What a freaking weird game. Days of Ruin was that one time Intelligent Systems decided to give Advance Wars the same “war is hell” tone that modern Fire Emblem had at the time only in a modern post-apocalyptic setting.
A quick Google search tells me that it costs around $50,000 USD to train an infantryman. If we assume that an infantry unit in this game is literally just ten men, that's $500,000 IRL, $1,500 in game. That means each in game dollar is around $333.34. Excelblem lost around $250,000 in game, so in one battle he lost around $83,000,000. That's not too bad when you consider that an F22 fighter is approximately $120,000,000, lmao.

I love how you only play as Gage once during the campaign. And it's a map where you don't have any bases so getting your CO on the field is more trouble than it's worth... And there are no ranged units and that's the only type that gets his main buff... Ouch. At least Tasha had one map where Bombers were useful.
I found your channel this week and was positively surprised that this game was covered in here! I love Fire Emblem so I already watched a bunch of your compilation videos. Dark Conflict/Days of Ruin is one of my favorite DS games of all time!
I like this game a whole lot. I had it on my ds with my dad. But after cutting ties with him i lost the ds and my game... i recently bought it back and yeah it was expensive but sooo worth it

For those who haven’t played the game, the factories just make the equipment. The soldiers are still flesh and blood, and as such, can still die.
Well... until the end of the game when IDS just makes robo soldiers.
Not sure if that makes things better or worse
@@BinaryHedgehog1 I’m sure that it only applies to IDS and them alone. The rest of the nations pressumably still enlist humans.

Gurren Lagann + Lord of the Flies. Many plot devices are almost 1:1 to Gurren Lagann, it's kinda funny.
