I believe you Link. I'd actually suggest bringing some food with you, like, a plate of cookies or something as a thank you with a "Haha I didn't expect that but I'm not complaining."
The issue with your sleepover idea is that your planning it at one another's houses, but what needs to happen is y'all need to do it at the vlog house so that you're on neutral ground.
The sleepover take is kind of weirdly hilarious when you put into perspective just how much stuff these two guys do together and for how LONG given the length of their friendship, yet for some reason draw the line at staying over at each other's house to sleep over as adults????? My best friend and I do sleepovers, and she's married and has a 3-year-old! And we don't even have a creative house to do it for a vlog LOL
As a preschool teacher, parachute day still happens for me. (Not often, maybe twice a year, I can confirm) probably due to the fact kids loose their minds.
As an elementary music teacher, we use the parachute all the time and it’s just as fun as an adult as it was when I was young! We play singing games, but I also grab a bunch of balls and throw them up with the parachute. And sometimes we play the shark game where a few kids go under the parachute and drag kids underneath. So fun!
When we had a parachute at school it was always on “Field Day” which was very special and full of outdoor activities. And yes, they would designate two kids to run through and switch sides with each other 😁
I have two friends that i have sleepovers with about once a month, be it separately, never all three in same home, at once. . We are all married, in our 40s & up and make plans to do so. We are also not childhood friends, met in our 30s and completely platonic. It is a time saver, a money saver and we get to spend more time with each other. We also all live in the same city. Sometimes we drink, sometimes we watch tv, maybe go out or just clean each others houses, if we feel that they need that support. We always thought it was unusual but made sense to us.. Two of our husbands thinks its odd but are indifferent to it now.
Sleepovers and staying up all night playing video games was the absolute best. Im almost 40 years old and i miss those days a lot. So much fun. Good friends. You thought it would last forever....

Regarding the sleepover stuff: I think the biggest thing to consider is how close you live to one another. Anymore, adult friends are more often separated by at least some distance. My best friend, for instance, lives a few hours away in another state. Sleepovers are wonderful to us and we generally make a whole trip out of it. Other friends who have lived or do live closer, it's not going to happen often, but even then, it's nice to have the comfort of a friend in the morning or just in your home, especially a long-known friend. That can sometimes have awkwardness, especially if you share a bed with a partner, but I think just the awesomeness of sharing your home with them outweighs that. The scooters were my favorite thing in gym class! We used them on the gym floor, and we'd sometimes use pool noodles to pull each other around, or hook them together and pull multiple people at a time! They made things like that games and competitions!
Link being obviously from the south trying to connect with his neighbor, while the neighbor is definitely a city man who just wants to be left alone and people mind their own buisness. Kind of a riot
I miss the brief time between 11 and maybe 17 years old where you are able to be somewhat innocent, idealistic, hopeful, etc.. Once you see what the world is really like and are more of a cog in that machine, all that goes away. For me anyway. I miss having childhood blinders on. Edit: that's kind of a bleak view, but I'm 34 now and think we badly need a societal change. There's more to life than what we are molded to believe there is. Only speaking for life in the States.
I’m a therapist who works with a number of teens and unfortunately, they are aware of the “cogs in the machine” reality at a much younger age now ☹️ feels like so many kids are losing their innocence and hope before they even get a chance to fully develop it :/
That's exactly what they used in my school decades ago. My friend's Mom was our lunch lady and we asked her how we'd buy that pizza due to it tasting so good. She told us "just go to the supermarket and get a box of Ellio's". She confirmed that that's all it was ... and it only cost 99 cents a box at the time for 6 slices.
Thank you Link for remembering Shirt Tails , because no one else I've talked to about the show does lol....it was one of my favs along with Thunder Cats and Voltron. Ahhhhh, the memories. Gotta love it. 🖤
Was anyone waiting for Stevie to interrupt and say how dangerous it was to lay down in the middle of the road and then realizing this is an ear biscuit episode and there’s no Stevie😂
Oh yeah! I'd forgotten about those awesome parachutes. The after school care I attended through primary school had one. It was so large &, difficult for the staff to fold up & pack away, that it was used once or twice a year. Such fun when you were the one chosen to run underneath & switch places with someone on the other side.
@@zyqxl-jkhv Yeah lol. I remembered when I was a kid, I answered several times that I wanted to be an astronaut. Ridiculous now in hindsight but its what makes childhood fun I guess. Just endless possibilities.
Scooters were for inside days when it was raining (where I went to school) and I'm just a few years younger than y'all. We didn't have a gym in Elementary school.
OMG! My brother and I were not the only ones that went out into the middle of the road at night just looking at the stars. We lived in a small town on a quiet road. It was seriously awesome. 🤗
You HAVE to do sleepovers at each others houses (one where Rhett sleeps over at Links house, and then vice versa). It's practically a future ear biscuits episode waiting to happen!
The library I work at has a parachute that you can checkout. I think a sleepover with a parachute would be a good time. To Much Heaven is one of my favorite Bee Gees' songs.
Those scooters were BRUTAL and we loved them. We absolutely did use them in the gym - I think there was a hole to attach a handle but we would just sit on them and push ourselves around- which led to running over your own fingers multiple times.
My theory is that the 60 year old man is a retired professional baseball player who keeps trying to show that he still has it in him. He thought you knew who he was. My thoughts on strategy - get a big dessert thing for your family. Don't eat all of it. Leave at least 4-5 servings. Bring the rest to your neighbor's house and give it to them joking "I thought it would be better not to throw this."
Love hearing Link gush about the Bee Gees. I still haven't gotten around to watching the documentary myself, but I *love* their music. Glad to hear it's making new fans.
I'm a married adult with a kid and I still have sleepovers. You sleep wherever you get sleepy. Usually a spare room, porch with a couch or living room. I keep a bathroom bag and change of clothes at my close friends homes as well. And they do at mine. Sometimes it's nice to get away. Remind yourself that you are a person not just a spouse and parent!
One time in high school (at my boarding school in the LA area), it was an extremely hot August so our dorms A/C wasn’t working. Because of this several of the upperclassmen were allowed to have a week long sleepover down in the 2 libraries on our campus where there was A/C. This was the closest I got to a sleepover in a long while.
PE teacher here, parachutes evolved from old real parachutes to the rainbow style and the latest versions with holes for points. Weeks of parachute fun! Under, run through, spin on top of (candy Kisses), races around the outside, umbrella/igloo, shark, color change. Everyone loves the parachutes at our school.
It's a bit ironic... Rhett went long hair as a semi self lesson on not worrying about what others think... And I for one have loved it bc I love hairy dudes. But I think the real spiritual lesson involving external judgement would be to be 100% shaven for a month. I would not love him even a tinybit less. Rhett is Rhett. ❤️
In Arizona where I grew up cartoons were everyday - we had a famous kids show that everyone watched - Wallace and Ladmo. It was on the one independent non-network channel. Saturday morning cartoons were for my younger siblings to force me into consciousness after partying Friday night, lol.
My mom and her best friend are 57 and 60 years old and have sleepovers like once a week. And they aren’t single. They even sleep in the same bed and it’s not weird for them at all. Maybe it’s a girl thing. All my friends still have sleepovers.
One of my favorite games in gym class ad a kid involved those scooters. The game was called treasure island. It was basically a four way capture the flag but better. The gym was split into quadrants with four teams- red, yellow, green, and blue. The kids where split into groups and where assigned a color and a quadrant. Each quadrant had two hoopla hoops with the designated color. One was a jail and one was an island. Each island had one of each of four items (a football, a rubber chicken, a ball and, a racket). The goal of the game was to get all of one item (predesignatef to each team) first. You could travel to other teams hoops using scooters, rubber tiles, or running. Once you entered another teams quadrants they could tag you and you would need to go to jail for one minute. A super fun and ruthless game that get even the nerds (myself included) excited to play. Highly recommend any gym teachers to play with their kids.

I’m a therapist who works with a number of teens and unfortunately, they are aware of the “cogs in the machine” reality at a much younger age now ☹️ feels like so many kids are losing their innocence and hope before they even get a chance to fully develop it :/
if you watch this as it comes out in the west coast you have no sleep schedule
Watching this now from Japan. Beating the system! Haha
"You know you're not gonna get rid of your beard."
"OH NO no, I'm not getting rid of my beard!"

I was craving school pizza. My husband introduced me to the brand Ellio's. Very nostalgic, very 'old school' 😊😊😊
link's sleepover getting rejected is sad hahaha
I am ALL IN for the Rhett and Link drunk sleepover vlog.
You guys should go camping together, just the two of you. Film it or not. I think it would be awesome
1 year later they have done it recently
Was anyone waiting for Stevie to interrupt and say how dangerous it was to lay down in the middle of the road and then realizing this is an ear biscuit episode and there’s no Stevie😂
Mythical Channel is a brilliant idea. Love it. Please do it
I had forgotten about the parachute. Did it here, in Canada, when I was quite young at school.
Idea for a show, host a "field day" like elementary schools did, but make it Mythical!
Oh yeah! I'd forgotten about those awesome parachutes. The after school care I attended through primary school had one. It was so large &, difficult for the staff to fold up & pack away, that it was used once or twice a year. Such fun when you were the one chosen to run underneath & switch places with someone on the other side.
That Bee Gee song recommendation sounds amazing! Thank you
I stopped having nostalgia for school pizza when I had the disposable income for good pizza.
Hard to explain it, but I miss the feeling of childhood than the events itself.
@@zyqxl-jkhv Yeah lol. I remembered when I was a kid, I answered several times that I wanted to be an astronaut. Ridiculous now in hindsight but its what makes childhood fun I guess. Just endless possibilities.
Same Forreal
The reason we don’t have sleepovers as adults is because we all have back problems and need our own mattresses!
Hahaha yeah can’t be sleeping on the floor like that anymore
The parachute/umbrella thing in the background of the thumbnail though. 🤩🙌👏👏👏
I love falling asleep to these ngl i love you mythical crew you guys really changed mmy life
Y’all are speaking my love language! This was my childhood! Being 43, I went to school the same years and graduated high school in 1996.
You HAVE to do sleepovers at each others houses (one where Rhett sleeps over at Links house, and then vice versa). It's practically a future ear biscuits episode waiting to happen!
Imagine this: Just two adult best friends having a platonic sleepover at the creative house.
...in the room with the “skyn wallz”...
Absolutely love you guys! Binged so many ear biscuits and there’s still many more to listen to
Smashing your fingers on scooter day. 🤣 And nah, it happened in the gym.
Lmao it’s 6:30 am, now I have something to listen to when I go to sleep
Ear Biscuits is the main thing I look forward to every week lol
my best friend and i are in our mid 20’s and we planned today’s sleep over on monday and we plan one every week! it’s always the best part of my week!
10:51 those people were lame. i would have laughed my ass off lmaooooooo
MYTHICAL CHANNEL!!!!!! YESSSSSS!!!!!!!
Yeah, the audible laugh was noticeable lol so ding dang funny!
47:58 *room is silent*
"Pee pee poo poo"
*laughter for 17 minutes straight*
