- Hello friends!
I’m back with some updates from Antartica after a couple of days with seasickness.
The report is that the ice is melting much faster than we thought and this is serious because the poles are the ones that keep the balance in the planet, and they are disappearing.
The positive news is that we have solutions: the technological ones, that we are seeing here, are with the heads of technology, that are coming with feasible solutions like renewable energies.
There are also human solutions: to go back to our hearts, to go back to our ways of being in communion with nature. Using what we need, not what we want. And giving more than we take.
The solutions lies in our hands. Let’s become the change we want to see in the world.

I just came across your youtube channel today and I strongly resonated with your talk about the real secret of the secret and recognizing that shaping reality comes with consequences and that a healthy earth is fundamental. I also thought the idea of including death as part of your altar space was an important insight. It's also great that you are digging into the climate crisis. I believe that spiritual growth will be a necessary, and perhaps even unavoidabl component of navigating our ecolgical crisis.
That said, the idea that there are technological solutions to our probelm is overly simplistic at best. The idea of "green" tech is a gross mischaracterization. There may be technologies that in some ways are less harmful than others along certain metrics, and if we focus solely on carbon emissions, we might conclude that solar and wind powered technologies are solutions, but in truth, we are facing what some experts are now calling a polycrisis. The core problem is not the concentration of atmospheric green house gases, though they certainly are a major problem with likely catastrophic consequences. They are a symptom of the deeper problem of ecological overshoot. The earth has existed for billions of years without technology needing to "save" it, and the amount of industrial mining and land use that will be required to outfit the world with modern living standards will not only be ecologically destuctive, but logistically it likely cannot occur on the time scales that are being outlined. What this green tech approach is really about is saving a particular lifestyle, not the planet.
I understand you want to bring hopeful news and that the tone in which we face a problem colors the outcome. That said, we have to understand the problem itself before we can talk about solutions. I would strongly suggest you take a look at Nate Hagen's extensive talks on "the great simplification" and also check out the youtube channel Planet Critical for some highly informative discussions on this complex problem. Without looking at the details, the notion we can tech our way out of this, even with caveats about being in our hearts, will only keep us tethered to the wrong path. There are fundamental, structural problems and limits not simply economically, but in the mass production of these technologies, that need to be understood, and we don't have a lot of time before these limits begin to powerfully assert themselves.

The climate will change and continental Antarctica has cooled dramatically.
If we can get this message across to the Chinese, Indian and Indonesian governments, this would drastically help climate change. They are the worlds leading polluters. Most of the West's footprint is a drop in the bucket compared to those areas of the world. I wish all governments will assist in guiding those nations into some sanity, and provide the funding for them to actually be able to innovate. Sadly, they don't really care as well as those nations who are the worlds top polluters.

The curvature of this planet can be witnessed, with your eyes, when flying the polar route in a jet.
Like all the "planet's" in our solar system, yes we are a round and rotating where gravity holds us down.
