I’d like to point out that according to the credits, any dead unit in this game “vanishes from the pages of history”. So I like to think that not only is Marth sending all these people to their deaths, he’s also unpersoning them and stealing the credit for anything they may have achieved during the war.
@@QueenAleenaFanNamed units are better than your average levy recruit tho. This is like like Charles XII losing all his caroleans but managing to win the Great Northern War.
@@michael_betts All the Advance Wars besides Days of Ruin don't award you points by how many units you got killed, but by what final proportion of units you get killed. Note that I said final proportion, so building new units for no good raisin will boost your rank. Hence if you cleared the map quickly, you can spend a few days churning out infantry and get full marks.
@@maltheopia Which I do do, but getting 300s requires 10% deaths max, and with the 50 unit cap that means a losing a few infantry needlessly kills you attempt at a perfect.

This was scrapped due to either time constraints, technical limitations, or the inconvenience of taking away a unit from the player (which is funny, because Kaga later did that with FE4 and FE5). I guess this is what might’ve happened.
