Good job Gig, I have spliced same size shafts by grinding a solid splint to go inside the tube any strong material will do like delrin, pvc, nylon even oak. Grind to loose fit a piece about 6 in long and epoxy it in works fine nice and stiff .
Good job buddy if you would have slotted that cut off piece from the old shaft heated it up it would have slid inside the carbon fiber shaft then put the Gorilla Glue to hold it inside you would have to flip it around to use the other end and then cut the other piece off I like it the way I did it like I told you the other day because using the old lower end of the shaft there's the drain hole but I like your invention also keep getting up buddy I'm sure there's people out there making modifications now also like your one subscriber said he didn't share the link though
Hello!! I used the lower axis of the nokta Legend, I designed the anchor for the coil, I have the print file. If you want I can send it to you or upload it to a page like Cults 3D so you can download it!
All the diy work to make the Equinox some what reliable, now having to do the same thing on the overpriced Deus and using parts from a $250 Simplex is comical, the Simplex and Legend don’t need to be worked on and you can buy two Legend’s and a Simplex for the price of a Deus😏

Good work Gig Thank you for sharing with us.
I'm an artist and even though I don't do metal-detecting innovation and experimentation are important in any kind of hobby you pursue :)

Sir great information thanks God bless you.
I like it Gig!
Hello Gigmaster
someone needs to 3d print a coil centering mount that accepts the nokta lower shaft without any modifications. should be easy enough to do.
Hello!! I used the lower axis of the nokta Legend, I designed the anchor for the coil, I have the print file. If you want I can send it to you or upload it to a page like Cults 3D so you can download it!
I’m also interested in getting some of those piece’s from Jed.
I would like 2 sets of Jed's bushings if he decides to sell them. Thanks.
I’d be in at 2 sets if Jed would sell them 👍
Hopefully XP will start making lower carbon fiber shafts soon.
Who's the vendor
It says don’t turn your Deus on with the lower shaft is not extended why is that .
I need some of Jed’s products…
Hi there, is there any chance Jed has the 3d print file anywhere? Happy to pay, thankyou
👍🏻
GIGS-SPIRATION INSPIRATION
I wouldn't make a hole for it
Why not just use a D1 shaft. No wobble.
👍🇬🇧
