Here's a funny story: about 6 hours after my transplant I stopped into a gas station on the way home. After pumping gas, I noticed that I had lost the key to my car. So I ran about the gas station retracing all my steps to see where I could have dropped my key. They say you should avoid any strenuous activity for at least a month after a transplant. I was running around like a mad man looking for my car keys because it was 1:00AM and I was in a small town in the middle of nowhere. I finally found my keys and made it home safely. But now, 10 weeks after my procedure, I'm hoping that I didn't destroy any grafts during that ordeal. Fortunately, I didn't see any bleeding that night, but I have to wonder if my grafts were damaged from my running.
the only thing that would cause running after the surgery is elevated blood pressure. The only thing it can do is push them out of slits as they're not healed and anchored properly. However you would have seen this immedaitely and it would likely cause bleeding. If this didn't happen, you are fine.
unfortunately impossible to answer as each case will be very, very different. That being said, crown is a black hole. It can take thousands of grafts no problem due to whorl pattern.
I didn’t wear a hat for the till about after 2 and half weeks after ht. I’m 2 months and few days after procedure and still fairly red. Unfortunately I have to wear a hat and a bump cap for my job. 10-12 hour shifts
@@MrRolandas is acne normal as well for past 2 month mark? My clinic says it’s normal but then tell me I need to take a few medicines for it. I see online some people say it’s normal others say it’s not. Also I don’t have any itching really at all
Your clinic will always say everything is normal and fine. Otherwise you can blame them. Personally I haven't heard of acne coming out of transplant. Worth seeing a dermatologist to see what's up and get this sorted.
A guy I know had a HT and they put some sort of a surgical cap on his head, it was taped on the sides and the top didn’t touch the scalp, he kept it on for the next day and flew back home with it, removing it only when he was back home. Good idea?
some clinics do this and if put carefully without moving it, it's absolutely fine. They usually put just above the grafts and just below the hairline/transplanted area and tape it to the forehead. This is not however a regular hat people usually wear, so if the clinic didn't do it for you, then don't do it yourself.
@ if hair is transplanted on the temporal peaks, this type of hat wouldn’t work right? And if the flight is 2 days after a HT, you would need to remove it I assume
It's not ideal I agree, and yes, this gets tricky with temple peaks. I personally wouldn't opt in for that, however if that's what your doctor does, you must follow his advice.
welcome back boss and happy holidays, I wanted to ask you a particular question, for those who unfortunately are not lucky to have a donor area like yours, would it be possible to use it all and then cover with SMP? I know that many surgeons would refuse but I think that anyone would prefer the risk of a cosmetic defect on the sides or back of the head rather than on the top
@MrRolandas however I cannot understand why they would accept the risk of leaving unsightly patches rather than removing everything which at least would result in a "homogeneous" result thanks for the reply
@@AllelliAgnegriScopano good doctors won't leave the donor patchy. They will extract homogenously and take as much as donor allows without it starting to look thin overall.
Would you say if someone hit their head really hard after 3 weeks of HT could it affect the transplanted area or is the grafts safe and securely anchored to your scalp?
It is possible to damage grafts with strong enough impact. Same like if it weren't a Transplant. I've got multiple scars on my head from string impacts to the head in childhood. There's no hair in the scar. That being said, usually strong bleeding will accompany. If you didn't have bleeding, you likely be fine.
@@MrRolandas I see, I might've damaged them maybe then. No bleeding occurred but I hit my vertex so hard on the wall, and on the microwave door when I was going up, I felt it just hit on the spot and I haven't had any growth there.

How do we calculate the crown area? How many graft do you need per square centimeter?Maybe a strange or difficult question, but I need an answer.

Depends entirely on cars by case basis. Can be 500 grafts, can be 5000 grafts

Absolutely. Just hair shouldn't be taken from retrograde affected areas.

technically it is possible indeed, however like you said i can't think of any surgeon willing to do it

@@MrRolandas 14 months now since my surgery but I've had minor growth but not what I was expecting I think me hitting might play a role in it.

Because I had a very big area to cover and very thin hair.
1.5 years in between 1st and 2nd. 3 years between 2nd and 3rd transplant
You missed one that you did in your video lol - 3.59 Drinking Alcohol - I would advise avoiding this for at least 1 month after HT.
