The biggest thing I like about your videos (vs too many others) is that you show the ups and the downs. Far too many "Homesteading" videos just show the ups and make it look like homesteading is a piece of cake. You guys show that, while it obviously has it's good side, it takes a lot of hard work to get there. Bravo. About 40 years (4 kids and 6 grandkids) ago, my wife and I looked into homesteading. But those 40 years went by awfully fast, so we're stuck living vicariously through you. Please keep it up.

For twisting wire to the t-post, take a one x three piece of flat steel and drill a hole in one end. Makes twisting the wire easier on your fingers.

It's a little late in the game for this suggestion, but I'm going to put it out there anyway because maybe it helps someone else or maybe there is a next time. If you make the end of the pole pointy or even rounded it will be a lot easier to get a roll of wire on to it.

Nice thing about being off grid is that you have very little need for fences. Unless you have neighbors.
Several posts back I suggested that you look for a snatch block with a sheave 5" or 6" in diameter. Makes retrieving logs MUCH easier. Look at yard sales garage sales and second hand stores. May take a while but will pay for itself.

Great work Katie and Greg. I love watching the videos you work as a team and the final results show the attention to details you place on your work. I will also like to add a comment when hammering the fence I use a 1lb hammer at the opposite side and it makes the hammering easier. The layout of your road along the fence route is excellent the fencing off will be worth it to protect yourselves and your animals from preditors. God Bless you both 🥰👏

The fence lines aren’t straight so if we put the fence on one side of the post, when we tension it would pull away from the post. So we alternated depending on the direction of the fence line
