That's a very good observation. I've been playing around with XR15 Blue and noticed that it's PAR in the centre was less than my new hydras (for prev gen on both it was the exact opposite). But it is definitely a lot more even spread.
@@TreasureCorals I have hydra 26 hd and when mounted at the same height the hydra would be double the par. Althought it's not spread out as evenly, I just ended up using 6 of them on my 3ft. I am able to get over 600 par throughout if I wanted to now. The radions would struggle to get 250 par at water surface level.
Yes the par directly under the light is lower... because it actually has the ability to spread the light. I just made the switch from hydra 32 to XR15 blue, with them mounted at 7 inches the overall par in the tank is unquestionably higher. Despite the fact that the par directly under the light went from hydra @ 650ish to xr15@ 400ish. But 12 inches to the left of the light, it went from hydras@ 65 par to xr15 @ 250... so not less, just better distribution. And that’s at 7 inch below the water surface.
Very beautiful tank! I really like the way Dayne positioned his G5. I am coming from 400 MH with radium and still can not find the same results with LED. I am going with G4 + reefbrite XHO which I believe would look similarly to his old G4 + T5. Would it be possible to you share your program setting ?
@@TreasureCorals thank you! I know he keeps his light on from 5 PM to 3 AM, but it is more how it programmed each radion G4 or G5. I think he mentionned the intensity of 75% but what is the pourcentage of each LED bulb's color. I am using the AB+ pre programmed from ecotech but I can not find the ideal aspect I would get from Radium MH bulb or Pheonix 14k as you mentionned.
How many gallons is your tank? It's very nice; I've been wanting to do something about this size to recess into my dining room wall. I picked up a pair of the Gen 5 XR30's a few months ago for my 90 gallon. Still playing with it to try to get the right combination.
Yes, I noticed that as well - I wonder if that's something they will fix with the firmware update, I had a similar issue with my Hydra 64 HDs and now they are silent. I am running XR15 Blue G5 on one of the tanks and do not experience the same level of noise.
Dmitry Tumanov - yep I had one about the size of a penny, he burrowed down in the corner , when I moved him all the silicone was eaten out in a perfect circle. Lucky it didn’t leak , tanks only a year old too.
думаю, что да. Я сейчас запускаю новый аквариум с очень похожими размерами, но буду ставить 4-5. Вам бы посоветовал 4 все-таки, у новых лучше покрытие, но они менее сильные чем 4-й.
What a beautiful tank. New lights look great. Now I want to upgrade my gen 4 also. Thanks as always for the great content.
This tank is amazing! Thanks for sharing.
Need another video just for the sump ,refugium , filtration . What a show tank
If you go a couple of videos back you will see us geeking out on his sump / fish room and all the equipment
I’m out of the hobby now but when I get back in I’m not sure if I’ll go Radeon or not I had a lot of problems w bleaching that I never had w t5
I have been using T5 and Radions on the same tank, I would not worry about bleaching with Radions, as long as nutrients are in place we should be ok.
Had to switch back to my hydras because the radions had lower par. More even par though. And also the glare is the brightest out of all the lights.

@@golbs7542 Interesting. I've got a couple of new projects coming up soon so I think I'll be able to share my experience on it soon :)
We won’t see much more innovation from Ai as they will never out perform their flagship radion, seeming they owned by the same company

400 gallons
That tank is awesome pack ed with eye candy
loving itt!!
Does the GOPro have a orange filter on it? WOW amazing coral shots
No orange filter
2:27 Do you use coral lenses when you shoot video?
It depends, but for this video I did not use any coral lenses.
Would he share his light rack setup?
Very Nice! What is Daynes view on nitrates and phosphates? :)
Tries to keep them present but not too high. His phosphates have been dropping a lot :)
We'll go into it in more details in one of the next videos
@@TreasureCorals Thanks, I'm looking forward to it :)
let me ask if it is g5 blue or g5 pro
G5 Blue
How price is it to build this tank?
I think the glass is not even the most expensive part. To stock it fully with coral, now that would be costly. :)
The fan noise on the G5s is horrendous you can hear them in the video

Доброй ночи.А какие настойки использует народ для радион 5 15 про?
сильный синий цвет плюс чуток белого
Why dues he run the lights from 5pm to 3 am?
Cheaper electricity and you get to enjoy the tank at its brightest in the evening when you are around.
