One of my favourite side quests in this DLC is Follower or Leader. It's in Heb Sed, and the character Setna who wants to be a scribe instead of warrior like his father. One of the moments between Bayek and him is when Bayek says "But you don't want to defy him. Even if that means oblivion. Perhaps I could be your champion." and Setna replies "And what would that make me? A coward? A failure.." And Bayek tells him "Smart. Such trials are not the only thing that makes a man. I would teach my son this." It's another great example of showing that after all the years since Khemu's death, Bayek still has that fatherly side to him.
I really enjoyed Curse of the Pharaohs, and it's probably my favorite of the supernatural/otherworldly Assassin's Creed expansions that we've gotten since AC3. You can see a lot of its influence in The Fate of Atlantis in Odyssey and much of Valhalla as well.
Hahahaha bruhhh I know he’s really difficult but he’s not that hard playing on easy mode. Now on hard mode it’s really bad. They killed me in like 3 hits on hard mode lol. 😂😂😂😂💔💔💔💔
In my first experience with Ramesses, I went up to slash him and he immediately grabbed Bayek broke his back... Insta desynchronization... my reaction was just "bruh"
Honestly I had the opposite experience with Tutankhamun, he was the only one I very nearly died on all the others I beat first try without a scratch, its all about reading their moves and waiting until they leave themselfs in a vulnerable state most notably after a combo much like Souls/Borne/Sekiro, but there was something about how Tutankhamun moved that I just could not get a handle on.
Yeah I remember using a sickle blade on my first playthrough I enjoyed the "berserking" playstyle the overpower granted its something I abused the crap out of when it came to the War Elephants. XD

So true. I thought this game was already amazing with adding thebes, but when I saw the afterlives I was astonished. And as an egyptologist I am still very surprised about the accuracy and respect they put in talking about this mighty faraohs ❤ they gave them justice.
Seeing a compliation of you dying to Ramsess made me also remember who fucking tough his fight was. He was by far the one that I struggled the most, everytime there was a pharaos shadow, I prayed it wasn't Ramsess, if it was, I was like "nope we skipping that" lmao. he was the true main boss lol
Played both Origins DLC's recently for the first time and it was a lot of fun. I'm not a huge fan of boss fights and so I needed some time to figure out how to beat them but at the end I managed it. "Curse of the Pharaohs" is pure fantasy, something I don't expect from an AC Game but the ancient Egypt setting is to fascinating to skip a second.
I played this recently and really liked it. I still remember telling one of my friends in school, "I beat Akhenaten yesterday bro. And that too on Nightmare difficulty." Everybody else in the class was clueless. We had a good laugh about that!
I just finished the DLC a few mins. ago. It was so much fun and I learned some things I didn't know about Egyptian history (Like Rameses II having red hair (and most likely a lot of his children (he had like 99 to 100)) had red hair as well. Also, the heal quick bow was my friend during all of the boss fights.
7:59 actually Curse of the Pharaohs takes place just before the Hidden Ones dlc! I know it’s pretty confusing since hidden ones came out before curse of the pharaohs did
I was in the back of his military with this game came out 6or 7 years ago so I never got around to playing it until I downloaded it last week. I absolutely loved it and have been having a hell of a time. This is turning out to be one of my favorite games in the series
I've been waiting for this video ever since you did your review on The Hidden Ones DLC. This one has always interested me and made me consider playing Origins.
This video is what exactly I thought about the DLC. The Nefertiti boss was tipping point that it made me rage quit and play some other game for a month. I had to lower the difficulty as I was raging more that may affect my health. Well the locations were very beautiful & it really was grind to find everything.
For the bosses you would want to stay away as much as possible and use your arrows. Once the arrows are finished, you can use a weapon with a long range and high damage for example a scythe or heavy blades. I beat Nefertiti and Akhenaten easily, Rameses was a bit tough but the one that gave me the most difficult time was Tutankhamen. He has a long range weapon as well so make sure you use firebombs to weaken him up a bit once your arrows are finished.
I had the opposite problem with the boss fights. All of them were difficult, but I got them done in three tries or less. It’s the spear guy who absolutely wrecked my shit and left me raging.
Glad that im not the only feeling that the boss fights were really hard (even though I put it on normal) it still felt like im not even doing any dmg to the boss at all and I was like "Am I even doing dmg? I have maxed everything (except the ability's) and I still felt like im doing level 20 dmg"
I remember playing this DLC before playing The Hidden Ones DLC. Having new open worlds to explore in a DLC is great and this one went all out. I will say I like The Hidden Ones DLC more because of the narrative with continuing Bayek's character with further establishing the Hidden Ones plus his Hidden Ones outfit is awesome, but yeah this DLC had better open worlds and gameplay.
That’s because a lot of people forgot or just didn’t know that the way years worked back then, was they’d count it backwards as each year passes instead of forwards.
@@windebiesteultima3317well that’s actually kinda not true..WE started counting backwards after the so called “death of Christ” but that’s neither here nor there, good day sir.
Personally I remember Valhalla bosses to be harder than any from Origins. Could be because it's more recent game or because I tried to fight them underleveled at times. Bosses from Forgotten Saga can't be topped though
man, you people don't understand what the DLC was going for. it's not real, you get that, right? just like it's not real that everything the Egyptians believed in existed. this DLC is what represents their beliefs. Bayek isn't really travelling the afterlives, he believes he is because he couldn't explain it any other way and that's what we're seeing, an exaggeration of what he thinks is real but isn't. like when people thought ones with epilepsy were possessed by demons. the same thing happened with Valhalla. what Isu really looked like versus how the Vikings perceived them and we in game are seeing what the Vikings believed was happening in front of their eyes. that's why you can have mystical things in games because of what people thought was real which actually isn't and can enjoy something that otherwise wouldn't be possible in an AC game set in any other period.
Also another cool thing about the dlc, you can boost any of your files (existing or new) to lv 40 instantly I believe and have lv appropriate gear. So if you hate the grindy aspect of the game, this is for you
You mentioned that you had to use a cursed weapon, I personally love the cursed weapons, and try to always have one on me, I just like the extra damage and the challenge of less health
My tactic for the pharaohs are when they show up they gonna be locked in the animation for some time so the shotgun bow will do a trick And then use a rapid fire bow if my health depleted
Hidden one dlc was phenomenal, I have curse of the Pharoahs as well but haven't finished it yet as it's more of a supernatural/fantasy, which isn't really my thing, but bayek as a character makes it worth it.
ya know, I had the most trouble with Ramses but Tutankhamun also dragged me around several times before I beat him. Maybe it's skill? maybe it's weapon choice.
This and Hidden ones were really good bang for your buck.... Specially getting it in sale. To me the final Boss was the toughest one for some reason, the rest was quite easy tho.
You mentioned that you are going to start again playing Odyssey, and now I have to subscribe to see what comes next. Personally I genuinely like Odyssey, for me it is one of the best open world games of its generation. I know that a lot of hardcore Assassin's Creed fans hate it, and I see the point that it is not really an AC game, and it should be obvious it is not, the Peloponnesian wars were fought 400 years before the events in AC Origins. What I think Ubisoft tried to do was to expand the AC universe, to consider other events in history that would be influenced by the Isu, and the whole "The gods were astronauts" concept, which would be great to see. The mistake from Ubisoft side was obviously in naming it Assassin's Creed, it should be just "Odyssey". The game has its flaws, mainly in trying to be too much epic, and sometimes being repetitive in some of the side quests. But still I really like it, I started playing it during the beginning of the COVID pandemic, and being able to just explore what felt like an infinite world was really all I needed at that point, if anything I would like that it would include more RPG elements, like consuming food items and having to rest (RDR2 style). A couple of things that make the experience better, you must play with Kassandra, she is the canon main character, no other way about it. Avoid grinding, this is not really needed to progress the game, do the side quests marked in Yellow in the area, but never go to the "Misthios Board", those are the boring and repetitive side items, the compensation is only a bit more resources and XP, and.... You don't really need XP, the auto levelling in the game makes that there is no real advantage to do any grinding. Through the main story and crafted side quests (Yellow Marked) you will level enough to achieve everything at the right moment. The fantasy elements in Odyssey is another great point, many AC fans don't like those and I heard more than one say that this is not "historically accurate", but guess what? The existence of a Creed of Assassins is also not historical... The fantasy is well explained in the game lore, you should not really seek these missions until you are assigned them. At this point a reasonable explanation of their meaning is given. There are also a couple of side quests that have you see the fantasy side from the point of view of normal people. I really hope you take your time and enjoy Odyssey.
We still get the modern day in Odyssey by having the first returning modern day protagonist since Desmond. Assassins racing Templars to an Isu macguffin is also nothing new for the series in the modern day or the Animus, and that’s a major plot beat in Odyssey’s Animus and modern day storylines (the Cult of Kosmos seeking control of the Leonidas bloodline, as well as the power Atlantis would give them). The modern day also brings in things from comics and novels, as well as having a modern day plot element to Fate of Atlantis including a boss fight against Otso Berg after he’s been built up over the story of the DLC.
The DLCs were really good for this game. I prefer this one, because I felt Hidden Ones too same to the base game in gameplay. Will you make videos about Legacy of the First Blade and Fate of Atlantis too, when you finished your new Odyssey review? Ps: Seeing all this freakout over SW Outlaws gold edition price, I think many people don't know what a Ubisoft Season Pass means, and how much extra content it will contain, that makes it worth the price. (I even think some people think it's a battle pass). If you're interested in that game, maybe it'd worth doing a video about that, to clear the air.
@@cyberpuma99 Orgins is so damn good. I just started gaming like a year ago.. and I started with Odyssey which I loved. Now I've done, everything from Unity to Valhalla. Amazing video man!!! I love this DLC so much. The story and characters were amazing. The afterlife maps were stunning and beautiful. The armor upgrades and weapons were amazing as well!! I really hope they make a sequel for Bayek. He really needs another game! Also the missions in this DLC where Bayek would be helping a stranger with something and then they disappeared and it was Bayek talking to himself at the end, that was really crazy seeing that for the first time. Thanks 4 this video-Just started up game n played a little and still in 2024 its amongst the best games visualy/graphics are looking really great in this game i think!
This was a great dlc that went on for too long and was padded out with filler. My favorite part was the beautiful unique environments, the field of reeds and the Duat. I really liked how the Egyptian religion plays a big role in the dlc, since Bayek is a very religious person and it is important to his character.
Bro i am from India and i also make videos like these But i dont get views, because normally the videos are impressioned to people near you and people near my location don't really watch these videos Can you suggest something?
@@KR_Cubing12 LOL.. i don't know. Don't mind me I only started gaming a year ago. I don't know what the pitfalls are for other gamers when trying to purchase games.
the dlcs timeline goes as such: hidden ones - 10 years after the main game, curse of the pharaohs - 4 years after hidden ones. great video either way, keep up the good work
The amount of time I have spent in photo mode in the afterlife areas should be studied 😂 Some of the most visually stunning places Ubisoft has made just in general, idk But it feel ALOT more realistic in its mythology compared to Valhalla and Odyssey, in my opinion. Also if we don’t get a Bayek Sequel It’ll be the biggest missed opportunity the franchise has seen
The apple of eden. It creates the shadows of the pharaohs that appear in the regumar world. And it creates the illusions of the afterlife. So basically, as soon as you enter the afterlife bayek falls asleep and enters the illusion. I don't remember all the details so there might be a bit more to this, but that's the most of it
I hated this DLC honestly. I love Origins and I love the Hidden one DLC but I could not finish Curse of the Pharaohs for the life of me. Once the whole gods and divine realm shit started I completely lost interest. Assassins Creed with fantasy elements at the front stage doesn’t vibe with me. I’m cool with some sci-fi like in the older games but the new trilogy sci-fi is just too much for me personally
I liked the DLC in isolation, but yeah this was when the series really jumped the shark into complete lunacy. A lot of people say that Origins is where AC changed as it was the first RPG style game, but it was really this DLC in particular that changed the games into what they are now. Though I guess technically the Tyranny of King Washington DLC did it first, but at least that was handwaved away as being purely simulation made by the Apple.
I'm the complete opposite. The series has always had sci-fi fantasy roots and they're now fully embracing it. The best parts of Origins and Odyssey were the mythological elements and enemies. Hell my favorite part of Odyssey was when I played through the Fate Of Atlantis DLCs.
@@fakjbf3129 tyranny of king Washington was cool because it was like you said a simulation, and also it was so outlandish for the series that it stuck out. Now those fantasy elements are baked into the new games, so they aren’t as special when they show up.
@@Hoppelite I like having the outlandish parts as DLC. Going through the Egyptian, Greek and Norse mythology and afterlifes is really cool and I hope they continue doing so. But as you said it’s the fact that they are putting these elements in the base game that is my main contention. Keep the base game mostly realistic with a bit of sci-fantasy flavor and save the crazy stuff for DLCs.

If you're interested in that game, maybe it'd worth doing a video about that, to clear the air.
oh god i'm in nightmare mode and about to play this dlc soon. wish me luck boys
Rise Of Ronin has been said to be a dissapointment do u think Codename REd will be good ?? im hoping so
It'll be good for those who enjoy the modern version of AC. The Ezio fanboys will hate it though.
@@timotmon I love the ezio games but I also like the rpg games infact origins is my favorite in the franchise
@@cyberpuma99 Orgins is so damn good. I just started gaming like a year ago.. and I started with Odyssey which I loved. Now I've done, everything from Unity to Valhalla. I'm half way through AC2 right now and it was hard to accept such low end graphics.. but now I can see why everyone loves Ezio.. he is great but I still think Bayak is the GOAT so far IMO.
@@timotmon fax people be hating on origins to much
Red will definitely be better then Rise of the ronin for sure
Amazing video man!!! I love this DLC so much. The story and characters were amazing. The afterlife maps were stunning and beautiful. The armor upgrades and weapons were amazing as well!! I really hope they make a sequel for Bayek. He really needs another game! Also the missions in this DLC where Bayek would be helping a stranger with something and then they disappeared and it was Bayek talking to himself at the end, that was really crazy seeing that for the first time. Even replaying it many times it’s super freaky. All around awesome DLC and we need more like this in Assassin’s Creed Mirage maybe. 😁😁😎😎💯💯💯🧡🧡🧡✨✨✨🏜️🏜️🏜️
Small DLC SPOILERS:
I believe one of the side quests even mentions the fate of the Apple of Eden after the main story.
Bro how did you find tutonkamun EASY!? The combos with the spears are impossible to dodge 😭
How to get that glowing sword and armor that looks as if its permanently on fire
I can’t wait for Hexe to come witch trials hope they do it justice
This dlc is so good.
It is
i all most just got origins and its one of my favorite ac games and just games at all keep op the good work assassin
I played orgins for the 1st time on PS EXTRA i liked it so much i bought and played both DLC 's so i essentially own DLC for a game i dont own
Hey Master Assassin, why don't you rank the prologue of each AC game?
Nefertiti was a horro for me to kill(until i used correct weapon n then it suddenly was pretty easy...just remembering i though thats it i will never play again after everything else in game was easy for me exept just this "Boss" so was it just me?)
So gold edition has all dlcs and stuff but some claim they got a.c 3 remaster+another older game with the gold edition?? was this from another place then ubisoft if they are correct?
Thanks 4 this video-Just started up game n played a little and still in 2024 its amongst the best games visualy/graphics are looking really great in this game i think!
I played this masterpiece second time on nightmare difficulty and that was............
Bayek had sooooo much potential!
When you replay all of Odyssey make sure you get every mastery skill 😉
Can you do this DLC on nightmare mode (when I die the video ends)
This was a great dlc that went on for too long and was padded out with filler. My favorite part was the beautiful unique environments, the field of reeds and the Duat. I really liked how the Egyptian religion plays a big role in the dlc, since Bayek is a very religious person and it is important to his character.
They had a chance to make a plot about how bayek meets his son in the field of reeds and they didn't took it
Bro i am from India and i also make videos like these
But i dont get views, because normally the videos are impressioned to people near you and people near my location don't really watch these videos
Can you suggest something?
Do you maybe know when will be the next sale for Origins on Microsoft Store I missed the last one
Why not steam? I think it's on sale right now.
@@timotmon you can have a guess
@@KR_Cubing12 LOL.. i don't know. Don't mind me I only started gaming a year ago. I don't know what the pitfalls are for other gamers when trying to purchase games.
@@timotmon so the problem is I'm on xbox
@@KR_Cubing12 ahhh.. makes sense. Forgive me.
I only played origins cause it was Egyptian I love this DLC
the dlcs timeline goes as such: hidden ones - 10 years after the main game, curse of the pharaohs - 4 years after hidden ones. great video either way, keep up the good work
Been waiting play origins dlc for yrs now I might do it soon, then just need get to lvl 30 play hidden ones dlc 😂
This is peak AC mythology for me.
4:32 😂😂🤣🤣
Masterassassin, have you ever played Dead Rising?
I’ve never played assassins creed before, which game would you recommend to start?
Ac 1
@@lastpuff😂
My favorite Assassin's Creed DLC
My dad used to play this then he gave me his progress. I tried the dlc only once. I got fucked
What is the lore justification of the dlc?
Like how the pharaoes raised from the dead
The apple of eden. It creates the shadows of the pharaohs that appear in the regumar world. And it creates the illusions of the afterlife. So basically, as soon as you enter the afterlife bayek falls asleep and enters the illusion. I don't remember all the details so there might be a bit more to this, but that's the most of it
this is my fav game
why you suddenly posted this after 1 second when i bought ac origins
😂
I wish masterassasin did a ac unity syndicate the ezio trilogy survive and for ac unity and syndicate again
Pls do ac odyssey’s dlc the fate of Atlantis it’s rlly good😂😂
I have the dlc just never played it
