A couple of items: This is duct tape, any color is okay. Make sure you get a good sticky kind, not the cheap stuff that is real thin. Don't stick the tape down, just stick one or two corners. The roaches push under the tape and get stuck by their back. One piece will continue to collect roaches for several days. The stuck roaches seem to attract other roaches. Please Subscribe, Thank You!
This is such a great system. How do you keep peanut butter residue from getting onto your vehicle with it being the side that's directly touching it? Its amazing how effective your results are.
Don't press it on tight, leave it as loose as possible - I only put it on plastic or vinyl surfaces usually and the peanut butter kind of dries out and wipes off easily. Just use a small thin dab, smaller than a dime. On the carpeted floor mats where I put it sometimes there seems to be little or no residue also. Thanks for watching!
@@cubmancan amen! never had these before, just moved into my first little apt, and after about 8 months i saw them, hadn't seen little roaches like this b4,...I might apply this idea somehow at home
hey, just curious? is there a reason you dont do it with the tape facing upwards?? I am assuming since the bugs like the dark and small spaces, you putting it face down Is more appealing to them because it’s like a dark hole/cave of food to them ?
Thank you I’m definitely gonna try this can i use any type of tape my husband has industrial brown tape can i use it for my car? I’ve bombed this vehicle3 times already but it seem to bring them out more i just bought this vehicle used and it’s infested Didn’t find out about the roaches until it was purchased 🤬🤬🤬🤬
I have tried several kinds of tape and the Duct Tape works best, and the cheaper brands of duct tape seem to work better. The bugs need to be able to snuggle under the tape to get stuck. You may have good luck with the brown tape though - try it if you don't have the duct tape. Let me know if it works well! Thanks for watching!
I layed my tape upside down so glue is facing upward 🤢🤢i got em they came with a car i bught out of public auction car looked clean im came outside side to get my phone charger omg there hanging out i got them bro thanks 👍👍👍👍
Yes, You want to leave a small air gap in some places so the roaches kind of push themselves under the tape. The PB will help hold the tape up a bit for an air gap. The best tape I have used is a flexible medium grade duct tape. The high dollar tape seemed a bit stiff to allow for the bugs to get under. Make it out of 2" wide tape and the length is up to you - depends on where you will put it. On a level surface is usually good, like the door thresholds, console areas, even on the seats and carpet when not driving the car, but watch for too much sticky glue messing up your interior. Length can be about 5" up to about 9", up to you. Place the PB dabs about 3" apart, maybe an inch from the tape ends. Using 3 to 4 traps at once in the car will give you good results. Thanks for watching!
Peanut Butter seems to work very well; I have also put some apple peelings / cores around it to attract the buggers to the tape. Put it all in a small cardbox with one side cut out (like a Pop-Tart box) works even better! (Around the edge of the refrigerator or cabinets). Gives them a false sense of security, I think. I spray a thin coat of PAM where the tape will sit so that it doesn't stick down too firmly. Hope it works well for you!
Just lay the container trap in the back floorboard, or if you find a lower profile container like blueberries, etc. come in, under the seat is good. I have just set it in the rear seat at times. If it is an SUV, in the hatchback area is good. The roaches seem to like the darkness under the seats, or around and under the console area. Basically anywhere near where you see small roaches of their droppings is good for trapping. Thanks for Watching!
yeah catch those buggers. I was swapping my tires and one large roach and small roach happened to jump into my car from a tree. I tried spraying it but the larger one ran into an opening in the carpet. Damn. If I see an infestation this is what I am going to do! Thank you very much!
Did you manage to get rid of them ?…..have the exact same problem right now . My Car is brand new ….however ….I had a roach hitch a ride in a bag of old text books . When it jumped out …I tried grabbing it but it managed to find a way through the rear seats . The rear interior is currently stripped and have set some bait ….unfortunately I cannot seem to locate the roach .
@@TNTnanii Glad it worked for you - I have had very good results also. In fact, we have had virtually no roaches for over a year. I do set out a new "trap" occasionally just to make sure. Thanks for trying it and watching!
Thanks for Watching! Yes, the little dab of Peanut Butter seems to space it up to give a little gap they can wedge into. They will sort of burrow under there. At first, I tried putting a tooth pick under the tape, but that did not seem to work as well. One thing I do is fold a corner or end under a little so I can handle it without it sticking to my fingers. The tape sort of creates its own gaps too as it usually doesn't lay perfectly flat.
I tried some various types and it seemed that a good medium quality grade of duct tape worked better. I recently used a higher quality Gorrilla brand duct tape which was thicker. It worked okay but seemed too stiff to let the roaches get under there as well. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
Hope it works for you - It did for me, but I have now found out what works even better is putting the tape/peanut butter rig inside a small cardboard box (I used the Quaker Oats 10 envelope box). Cut all the flaps off the box except leave one long one and Lay the box down in front of the refrigerator vent with the open side toward the refrigerator (so it stays dark inside). Or maybe use it in the car's floorboard. Use an apple, banana or peach peeling inside the box to lure in the roaches. They will crawl under the tape and stick to the tape. You can fold it up, throw the tape away and replace the tape/peanut-butter strip for a new cycle. Thanks for watching and for commenting!
@@cubmancan I have to redo it, because i did it tape side up & used almond butter = only caught 1😅 So, i'll incorporate the box idea also by the fridge. They're too clever🙃🙏
