Great install vid. You did a great job. I have the same undeglow it's on my car. I just need to replace one side the roads in town here ate very snowy and the wiring even though I had it tied up got caught on ice and ripped off so I'm reinstalling a new one today. Keep up the awesome vids. You rock

Or will they turn on again every time the car starts and need to be turned off in the app every time? I'm just looking to make sure I can keep them off and not have them turn on every time the car starts. Thanks man, it's really impressive how good you are at responding to comments!
They should be off, because if you tap it into the 15amp it should have power at all time.

how did you connect the controller wires to the fuse adapter wires
I just strip out the wires and just connect them together. You can just use electric tape or you can use a wire connector for it

No way !! I found this video and I was like that car looks familiar 😂😂😂 lmao it’s literally my car.
Careful guys, I purchased everything listed and installed following the video for the fuse tap part. Never spliced wires before but video made it look easy. The fuse adapters are listed at 12V but only 5A, the fuses that it comes with them are also only 5A. Video says to tap into 15AMP or 7.5AMP with those 5AMP fuses. Found out after I blew 2 fuses! Also, I believe the ring connector used were for AWG12-10(yellow) ... I used the same ones, but aren't we are supposed to use AWG 22-16(red ones) for these wires?
They aren't long enough, so I plan to buy 2 kits. Take the side skirt ones from kit 2, cut them off, then cut off the fronts from kit 1, and connect the sideskirt lights to the wire for the fronts, so I have two 5' lengths for each side up front. I'm hooking mine up and making a circuit so they turn on when the car is unlocked, off when locked, and on when the door is open, off when door is closed.
Great video watched like 10 times to get my lights installed😂 only question I have is the adapter they gave me for my fuse box doesn’t fit in because the one open fuse I have is right next to a big one, can I strip the red cable and directly put to my battery or fuse cable?

Great video, thanks for posting. Is there a way to wire it up or adjust the settings so the LEDs will come on automatically when the car is unlocked, remote started or the trunk opened etc? On the same note can they be set to turn off when the car goes into drive? Also can these exterior lights be dual connected to interior LED lights so the are all on the same settings??
All of that can be done based on what fuse you tap into if you hardwire
Yes, I’m sure it can. Like, you can turn it on and off when you tap it into a hot fuse
Use the fuse for headlight if you have remote start.
I have a 2016 Impala and the underglow turns on when I use remote start.
I had to go into vehicle settings and selected headlights to turn on when using remote start otherwise only your directional lights will only turn on

No, but you can also do that too.
Can you hook it to a fuse that will turn it off when moving? like to park break release? or whatever? In BC Canada the underglow cant be on while moving i think.
I’m not sure, I know that people have a switch to turn it on and off but I’m not to that level yet lol
Which fuse did you hook it to? Power seats, dome lights, or what? I'm trying to figure out a good fuse to hook them to.

I'm not sure but just try not to make it touch the exhaust.

Have you had any battery drainage issues after leaving the led’s on when the car is off for a while? Love the vid btw (only one that actually explained throughly)
I personally I leave them on for a couple of hours while the cars off and everything still works fine hope this helps
@@champgarza5130 Thanks, I’ve heard the led light drain you battery but I’m guessing that’s only if you have both (red and black) wired into the battery. I have mine wired into a 15A so that they can be on when the car car is off but do you know how to turn the underglow off on the app?
@@lolmikez218 well actually mine is wired to the battery was my first time and I do all my cars to the battery now but I’m not to sure I only have the remote to them there should be a way to go to the settings on the app and possibly show you
I believe if you wire it to the battery it will drain. Also, it’s not safe to wire it to the battery too. It can cause a fire.

Thx for the vid. How are the lights holding up sticking to the inside of the pinch weld? You said you glued it? And I’m planning to do the inside of the pinch weld because if I put mine on the side skirt, I’m afraid you could see the LEDs and typically we want to avoid seeing that. Thanks!
I meant 3m tapped lol but these hold up good. I just kinda messed them up because my car was very low at a point. But these are also water proof. From my experience I didn’t see the led strips when I put them on the side skirt. Overall, this was one of my favorite mods.

Is preferred to hook it up to the fusebox under the hood or inside the car by the driver seat?
Any is fine. I just did it under my seat but you can do it with any fuse box as long as you have power

When it comes, it comes with the cigarette port installed already. I just cut them out.

No, I haven’t had any. It’s just that my car is low is I scrape these
hey so i wired mine the same way but after one day the negative cable connected to a metal surface stopped giving power and stopped working . is it okay if i keep my positive cable wired to the fuse adapter and the negative cable connected to the battery?
I’m not so sure. I never tried that. It could just be something lose. Try to connect the negative wire to a different bare metal bolt
So the picture on Amazon shows a quick disconnect between each light strip. However when I received my kit it was only two strands (like shown in the video) The problem with this is if you connect the light strips to your front or rear bumper and then if you need to remove said bumper the light strips are attached and need to be removed to take off the bumpers. If there were quick disconnects you could easily disconnect the light strips and then remove the bumper with the light strips still intact.

But if the car is off & I can still connect & turn the under-glow on via Bluetooth then doesn’t that means it’s always on?

You can also put it to the 7.5 or 7 amp just so it will only turn on when the car is on.

I have a question. So I added this to my celica, and when I put the fuse part, my led will stay on even with the car off. I see that y have a fuse already on the wire, is that fuse needed?
Yes, and yes that fuse if needed so it can transfer power.
I just installed underglow lights that come with a key fob remote, even when car is off they stay on and there connected using 20a fuses for top and bottom and just turn on and off remote. Should I be worried about waking up to a dead battery sometime or what advice do you have to prevent a dead battery??
I would recommend 7.5 of 7 fuse to be extra safe. But I ran with 15 and it was fine

Yeah, you can do that too.
I fitted mine and went up the boot drain plug then wire them to the boot side lights so turn on when you turn your light on. Just add a fuse it’s better that way than just battery coz will drain if forget

Yes

I don’t think so. I never had a problem with it from my experiences. Everything worked fine

I noticed you only used the 3M to attach the lights. Have you had any issues with the lights coming off after so many months of use at this point? I’d love to not have to screw anything on if I don’t have to. Lol.

It came with the adapter fuse. You just match the fuses that your car uses.

What size fuze taps must be used?
You can pretty much tap it to any. Just don’t tap it into fuses like airbags, alternator, horn, or ignition. You can put it on 7.5
Can you connect the wire direct to the battery?
Yes you can but I don’t recommend it. A lot of people do connect it to the battery though. It may just cause a fire
What does the fuse adapter help with?
So it can connect into your fuse box. And a safe route than just connecting straight into the battery
Rule of thumb for the legality, any color in used by emergency services lights are illegal to be on your car. So generally, blue and red are illegal if your not a in service cop, firefighter or ambulance. Yellow usually is also restricted. If you Wana avoid trouble pick any color but those and look up for any extra restrictions.

@@lanabear9097 Red is fine for break lights and rear lights, while yellow is fine for your turn signals. As long as the red light don't flash your fine. In some places red and blue under glow are legal but cops will annoy you with tickets that you will have to contest so you might as well not use them
so basically for those of you who don’t know.. isn’t the smartest idea to use them while driving your car. If you are stationary and they are on it shouldn’t be an issue.

No, as I showed in the video. The wire that is connected with the cigarette, I just chopped those 2 out. It shouldn’t be 2 black.
