So that never again Ukraine/Mother hear no more the cannonade of guns.
it was wrote in 1938 as ducks said. it was wrote in the Soviet Union. the truck is called the BM-131 "Katyusha" Muliplte rocket launcher. the truck is not named Katyusha. its a nickname for the rocket system
@@PatrickStar-yd9fh Hate to be that guy, but it was designated "BM-13" (БМ-13) not "BM-131". Here's some other stuff about it and its names: "Katyusha" was attributed to it because of the cover designation "К" when it was still considered a "secret weapon", with its true designation being kept secret from those operating it until some point in 1942. There was also the БМ-31 or "Андрюша" (Andryusha) later on during the war. For the rocket launcher itself: M-x-y represented towed variants (M-8-24 would be a launcher carrying 24 rockets of model 8, M-13-16 would be a launcher of 16 model 13 rockets) BM-x-y describes a vehicle mounted variant (some had the same names despite being on different types of chassis; sometimes the rocket count was dropped, such as on the BM-13) Also of note is the Studebaker variant, the БМ-13Н (BM-13N) which was designated differently probably because it was based on a lend-leased American truck. As far as I know, this is the only variant designated like this.
Ukraine's Great Patriotic War is being fought as we speak and Ukraine will be on the winning side. The sooner (with more western aid) the better for Ukraine and for the world. Also Ukraine will take ownership of Katyusha, throwing Russia off that unrightful spot

Russia: Writes a song about a woman longing for her beloved who is fighting in a war in order to boost Russian soldiers’ morale in WWII. Ukraine: Changes the lyrics but keeps the concept the same, and the new song is used to boost soldiers’ who are fighting against Russia morale. Russia: “You dare use my own spells against me, Potter?!”
You are dumb none of what you said for either context is correct. This song was made way before the war in Ukraine. And as for “fighting to boost Russian morale in ww2” that was the Soviet Union a collection of republicans it was not just Russians. Get your facts straight. This was embarrassing to read.
It was boosting the morale of Ukrainians, Belarussians and other soviet WWII soldiers as well. BTW, the Katyusha weapon was designed by a Ukrainian-born engineer
Russia did not write this song. The composer of the music was a jew who was born in the governorate of Chernihiv (today Chernihiv Oblast of Ukraine) at the times of the Russian Empire. So the music has something to do with Ukraine and can't be considered "only russian".
Too bad they are at war..... They need peace, it's worse that Russia started it. Troops didn't know, now they're fighting for a bad cause, one that they won't be able to enforce...
No matter how many times it has been adapted, "Katyusha" is always played when the soldiers say goodbye to their families and go to the front. This song reminds me of the Red Army soldiers who fought against the Nazi invasion on Ukrainian soil in World War II, and even more so of the Ukrainian soldiers who are fighting against the Russian invaders in Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, and Luhansk now. Slava Ukraini! Fuck Putin!

I have a question. In Russian lyrics the name was originally Katyusha, and Katyusha in Ukraine is Katrusya. Why here in this song the name is renamed as Tanya? Tanya and Katyusha are diminutive of different names, is it? Katyusha is for Ekaterina, and Tanya is for Tatyana. Is Tatyana and Ekaterina the same?
These are different names. Among other things, the Ukrainian version of the name Tatyana is Tetiana (Тетяна). Tanyusha is, rather, a Russified version (for example, in the Ukrainian novel Pan Khaliavskyi by H. Kvitka-Osnovianenko the form Tetiasia (Тетяся) is used. In addition, the Ukrainian pronunciation of the performers is far from perfect (there is a Russian accent). If people speak some language just because they want to be different from others, they are not always good at it.

It's not "Katyusha". Catherine is not a good name for Ukrainians. She dumped Stanislaus Augustus for the tsar she hated in exchange for power, then killed him and put Potemkin in charge of Ukraine. This song is "Tanyushi".
