. I’m pretty happy with it so far. 👍🏼

What about a composite bed like a Tacoma or the new Tundra?
You realize they did a study and they proved that a bed cover decreases fuel mileage😂
🔥🔥🔥🔥🤙🏼
