  • @Bloodreign137
    @Bloodreign137 3 роки тому +3

    The people who tend to wake up right before their alarm tend to do so for a very interesting reason. It’s because we have a very good internal clock (or most of us) and if before bed you tend to think or get anxious about when you have to get up or visualize waking up at a specific time you will. It doesn’t work for everyone but for the majority of people if before bed you dedicate a chunk or time to think about when you want to get up the next day, along with visualizing your alarm going off or waking up at that time you’ll almost always wake up naturally around when you wanted to wake up. I used to do that all the time in school

    Oddly enough, I can identify with this conversation about peeing, I think link was trying to describe more milking a cow than a snake. Sometimes you have to make sure the hose is clear of liquid so after gravity doesn’t allow what you couldn’t push out come out on its own. To my knowledge it’s usually a problem older men have, middle aged men. I’m 47 and I understand what their talking about. Thanks Rhett and link for discussion real issues that most don’t talk about. One reason I really like this podcast. Thanks for sharing and I appreciate you both sharing and discussing your lives. I only watch through this platform, I’m just not a big technology person and don’t have the time to watch several platforms. I’ll have to check out this podcast through something different to see what it’s like. I don’t know if you even read my comments? I’m sure your both busy enough with your lives and your careers. Thanks again, take care and stay safe and healthy.

    I’ve made the mistake before when buying a different brand of shirt to get a snug fit around the shoulders only for the bottom of my shirt to be just touching my belt so any movement or arm raising caused my stomach to show. Look at the hem. I was taught growing up to never tuck in a polo shirt, t shirt, or a Hawaiian or Cuban shirt. Keep up the good work, Rhett and Link.

      Rhett and Link will still be here after you go to sleep! Have a rest. You clearly deserve it!! If you don't feel that way, your body does at least for sure!! Just rest anyway!

    Audible is my best friend. I listen to between 80 and 170 hours per month. I listen whilst doing housework, driving, walking, caring for my disabled daughter, cooking, etc etc etc. Absolutely addicted. I'm buying credits several times a week 😬

    I often wake up like a minute before my alarm goes off. Also my dog will sometimes wake me up right before alarm as well.

    I stand with Link: forget a tight wristwatch.

    • @fritzhotzonefritz8392
      @fritzhotzonefritz8392 3 роки тому

      I stopped wearing a wristwatch ten years ago because the strap would constantly tug at my arm hair. I don't encounter too many people wearing regular watches anymore. I mainly see people with Fitbits, smart watches, or nothing at all.

    The sleep doctor (JRE episode) said back sleeping isn’t really the best, it’s whatever position you get the best sleep in. If that’s side sleeping, that’s the position for you.

    I often wake up and know my alarm is about to go off. my alarm schedule is extremely inconsisent, but it only happens when I have it set sometime before 7:30. when I was a manager at a coffee shop at had to wake up at 4 am a couple times a week I would consistently wake up RIGHT before my alarm, AWARE that it was about to go off, sometimes knowing exactly what time it was.

    I don’t see audiobooks as lesser, at all. My son has dyslexia & audiobooks have been a big help for him in school. He’s also an auditory & kinesthetic learner so he’s learns best by listening & doing.

    Link, I have the exact same pain in my pinky and went to a pop socket. It helped for awhile, but I still use my pinky in the same way and the pain has now extended to my elbow. You're likely gonna have to alter your phone usage routine and avoid the pinky altogether to avoid this progression. But if anyone can set up a new routine....lol! Best of luck.

    OMG LINK!!! i’m the same with my pinky on my left hand!! i’m left handed i think that’s why but i 100% see an indent in my pinky at that exact spot/ it’s never going away.. and it hurts when my phone rests on it too long. i’m the same way w/ a sling grip! (similar af to pop socket)

    The pill organizer gets me - I do have a lot of meds for medical concerns plus vitamins - I’ve used the big 4 a day pill box’s before that are meant for morning afternoon, evening and night and rearranged for a variety of reasons - from setting 4 weeks of pills at once and ignoring the time labels, or when I’ve had more medicines, using morning and afternoon rows for just my morning pills etc. I find as long as you know your system and stay true to the day on the label it helps
