normally I don't comment on a lot of videos, but I just had to tell you how helpful and fantastic this tutorial series is. I've never seen someone go so in-depth and be so helpful about everything, as a beginner I can't put into words how motivating finding this series is. You also seem to be the only person to be helpful with the supplies, so thank you for linking everything you use and being specific about it in the description. You're the best and I look forward to your future videos. I also think you have a very fun and inviting energy, and so watching these even without actively building the puppet is a lot of fun!!
Old scissors become new again with Goo Gone. A natural, non-toxic adhesive remover. I use it when my scissors get gunked up with adhesive. One thing, I have sliced my fingers enough times to wear a glove or use thick material to clean a pair of scissors. Also, a diamond paddle set can make any pair of scissors sharper than when purchased.
Thank you so much for your videos! I am really getting into puppetiering and I really want to make some puppets by myself. I definitely enjoy that you show different ways to do the steps (for example: use razor blade or scissors) Keep on going like that!
Green eyes take my vote. Also maybe if there's a nice way of attaching the eyes in such a way that they can rotate as to get variable expressions. I'm not talking about real time adjustments, but just to rotate manually. Sounds simple enough
Yellow eye lids. Good contrast between the green skin and orange hair. Keep em coming. Are you about to start school? Is it going to affect further tutorials?
Fiskars makes non stick scissors as well. I believe they are for cutting tape so they should be fine for cutting the sticky lids after you have them laid down.
I had a customer ask for velcro eyebrows to express different facial expressions. Upon research, someone said they attached magnets to the skull and then magnets on the eyebrows (since velcro will wreck the fabric over time). Do you have any experience with magnets? I was thinking after that why stop with magnetic eyebrows? If the eyes were on magnets as well, theoretically you could turn the eyes to change the expressions? I did try out your blinking mechanism as well and did research a bit on a separate eyebrow mechanism but that looked a bit out of my realm at present as I'm brand new to building puppets.
hey. do you apply the pupils first or the eyelids. in this video the eyes dont have pupils and in the how to make pupils video the eyes dont have eyelids. thanks. love your videos so helpfull
Adam, I know your puppet's eyes has long life but did you ever try to use polystyrene or styrofoam balls for eyes? Does it works? Also would you recommend using mid-cut ping pong ball for eyes?
Having followed your processes, I find only 1 thing missing - guidance on cutting and trimming fur. Trivial as it may sound, it's really important to grooming the look, feel and character of the puppet. Any chance of just a little more knowledge being sent out way? Great work dude!
I want to make oval eyes that are more flat at the bottom and more rounded at the top. How can I make eyes like that and make them symmetrical to each other like as if it was mirrored. I don't think there are spoon in the shape I want
Hi Mikayla, I called the company and had them walk me through how much to purchase. I've been doing fine with one yard/puppet. They're very friendly to talk to. I've purchased from them several times. Here's their contact info: phone 702-767-0338. They're very kind and helpful.
Lol sorry Adam! It's a good riff, just when you watch these all in a row like I've been doing today it gets a bit repetitive. I'd take you up on that but I don't think any of my tunes would suit your videos, and right now I feel more inspired to make a puppet!

Excellent tutorials. We made a little Red Riding Hood based on Small Fry. Thanks, dude.
Awesome! I’d love to see it. Tag me in the pics on Instagram or twitter. @AdamKreutinger
Why didn't I think of using a compass! I always just "eyeballed" it. :P Thanks for that tip!

I’ll be sure to keep this video in mind when I’m ready to try this on one of my homemade puppets!

Do you think you would show us how to make a Dog puppet too?
The green lids make a great contrasting color. I vote green!
Again Greetings from Germany. I was so amazed, to see how simple it could be, to make perfect eyelids! Thank you very much indeed.
Wow this helped a lot, can't wait to see the characters final look
I love how simple these processes are! :) I'll go with the yellow eyelids.
Making eyelids today. Should be exciting :) I hope they turn out like yours.
Wow Amazing. Watching from INDIA
So simple! This is an easy tutorial for anybody!
Green eyes take my vote.

Utterly Brilliant...........

Hey Adam could you explain to me how you attach Ostrich Feathers to a puppet? Kind of like how you did it with your yellow and blue monsters.
Hey can you do a tutorial on giving puppets expression with a still face? Love your vids!
I was waiting for this one and it's great!
Yellow! Takes my vote
Hello Adam, Can you make a video on making eye blink mechanism ?
i was just about to check for a new video!
Yellow eye lids. Good contrast between the green skin and orange hair. Keep em coming. Are you about to start school? Is it going to affect further tutorials?
Thanks for the video
This is great but can you do a video on eyelids to make them go up and down? You know for more expression
Fiskars makes non stick scissors as well. I believe they are for cutting tape so they should be fine for cutting the sticky lids after you have them laid down.
Dark ones for this puppet - if I get very brave I will show you a photo of the puppet I have made following your videos thank you so much.
Awesome easy and simple
You should make a video about mouth features (tounges, teeth, etc.)
notcarsonhill hi! He has a video on teeth and he uses a tongue in his face tutorial! You probably know this but just for clearence

I try to stay away from making anything detachable.
@@PuppetNerd Fair enough; thanks for the reply!
How do you make eyelashes for the female characters?
BigBoomer101 I’d guess use a very stiff felt so they don’t flop over and cut them in small strips then strongly attack them to the eyes!
fake eyelashes from chemist or makeup shop.
Your explanations are so great we are now trying it out too. Now we want to make a man with a long beard. I hope to find out about it
okay but how do you do the eyelids for full size ping pong balls? , i cant find any guides
How do you not have more subs?!
the best loop music I heard, hmmm.
I’m so sorry. It is definitely a regret of mine.
Adam Kreutinger noooooo i like it
Greetings master yoda
Can you make how to make a live hand puppet
hey. do you apply the pupils first or the eyelids. in this video the eyes dont have pupils and in the how to make pupils video the eyes dont have eyelids. thanks. love your videos so helpfull
I always do the eyelids first if I have eyelids. But I don’t always do them.
I have a question will there be a legs video
Could u explain how to attache the hair if we want to use a wig? What size would we have to get for that head? Love your vids!!! ^^
+WIWU: you could attach it however you want. I pin mine in. But you could stitch it. Or glue it. Any wig should fit.
Thanks! ^^
Adam, I know your puppet's eyes has long life but did you ever try to use polystyrene or styrofoam balls for eyes? Does it works? Also would you recommend using mid-cut ping pong ball for eyes?
Those will all work.
Life hack; skip all of this complicated eye stuff by giving your puppet massive bushy eyebrows that "cover the eyes."
Having followed your processes, I find only 1 thing missing - guidance on cutting and trimming fur. Trivial as it may sound, it's really important to grooming the look, feel and character of the puppet. Any chance of just a little more knowledge being sent out way? Great work dude!
Here ya go. ua-cam.com/video/jk-7Rjf_l5w/v-deo.html
My bad, outstanding set of vids by the way! Great work.

i vote Yellow
Yellow eyes would work best with the color scheme
Nice
Definitely the green eyes
I want to make oval eyes that are more flat at the bottom and more rounded at the top. How can I make eyes like that and make them symmetrical to each other like as if it was mirrored. I don't think there are spoon in the shape I want
+BigBoomer101: You might have to sculpt it. The same process should work with the lids.
Adam Kreutinger the problem is that I don't know how I can make them look exactly the same without making one look smaller or different
Can u put eye lids on the ping pong ball (if u cut them in half)
Yep.
Cam you please do another puppet for ebay
I think yellow eyes would work best.
I’m gonna give my moose puppet these eyes
Haha. Cool!
Adam Kreutinger the moose puppet will probably be done by the end of the weekend or something

Hi Mikayla, I called the company and had them walk me through how much to purchase. I've been doing fine with one yard/puppet. They're very friendly to talk to. I've purchased from them several times. Here's their contact info: phone 702-767-0338. They're very kind and helpful.
