Irene Manning - beautiful woman and incredibly beautiful singing voice!!! very under-rated film actress, which is a total shame!
See what I wrote about Irene Manning below
Can't get much more dignified than that. GMC was good.
I love "Yankee Doodle Dandy" with James Cagney. The movie captured the spirit of the turn of the century America.
I watched it a few months ago while I was recovering from Covid and I was blown away from how much it holds up
"Always been one of my favorite tunes from a show FULL of beautiful melodies."
Merci Patrick. Its my favourite song from the movie; simple melody but quite delightful. Give me this wonderful old movie and its great songs in place of the crap that passes for musical entertainment these days !
You're f... welcome, mon cher !
My grandmother was named Mary Alice and my mom was Mary Katherine and I have a cousin named Mary and like George M said It's a grand old name
I'm on the train passing through Schenectady and this is running through my head
Always been one of my favorite tunes from a show FULL of beautiful melodies. Harrigan is another with lovely harmony. In my opinion, Warner Brothers ALWAYS had the best music during that golden age of film. Irene Manning had such a beautiful voice. Wonder why we don't hear more about her? Thanks for posting this.
she retired from the industry in the 50's
Damn the fact that there's only 65 likes and 0 dislikes
