    If you could go back a few thousand years and show the same areas you would see a mile high glacier.

      A mile high, seriously? Do you even know what something a mile high looks like?
      The climate has changed over millenia but extremely slowly. And those changes did cause millions to die and even entire species to go extinct.
      The effects of humanity are changing the climate extremely fast in a way that civilisation as we know it will be unable to survive.

    This is normal. We just speeding up the process. This earth is older than you think and there’s been more than one flood and global warming is not uncommon… Nothing new under the Sun.

      And what extensive research and training are you basing that on?
      And along with your extensive knowledge of how the global economies work, can you explain how our civilisation is going to react to these extreme changes?

      if you speed up the process, it will forever be irreversible.

    Ya and in Canada it use to be a tropical jungle when the dinosaurs walked the earth ……. I guess over millions and millions of years nothing is suppose to change ?

    • @baneofbanes
      @baneofbanes Рік тому +1

      Thing is it’s not been millions of years has it?
      And yah if things change too much our civilization will collapse.

    • @alkaholic4848

      If Canada becomes a tropical jungle then everywhere closer to the equator will become too hot to be inhabitable. The whole world would have to move to Canada and Northern Russia to survive, how do you think that's going to go down?
      And that's only skimming the surface of the problems.
      Yes the climate changes naturally over millenia but it's extremely slowly, and it does cause millions to die and even entire species to go extinct.
      Due to human interference it's now happening extremely fast, and society as we know it won't be able to survive.

      Can you provide references for this measured increase?
      Or is it just something you believed because you liked the sound of it?

    I have a question for Guy. What evidence is there that proves the mile high glacier comment? Surely you didn't just say that without proof....

    So with all this ice melting, is there actually anywhere that’s been flooded or has lost shorelines? The rich seem to be buying up a lot of oceanfront properties.

    • @baneofbanes
      @baneofbanes Рік тому +1

      Yes

    • @alkaholic4848
      @alkaholic4848 11 місяців тому +1

      Heard of the phrase "a drop in the ocean"? The oceans are incomprehensibly massive so even with all these huge glaciers and ice sheets melting, the effects to the average sea level is only measured in inches.
      But yes there is overwhelming evidence that the sea levels are rising, and it has caused flooding, and it is going up continue getting worse.

  • @davidfuqua3941
    @davidfuqua3941 Рік тому +2

    Oh and by the way Guy, since that ice cap that has grown 4% is up to 3 miles thick with an area that is considerably larger than the lower 48, we are talking about a whole lotta "new" ice, a whole lotta new ice. So the melting thing is just another lie in a long line of climate lies. But you'll just keep lying in the face of facts won't you....
