I say it to my Catholic peers all the time. Talk to a convert. The love a lot of converts have for our God's Church is inspirational and humbling. We cradle Catholics can take notes and remind ourselves not to take the faith we have grown up in for granted.
I'm currently studying our Catholic faith way deeper than before. With all honesty, most of the time I don't seem to be much convinced if I ask protestant questions to Catholics and so what I did was search about the great converts and found a lot of them and one of these people are Scott Hahn, Steve Ray and Keith Nester. They all had the same journey, going back to the deepest roots in history beyond the reformation. They researched history and even knew about the dark ages. Catholic converts' journey back home to catholicism strengthened my faith to study more. Shalom 🕊️🙏🏼
I had kind of a similar experience. I grew up Italian Pentecostal. I was raised with a visceral hatred of Catholicism but I always loved my Italian identity. I started exploring Church history one Christmas when a Lutheran friend of mine invited me to their Christmas service. I was so shocked by how "Catholic" it looked but nevertheless beautiful. So I began researching Church history and was stunned at what I discovered. But because I hated Catholicism I drifted towards Orthodoxy and attended an OCA/Ukranian Orthodox Church for about a year. I loved the people there but I still had nagging doubts and concerns regarding Mary, who was by far the biggest obstacle to overcome emotionally. But I wanted to stay as far away from Catholicism as possible because it felt a betrayal of my parents and because I didn't want anyone to believe I was interested because of my Italian heritage. A friend of mine invited me to her Traditional Latin Mass one day and I instantly fell in love. Ultimately I became convinced of the papacy (especially because of the Council of Chalcedon) and was moved to embrace Mary. Then I knew Catholicism was the one true religion. I've never looked back since my confirmation. And I feel completed as an Italian as well. Home where I belong.
So happy for you. My friend is also pentecostal and its evident she is anti Catholic and hates them. Playing for her to see the truth and turn back to the way the Lord meant everything to be!! Amen
Just found you! I am a cradle Catholic but I left the catholic church after high school. Radically saved in 2013 at age 39 and now 10 years later I am returning to Rome at age 49!! God is good. God bless! I was raised in Westchester, NY.

You think Jesus is a Catholic? LOL....wow, what part would he most proud of? The burning alive of people? The torture chambers? The flaying them alive? Maybe the obscene amounts of wealth and power?

Being Catholic is deep and very difficult. It is rewarding, difficult but it makes a lot of sense once you see what it's like. I thank my parents for introducing me as a youngster.
@stonesymmetry Fascinating. Calculus doesn't make sense at all when you first look at it. I studied calculus for a year before I finally understood it. I read books about it, (yes books with not a single math equation) talked to my college professors and their students aids. I talked to my peers, and we had late night study sessions, and I studied on my own. Then finally the light bulb turned on and I got. You too, my friend will get it one day. You just need to study the material that is out there, and it begins with the good book and all the other books. One good thought will lead to another, and you will get it. It's easy to say it doesn't make sense and that Jesus didn't teach that and just walk away... but you must read.
@@Lab-Rat but you are NO following Jesus!!!!!! Where in the Bible does Jesus worship on Sunday? Where in the Bible does Jesus tell anyone to pray to Mary? Where in the Bible does Jesus tell us to use beads? Where in the Bible does Mary use beads? Where in the Bibler does Jesus tell us a mere man is Head of His church? Where in the Bible does Jesus say a church is the way, truth and the life?
I know, right? I used to think Marian devotion was all sentimentality and gooeyness. Fr Chad Ripperger says that Mary is everything the Devil wishes he is, which is why he hates her. Then it made sense.
Same for me with the Catholic Church. It’s the most criticized, the most persecuted, the most attacked and the most tangled in scandal. Only the devil would seek to destroy Gods holy church but it still stands strong. 🙏🏽
Welcome home to the Catholic Church. I am Mexican descent and I’ve been a Catholic my entire life and it’s such a blessing to love of Christ and the church he established.❤❤❤❤
This is great! Grew up cradle catholic and never embraced or knew the faith until two years ago! Being Catholic is the most wonderful thing in the world and I will never leave His church!
The Puertorrican ex Protestant minister Fernando Casanova found Catholicism by registering to a Marian Course at the Mayaguez University to look at how he can debunk the Catholic Church. Little did he know that the closer you are to the Blessed Mother the closer you will be to Jesus Christ. He left his congregation told them the truth about converting to Catholicism and now is die hard for the Catholic faith.

So glad I came across this video! I grew up Catholic and then converted to Judaism prior to getting married. My husband has quite the backstory, and I am praying every day for him to realize the truth in Yeshua. He actually grew up Christian as I did but his mother always told him he was Jewish ( he is, his background) so when he came to the US was into some bad lifestyle choices and then came to meet a group of orthodox Jews who found out he was truly Jewish. So he really acclimated to this lifestyle. That’s why it was so important to him to raise our family Jewish. After having my son, I went through some period of trying to find G-d and got caught up in some new age practices, which did help at first with meditation, but ultimately was leading me in the wrong direction. Because Jesus is such a no no in Judaism, I would not look into him too much until it seemed I kept being called to research him and when I brought up his name too much my husband would say “remember we’re Jewish.“ after he noticed, I was mentioning Jesus a lot. I tried to shut it down, but truly couldn’t and around last year this time I became very enthralled with looking into Jesus‘s life and what led to his crucifixion. Little by little, I really fell in love with my mind, and with my heart & soul, and knowing the truth in Him. In the spring and summer of last year, I was drawn to mostly Catholic content, but because I have evangelical protestant friends, I was influenced by what they said about Catholicism, and some other content I had seen about the idol worshiping , Mary, etc. in the Catholic Church. It’s been a long road the last year, but these last few months I have seen more and more clearly the truth in the Catholic Church . I started to realize in the other sects how much division there was, and how many problems from having everyone interpreting the scripture even the pastors, and saw how true Catholicism is for so many reasons, and especially the Eucharist, which I felt initially, and then being told it was just a symbol. I put it on the back burner, but re-discovering this truth is truly mind blowing. I cannot wait to receive this sacrament again. I go very easy with trying to evangelize with my husband. He does not know how I feel but I do say things here and there and at this point he is way more open to Jesus one year later I feel like I can talk about him without backlash, but I do tread lightly . Please pray for the conversion of my whole family. I do pray every day . I am so relieved to know the truth and trust the Lord will lead my family, and I so that we can all experience and live this truth.
@Devotionalpoet - I have no doubt that The Holy Spirit is on a mission, actively drawing you back to the Catholic Faith! YAY for you!!! I recommend you check out several of the UA-cam videos under the channel "Jews for Jesus", & also, read, & have your husband read Isaiah 53, which is known by quite a few Jews as "the forbidden chapter" of the Old Testament! Jesus IS foretold in the OT, but many Jews have not read this. I am very excited to hear about the journey you are on... our Blessed Lord is in pursuit of you, with unimaginable joy awaiting you. Hang on & take this ride... it is so worth it...HE is so worth it!!! ✝🔥😇 Also, I'm a little premature, but because I am unlikely to be aware when it actually happens for you, may I say, "Welcome home to The Holy Catholic Church"...YAY!!! [3.18.2024]
@@mcsmama thank you so much for this encouraging, thoughtful comment! I love to watch Jews for Jesus content. It’s so incredible to watch the testimonies of those discovering the truth about our Messiah in Jesus. So so beautiful 🥰 Thank you for reminding me of the Isaiah 53 prophecy . It’s funny that you mentioned it yesterday as yesterday was the first time I sent my husband one of the prophecies from the Old Testament. It wasn’t that one, but I will build up to sending him that one for sure. It’s so undeniable! I feel so happy on this journey. Every day it seems more is revealed that blows my mind 🤯& simultaneously warms by heart ❤️🔥I know it will be in G-d’s timing but I will be patient & trust in Him alone. Thanks again for the welcome home! It truly feels exactly like that, even if I’m not fullly back yet, my heart feels at home 🏠❤️✝️
@@Devotionalpoet Hi & thank you for sharing your thoughts with me... I love hearing what He is doing in your life. It's so cool to see what He does when we stop getting in His way! I had a couple additional thoughts/resources that you (& perhaps your husband, now OR later) might find helpful, & so just wanted to mention them here. Whether you decide to utilize them or not, at any time, of course is up to you, but I was moved to share them, so please, do with them what you will! 1) The book or movie, "The Case for Christ" - the movie can be found online to stream for free, so it's pretty accessible. It comes from the TRUE STORY of a man named Lee Strobel, an atheist at the time, who spent his working life as an investigative reporter. The nature of his work was always FINDING THE TRUTH, & digging anywhere he had to, to expose it & write about it. (I remember when I was very young, one of his investigations created a very big National (international?) scandal for a major auto manufacturer & ultimately, probably saved many lives ... think "Pinto"). His wife, also an atheist at the start, had an experience that lead her to Christianity, & Lee was livid about it. He decided to do his greatest job ever of investigating, so that he could absolutely prove to her that Christianity was a lie. What he learned caused him to have no choice but to acknowledge the truth he had uncovered & become a Christian... it's a great story! 2) Perhaps consider attending an RCIA (religious education) course at a local Catholic Church. It is a preparatory course for folks wishing to enter The Catholic Church, but it is also intended for people who simply want to learn what The Catholic Faith teaches. There is never any obligation or push to join the church... you can simply attend to learn. I sometimes attend these classes myself, because as a Catholic there is so much to know, & new insights can be often be gleaned just by hearing one thing someone else might say. 3) Even if you don't feel RCIA is for you, I think you would probably find Ascension Presents' online program, "The Catechism in a Year" with Fr. Mike Schmitz to be an absolutely invaluable resource. Every day, Fr. Mike reads a section of the Catechism & then discusses what he read. It's absolutely the bomb, for getting through the entire Catechism of The Catholic Church (which can be pretty daunting!), & getting guidance to understand it & understanding what Catholics believe. It can be found here on UA-cam, & can also be found in the free portion of the "Hallow" app, just to mention two possibilities. It never matters what date you start to read it, as any day you choose can be day #1 for you... you never have to be on someone else's schedule with it. Hope you don't mind my additional shares. Best wishes & God bless!😇 [3.19.2024 - Feast Day of St. Joseph, "Terror of Demons"!]
@@mcsmamathank you so much for this response & recommendations, I truly appreciate it! I absolutely love The Case for Christ movie, I am fascinated by this story. I watched last summer after a believer friend recommended, & absolutely loved it. I would love for my husband to watch it! I just recommended it to a friend recently, who has come back to the faith. I have heard of RCIA. Although I did go to CCD for many years and received communion and confirmation, I am glad to know about it and clearly I did not absorb a lot so I would love to go back and learn as well. I’ve been learning on my own for the past year, but an actual course would be awesome. My husband doesn’t get enthused for courses the way I do, but never say never, you just never know. When my friend said recently about telling my dad, I thought that wasn’t going to be possible because I wanted to keep it between him and I & didn’t know if he would go for that. I completely wrote it off as not possible at this time at all. Well wouldn’t you know that one day we were alone & I had a book about Thomas Aquinas out & told him how I’ve come back to believing wholeheartedly in Jesus & asked him to please pray for Etan, my husband. He said me telling him this is his prayer answered.🥹 So we just never now and I can truly never say never !

I like your humility in saying that you are blessed to be born Catholic. I most often see that Catholics say they are so proud to be Catholic. This is hard for other Christians to hear. I'm Christian, non Catholic, and I find my faith a blessing too, not a point of pride. Really it's more humbling than anything.
I was raised Catholic, I was lukewarm as a teen- young adult, than the death of my brother brought me and my family further away from the light. We would go to mass (the motions) but our hearts were shattered. We felt abandoned in many ways. Especially my father, he is really struggling with God at the time. Eventually, (about 10yrs later) I became hungry for God. I felt a deep need to read the Holy Bible. I consumed the word. I listened to an audio version while reading. I finished the Bible in a year and it was incredibly life changing. I experienced amazing things. I felt overwhelming gratitude for Jesus. I just wanted to be closer to God. Go deeper with my faith. I was lead to alot of Christian content on UA-cam. I started to notice though there seemed to be some aggression towards Catholicism. It was difficult for me because I had just gotten back into my religion but I kept hearing that God wants a relationship with me not religious practices. I was confused for a time. Unsure if I was following a false religion. We didn't have a good history for me to defend but it never really sat right with me. I knew alot of loving Catholics and Religious leaders and God did warn us that there would be wolves among the flock. I truly love mass. I think we need the church. We need order. I dont judge other Christians for thier choice. I think about what Mark said "For he that is not against us, is for us" I am grateful to have been saved and I am learning every day by the grace of the Holy Spirit. God is good. ❤
My journey is similar to yours. When I started studying the history of Christianity and the Catholic Church, it was like all the missing pieces of a puzzle fell into place.
I'm a cradle Catholic whose mother converted as she watched her husband, my father raise us Catholic and walk his faith. She was lutheran when they married. My father just lived the Catholic faith everyday and I followed, but my mother journeyed into it and I learned from her the reasons we believe what we do! I really am blessed to have had this mixture. I love my Catholic faith.

Shabbat Shalom brother Daniel. Been myself a traditional Catholic, my prayers are with you, so our Lord continues to provide you with wisdom and shows you the path to reach the core of our beautiful faith "the traditional Catholic faith". May God Almighty bless you and keep you always. Continue your quest.
Catholic Church is the only Church founded by Jesus! The first Pope was Saint Peter and his remains buried in Basilica in Rome. Proud Catholic here no matter what! GOD Bless You Bro.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️
Amen brother! LOL watch out trying to debunk the Church -- you might just end up Catholic! That was my journey, too. And just as with you, the key domino to fall for me was the real presence in the Eucharist -- that changes EVERYTHING! It's no longer about "church service", it's about experiencing Jesus very powerfully and very personally in the MASS. I can't believe I spent over 50 years hating the Catholic Church! So much of it based on lies and misrepresentations by people who have never even been inside a Catholic Church and who don't really know what's going on! I now have a love for Jesus Christ of an intensity that I never knew was even possible in all my Protestant years. And I LOVE Mother Church, which accepted even me, an enemy, and conveyed the faith faithfully to me so I could finally understand. Praise God for His unfathomable mercy!
This makes my heart sing. I know the feeling - I am in love with the One True Faith of the Church. If ppl only knew, they would drop everything and run to repentance.
That's amazing. Why do people "hate" the Catholic Church? Ok, so they haven't had a look at it in depth, but why hate it? Haven't they got anything better to do?
I’m 25 and Catholic raised but at 15 y quit the religion. I had an existential crisis a month ago and you’re very correct. I was an agnostic and after reading the Bible I went into tears. I regret a lot of what I’ve done and I do know Jesus is our savior and the son of our Lord. ✝️ You are very correct, I started to debunk and I’m Catholic again.
Just to bring even more love from Mother Church when the apparitions of our Lady at Fatima a Protestant asked one of the children to ask our Lady if he too could receive Holy Communion with the great number of Catholics present her reply to the children was “Tell him He is my son too”. That chokes me up each time I remember it. How can one not love our beautiful Lady. What is hers is Jesus’s. There were many conversions that day.
Thank you for sharing this journey. I was born Catholic and raised in the faith. As a young adult, I hit some life-changing obstacles in life which shook me down to my core, and I underwent a crisis of faith. But I am now in a journey back to finding God and devoting my life to him through all the teachings and practices of the Catholic faith. So your video came at the right time and I am most thankful to God for it ❤. God Bless!
I was a cradle Catholic and lost faith in my early twenties until my early thirties when I did my own research looking into everything and wow it blew my mind how much truth there was in the in the church I grew up in. My parents were not strong Catholics but my grandparents were very strong Catholics and even went to jail in South America in the 1930’s just for going to church and they even almost died there. Praise be to God for bring me back to my faith and welcome we are so glad you are here with us 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🥹❤️🕊️✝️ also Catholicism is the continuation of Judaism the completion of the Jewish covenant and the start of the new covenant. I also want to say there are sayings in the church that stated when the Jewish people convert in masses to Catholicism is going to be the end of the world because it will be the completion of the convent. What Jesus wanted from the Jewish people since he came to earth so interesting 😍🥰
Oh my goodness, I can't imagine what your grandparents had to endure😢! Jesus must've been close by & Blessed Mother praying for them to get them through the persecution. God bless them for their strength & faith, and you as well! +Deo Gratis + JMJ+❤

I needed to know why my life took such a , to me, wrong turn. In my search I had to make new desitions and my first was to not let go everything my wife had tought me. My wife was a devoted and true Catholic and when I met her I didn't go to any one church even though I was born a Catholic. This was the beginning of the rest of my life. Now I follow the Catholic Church as my saintly wife showed me from preying to honoring all that the church has followed for centuries. Especially the Eucarist. God Bless al who love Jesus.

Your story is truly astonishing. A dignifying and humbling journey in faith show the steps you’ve taken have truely made you blessed. I’m certain your calling is to continue to share more. I was a member of a parish group, meeting every Tuesday evening to discuss and pray for discernment in the coming Sunday mass readings. We had our parish sacristan who led our group, an extraordinarily lady who truly knew scripture, historical association and so much more, one of our parish priests present also for guidance. The value in these discussions were so amazing, that I never wanted to leave at the end of the evening. Unfortunately I needed to move away and join another local parish, but visit my old parish in the city whenever I can. Kindest regards from New Zealand. Edit: am Catholic born and raised. Many thanks for sharing your story.
Am glad to hear you as being young as you are ..have found the right road.....me being 59 wished I would had found that path long time ago...still...at my age...never felt so good with myself as nlw dwvoting myself to Mart..actually it was her to took my hand literally and showed me his son Jesus....this time for good.. now all I care is to follow his teachings and make myself honorable before him and GOD
My ancestral dna came back with some Jewish dna but mostly Spanish and English. I’m cradle Catholic but I drifted into the western pop culture religion (satans religion) and then after that religion drifted into Protestantism and came back home in October 2020. God Bless you
This was SO GOOD!!! I frequently try to illustrate these points in sharing my faith with others, but sometimes find it a bit difficult to keep from going off track & relate in the simplest ways, the core truths at the very center of our Catholic beliefs. I love the way you organized this presentation, & I love the way your apparently "normal", socially adept, genuine, well-adjusted, realistic, drama-less, well-balanced character comes through, in a practical, well-researched, calm, regular-guy-trying-to-live-life-on-God's-terms kind of way. No one could listen to this & realistically think, "this guy is so emotional he can't think straight", or "he's part of a cult", or "he's trying to manipulate me", or "he's holier than thou, talking the talk but thinks he can get around the walk". Cardinal Newman said, "To be deep in history, is to cease to be Protestant", & it is true. The Catholic Faith is not a whim... it IS the One, True Faith, gifted to us by Jesus Christ... it is the only way to be able to partake of His amazing blessed Gift of The Holy Eucharist... it is so deeply meaningful in every aspect, & is extremely well-documented in historical records. I am incredibly humbled every day that THIS is my Faith, & that He continues to be so willing to wake me up each morning & give me another chance to get it right. I am so grateful for His forgiveness, & His relentless pursuit of me, as I stumble through my human imperfection every moment, finally, Finally, FINALLY in pursuit of Him!❤🔥🌟✝🐑🔥😇 I am so grateful to have heard this presentation this afternoon... it's never an accident when something I needed to hear shows up. Clearly God placed this before me today to help me in MY journey, & to help me get better at helping others come to know Him & His Holy Catholic Church. May God bless you profusely.😇Thank you so much for this; I look forward to exploring more of your content! ["How I Ended Up Catholic! - The Jewish Catholic] [3.15.2024]
The Church comes before the Bible and don’t forget that the one who said that was a deranged and very soul troubled catholic priest and Augustine monk. The Bible was collected and put together by St Gerome who knew many languages and worked on it for more than 30 years, so we have the first 300 years of Christianity without a Bible book but the church kept together the knowledge of God and the accounts of the teachings of Jesus, second person of God, and kept it alive and truthful because the closesness to the events. First Christians also were known as the followers of the Way, the Bible that Protestants are so into it as “ Sola scritura” was only popularized since the invention of the print by Gutenberg and that was around the 15 century before that all the Bible was written by the Monks and it was painstaking the work they did but we find in some museums and monasteries the wonderful works of art that are those first Bibles and those monks really were living Heaven on Earth and fight the demons in daily basis as we do in our spiritual battles , thanks God we Catholics have so many powerful tools !!!
Thank you for sharing! You were really led by the Holy Spirit and I admire you for your determination to get to the Truth of Jesus Christ's only True Church. Welcome Home and blessings in abundance to you👐👐🕯🕯 I am a convert myself from the protestant church (one of the many!) some 35 years back and I love Jesus and His Church more and more each day.
I appreciate you and how much these mysteries mean to you. Me too. I was born into a family that practiced Roman Catholism. I went to and graduated from a Catholic Grammar School I have lived my life with God's Ten Commandments, the Seven heavenly virtues, and the 10 deadly sins as guidance for my life, the way I wanted to present myself. I believe in the Holy Trinity, I believe in the story told me, How Christ came to be, His story, everything Roman Catholic. I thank the Jesuits and the Sisters of Charity for shaping my thinking, feeding God to Me like Manna daily. I love to confess and receive forgiveness from my sins. God Blesses you, my dear friend.
Nice to hear a solid journey home story. The journey takes time and you put it in with study, prayer and fasting. I went through the same with my reversion.
Praise God you searched for the Truth, and found it. Most of my loved ones have left Holy Mother Church, and I pray for them constantly to return. God bless you, Daniel!
Yes we all have those family members who have left the one true church due to ignorance, confusion, weakened faith. Definitely a time when the enemies of the Churc of God are working overtime to win souls. We must pray and sacrifice more for those who are lost that they come back to the Good Shepherd. I should do more 🙏🏼❤️
Mind blown brother!! You have such an honest testimony that really shows your concern with finding truth. May God continue to bless you on your faith life.
May the good Lord through the Holy Spirit and with the intercession of our Blessed Mother bless you and continue to guide you as you deepen your understanding and knowledge of the catholic (universal) Church!
God bless you Daniel! You have given yourself, submitted yourself, fully to God. I am so glad that there are good Catholic evangelists all throughout UA-cam to teach what Catholics truly believe and not what people think they are. And to knwo HOW Mary loves you now....to have her bring you to Jesus...is beautiful. I tell people all the time...Jesus is the only way to God...but there are MANY ways to Jesus and MARY is the best way. She is not equal with Him, she is not taking away from Him...she is loving Him and reflecting Him and bringing us TO HIM! Keep teaching and preaching Daniel...we need more like you
Thank u for sharing, one of best convert stories that I ve listened to so far. I pray that others will follow your same journey to the final truth. To love and honor mother Mary is to love Jesus more. God Bless.
I just wanna share with you that after when i woke up this morning i saw your video in youtube feed and the Holy Spirit directed me to watch this for i have prayed something personal to God with regard to my calling.. at 17:10 in your video, i went into tears… And i was also listening to your other video regarding how the Holy Eucharist had been the reason why you knew this is where you were called to by God, i heard Mama Mary say “ God will bless you with so much more, my child” . Just like you i was growing up having all this questions. And now i understand why the Holy Spirit led me to you.. God is so happy and proud of you.. many years ago the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to me in my dream. This is why when i heard you mention her. I was really emotional..
God bless you, brother. Even some of us cradle Catholics have gone through a journey, and it continues. To find oneself in the barque of Saint Peter, and happy to be here, I am almost painfully aware that I need, and I want, to grow in holiness. I want to become a saint and, to that end, I need to avail myself of all the means of grace. The sacraments, what it means to pray unceasingly and to cooperate with God's grace so that I can know Him, love Him, and serve Him. To advance through the nine levels of prayer while also dying to myself and loving Him through my neighbor. And they will know we are His disciples by our love for one another. I look forward to your next video!
@@craigaxle1096 I’d be happy to. It’s not a broadly covered topic, but I can highly recommend this video of a talk given by eminent exorcist Fr. Chad Ripperger on it. It’s where I first became aware of it and, having full confidence in his expertise on the topic of Christian spirituality in general and spiritual warfare in particular, it’s a great place to start. Otherwise, I’m fairly new to the topic also, so we’re both beginners, as it were. For a while now I’ve just been trying to get a firm understanding of mental prayer, which he brings into the discussion here, because I want to make sure that, if I’m going to be spending a great deal of time engaging in it, I’m not wasting my time. But I also want to avoid analysis paralysis, right? Anyway, I hope you find this as interesting and informative as I did when I first listened to it. What really made it click for me was researching all the evidence for the Resurrection. This is what convinced me of our great responsibility and, ultimately, the reason I joined the Church. I pretty much live next to a Catholic chapel, so joining worship and eventually helping out with catechism was pretty much effortless (after well over a decade of interior spiritual war and painful intellectual research, that is).
I converted about a year ago. My father is Catholic, but my mother is a Methodist. My brother and I were not "raised" Catholic, though we were baptised as catholics and had first communion. This was because Dad had a philosophy to not teach us what to believe, but rather insted learn how to analyze information on our own, and to develop critical thinking skills. He though it more important to be able to know what we believe and why, rather than just to believe what he does because he's an authority figure. After leaving the Episcopalian church due to incongruous teachings, I decided to look at the Catholic church. My biggest issues were the same: the necessary befliefs about Mary, but most of all the primacy of the Pope. What convinced me was a book titled Pope Peter, by Joe Heschmeyer, and it made some convinving arguments, but the part that most intrigued me was how the speaking "Ex Cathedra" was akin to the Jewish High Priest donning certain garments when asking God for insight. I was skeptical of this claim, but didn't trust Catholic sources (because, naturally, they would be biased in favor of Catholicism). So I looked it up on a /Jewish/ website, and lo and behold they enthusiastically talked about these historic garments, and the ritual involved. And so faced that this was a fundamental belief in the early Jewish tradition, i had to accept that the stuff about the Pope speaking ex cathedra as a similar holdover was similarly true. And if that is true, then that means that the Catholic belief was true.
I was born into the Catholic faith by virtue of my parents. But it is only in the recent years (well into my adult life) that God is still guiding my journey to go deeper into what I believe in. I was fortunate enough to have learned early on to make a daily prayer specifically to God the Holy Spirit. With Him I was always getting insights into why other faiths seemed to be not consistent with His truth.
I was born Catholic too. Now I'm converting to Orthodoxy, but this feels like the first year or two I've actually been "Christian". Before I was just a kid and checked out. I believed in God, but I didn't understand even Trinitarian basics, nor did I think Christianity was anything but being "good" and avoiding Hell. It feels good to finally piece it all together, eh? We use a Greek word for what we are experiencing, which is having the proper "phronema", sort of means like a worldview that you live with "praxis". Despite the schism I pray the best for you and your parish. Thanks for leaving a nice comment.
God has drawn you to the truth and you are a great communicator who will play a big role in drawing others into the one true Church🙏 Greetings from Ireland🙏🇨🇮
Yes, yes, I thought when I found the Torah observant groups that there would be unity. Instead I felt like they were even more divided than Protestants. The arguments over God’s name and over the moon and which calendar to follow. It was so disheartening! I truly believe it was the Catholic Unity that drew me to look at it again with different eyes. I had believed so many lies about the Church and I honestly cried when I realized that I would have to become Catholic. Now I am excited, but at first I wasn’t because I had been raised all my life to believe untruths about Catholicism. It’s so hard to overcome that, but by His grace and Love, I have.
I am a Jewish convert to the Catholic Faith. I was converted by a dream. In one instant, I knew that Jesus is real, that He has all the power, and He loves me. I got on my knees and said, "I'm Yours, body and soul. Do whatever You want with me." My next request was for the Lord to find me my church before Easter. That was in 1990, and Easter was one month away. The Lord led me by roundabout ways to the Catholic Church, where I ended up on Good Friday 1990. I went through RCIA, and was received in 1991. I wanted to learn everything. I was, and still am, madly in love with Jesus. Sometimes in my studies, it was difficult to understand things, but whenever I had questions, I always went back to the Keys. Jesus gave Peter the Keys. Jesus also said, the Gates of Hell will not prevail against My Church. I am absolutely confident that I'm in the right place. Faith is a gift and I ask everyone to pray for all Jews and Muslims to receive the Grace of conversion and the gift of faith. The Lord is constantly working miracles. Just look at the "Comments"! So many converts!!! It's miraculous that God chose me, and I'll be forever grateful to Him. Thank You, Jesus!

When I decided to be Christian I started looking at the Protestant churches and went through the same reasoning. I wanted to know what the first Christians did. It was Catholic. The Didiche got me. It’s the Mass. I heard all the awful things Protestants said about Catholics and I believed them. I didn’t want the truth to be Catholic, but it is, No one can deny it. I’ve learned so much about our faith and it’s so beautiful. I’m so glad I used simple logic to find the truth. I dont know why all Protestants aren’t curious about the first church.
Once a person digs into the history, the scriptures, the traditions of Christianity there is really no doubt of God’s plan and the Church established to lead all souls to heaven
Convert here . Protestants listen to their Pastor , whomever that happens to be , and believe all he tells them .. that of course contingent on his interpretation or his leanings .. all they really know about the Catholic Church is what they have been told . I was a Protestant for 65 years .. went to the Catholic Church for answers .. what a beautiful awakening !!! You do not go to a Protestant to explain the Catholic Church , you go to the Catholic Church . They will answer your questions, pray for you , support you and love you regardless of what you choose to do ... NO pressure .. they inform and leave the rest to the Holy Spirit .. evangelism at its best . ❤
Thank you for sharing your story, Daniel. I was born and raised without a certain religion. My mom took the cathechism but wasn't baptized for some reason. She sent me to Protestant primary schools because I was a bit too young for school then. And I thought I was going to be a Protestant. Then, she sent me to a Catholic junior high, which I opposed at first, and told me to learn to be a Catholic, which I earnestly defied, because I'd heard about Catholic idolatry and worship of Mary from my Protestant friend. But two years later, surprisingly I felt I wanted to be a Catholic and was baptized the next year. Years later, my faith in the Catholic church was strengthened when I heard from a priest about the Second Vatican Council--the Catholic Church humbly admitted her past wrongdoings and repented, and admitted that there is salvation outside the Catholic Church (but not outside of Jesus). Long story short, now I am blessed to be married to a Catholic man and continuing my Catholic journey. God bless. 🙏🏼✨️

But it makes no sense at all and isn’t what Jesus taught or had in mind at all
@stonesymmetry Fascinating.

Also, I'm a little premature, but because I am unlikely to be aware when it actually happens for you, may I say, "Welcome home to The Holy Catholic Church"...YAY!!!

@@mcsmama thank you so much for this encouraging, thoughtful comment!
I love to watch Jews for Jesus content. It’s so incredible to watch the testimonies of those discovering the truth about our Messiah in Jesus. So so beautiful 🥰
Thank you for reminding me of the Isaiah 53 prophecy .
Best wishes & God bless!😇

He said me telling him this is his prayer answered.🥹
So we just never now and I can truly never say never !
@@mcsmama also thank you for telling me about Catachian in a Year with Fr. Mike Schmitz. Love his you tube, I’ve watched for a while.
I have the Hallow app and I see that it’s on there . I think I will check it out now! 👍
I’m impressed by your intellectual honesty and clarity. God bless you!
I am truly blessed to be born Catholic.

I think about what Mark said "For he that is not against us, is for us"
I am grateful to have been saved and I am learning every day by the grace of the Holy Spirit.
God is good. ❤
As a Catholic, none practicing, I have to admit. However!! For me, I know the Blessed Mother is with me, always ❤️
You better start practising what you believe! Ask Mother Mary to teach you how🙏✝️❤️🔥
Amen,🙏

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
AMEN! God bless.
God Bless!
Welcome home.
Great testimony!
Praise God!
There is something so beautiful about hearing other’s testimonies. I loved yours!
I’m so happy for you. I have been on similar journey, and am more in love with Jesus then any time in my life!
I enjoyed listening to your content....as a Catholic I will live, as a Catholic I will die.

I am a man of 77 yrs old that at the death of my wife is when I realized I was a real truthful Catholic.n My wife and I were married for 46 yrs. and for more then a yr. I lived a terrifing, lonely and the most painful existance a human could live. Then at one point of this nightmare of an existance I wanted answers.

I love being Catholic because of the union with Jesus whom we receive at each Mass in the Holy Eucharist! Blessed be God who will to stay always with us even to the End of Time!🙏💕☺️
Your story is truly astonishing.
Proud Catholic.. lots of peace in life even when there are ups and down. Thank you lord.
Welcome home dear brother.
I am so grateful for His forgiveness, & His relentless pursuit of me, as I stumble through my human imperfection every moment, finally, Finally, FINALLY in pursuit of Him!❤🔥🌟✝🐑🔥😇
I am so grateful to have heard this presentation this afternoon... it's never an accident when something I needed to hear shows up. Clearly God placed this before me today to help me in MY journey, & to help me get better at helping others come to know Him & His Holy Catholic Church. May God bless you profusely.😇Thank you so much for this; I look forward to exploring more of your content!
["How I Ended Up Catholic! - The Jewish Catholic]

Welcome Home and blessings in abundance to you👐👐🕯🕯
I am a convert myself from the protestant church (one of the many!) some 35 years back and I love Jesus and His Church more and more each day.
I appreciate you and how much these mysteries mean to you. Me too.
I was born into a family that practiced Roman Catholism.
I went to and graduated from a Catholic Grammar School
I have lived my life with God's Ten Commandments, the Seven heavenly virtues, and the 10 deadly sins as guidance for my life, the way I wanted to present myself.
So touched by your video and the comments down here about us being Catholic.
Keep teaching and preaching Daniel...we need more like you
I came into the church at the same time as you, glad we found the way bro
Beautiful & sincere sentiments.
Would you please list the 9 levels of prayer?
I'm not familiar with them.
God bless.

@@mitchellosmer1293 Those questions you gave was from the interpretations of Ellen G White, the founder of your sect, Seventh Day Adventist. Can you handle the truth? Ok , before she founded your sect, she was a Methodist, then a member of the Millerites. Obviously, she found those sects wrong so she started a new one in the 1800's. Now Jesus founded HIs church 2000 years ago. His church can never be the one which Ellen G White founded, right?
Ellen's family were hat makers. Hat making during those days used toxic substance called mercuric nitrate which cause lunacy.
That explains why Ellen G White was seeing visions which her followers like you took as prophecy. That is a matter of fact
You were fooled by a false prophet. You're DOOMED!
@@mitchellosmer1293 You are looking at this through a demented lens. Not through the lens of authentic Christianity. The Bible is AN authority, not THE authority. The Bible comes from the Church, the Church does not come from the Bible. Jesus gave His Holy Apostles a Church, not a Bible. Sacred Tradition is an equivalent authority to Sacred Scripture. The Bible does not have to say that God rested on the First Day… That’s not the point.

Wow! Incredible journey! Thanks for sharing your story.
God Bless you, brother! Welcome home… 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Dan you are an inspiration to a cradle catholic like me...
God has drawn you to the truth and you are a great communicator who will play a big role in drawing others into the one true Church🙏
Greetings from Ireland🙏🇨🇮

Welcome home Brother!
Welcome brother to the plenitud of all truth. Thank you for sharing your great testimony. Thank you.
When I decided to be Christian I started looking at the Protestant churches and went through the same reasoning.
I wanted to know what the first Christians did.
It was Catholic. The Didiche got me. It’s the Mass. I heard all the awful things Protestants said about Catholics and I believed them. I didn’t want the truth to be Catholic, but it is,
No one can deny it.
Even Google knows this😊🕯🕯🕯
Thank you for coming Home. God bless.
The first Christian’s weren’t Catholic, that came later
BLAME SATAN MY FRIEND ?
The lies of Protestant Propaganda mislead them!
Amazing story. Thank you so much! God bless.
Wonderful testimony.

You are so blessed❤❤❤
God bless. 🙏🏼✨️
