Emflux One : India's first electric superbike : PowerDrift

- Опубліковано 8 кві 2019
- We got a fleeting glimpse of the Emflux One electric superbike at the 2018 Auto Expo. Now it's time to get up close and personal with it, as we take it for a spin and take a peek into the future.
Oozing technology like TFT display with connectivity, LED lights, traction control, ABS, Ohlins suspension and Brembo brakes, the Emflux One ticks all the right boxes. And then there is the 71 horsepower liquid-cooled electric motor, which makes One capable of hitting 0-100kmph in 3 seconds and a top speed of 200kpmh.
Thanks to lithium-ion technology, it can go 200km on a full charge, and a WARP charger can refuel the batteries to 80% in just 36 min. Sounds too good to be true, doesn't it?

If u r talking about Indian made... Price is too high....
Y dont these guys replace perellies nd ohlins for cost cutting? As considering for indian people ! @powerdriftt #pdarmy
Sir yeh launch kb ho ga aur kitne varitant aaye gay & price bata o

true
0-100kmhr under 3 seconds is just Wow! Good job team.
The designers watched lots of power ranger in their child childhood.
That's exactly what I thought
@@vishnuprassad9984 super sentai not powerranger,it looks like super sentai or og power rangers from Japan, called samurai rangers in india

I dont know why people are complaining about the price. Its a sport bike with amazing performance figures(200kmph top speed, 0-100 in 3-4 secs), by that definition it wont come cheap.
About the range, 200km is decent considering that the popular Zero Sr electric motorcycle from USA has the same range and a higher price.
the zero series has nearly doubled the horsepower.
@@runawayspringroll5288 The emflux has 53kw motor, the zero sr has 52kw motor. The emflux is estimated to be of 6 lakhs, the zero is 10 lakhs in USA. Agreed this has a 10kwh battery and zero has 12.6kwh battery (both nominal capacity) but the price difference is also of 4 lakhs!
This is a very good value for the motorcycle you get considering the competition is with the Zero Sr. The motorcycle you talk about having double power(82kw) is the Zero srf, that is a 15 lakhs(USA) motorcycle, the price makes it a super premium motorcycle.
@@arijit276 👏👏👏👏
such negative comments from the ignorant! India is moving forward. components/functions like brembo brakes, Ohlins suspension, traction control, ABS etc have a significant cost. you should be proud of getting such a bike at such a low price. ofcourse its not for everybody. but dont demean such a wonderful feat by our countrymen. more power to you, team emflux! waiting excitedly for your production model!
It's so satisfying to see support like this for the brand! Thanks Viraj, hopefully we'll get a production bike very soon :)
Indian Guy these kind of bikes are for enthusiasts and are bound to be expensive because of the top notch tech/components used. These arent generally meant for daily commuting. You need to have passion (and ofcourse money) for such bikes. People are commenting that they would rather buy a car for such a price. You cant compare pizzas with french fries. I own a Ninja ZX6R and i get asked these kind of questions a lot. Hard to make people understand that this is a hobby/passion that many people live for. You either have it or you dont. But this doesnt validate people trying to undermine such a wonderful achievement by team emflux.
@Indian Guy bhai baahar videsho me ese bikes 13 14 lakh ki aati hai shukar manao ye 6 lakh hi hai... agar emflux chahe to usa me launch karke easily pesa kama skte hain lekin international launch bhi sabke bas ka bat nhi
@@dev786ish bhai bahar videsho me log hamse 10x zyada bhi to kamate he 😒
You make a bike for the average customer not for your ideal customer. Tata would have sold rebadged land rovers at 1 cr if they wanted to be enthusiastic but they know better
I'd order it from America just to spite all the greedy companies here to prove that you can make things for a relatively low price.
People in this comment section only knows how to criticize sitting behind their screens.. i mean come on 6 lakhs is perfectly reasonable for this kind of bike. Just imagine how much hard work these people have done in those 2.5 years to reach here. How many new things they must have made. You guys on the other hand can't even make a small rectifier on a printed circuit board, forget about the whole electronics, electrical and mechanical engineering they have done on this bike. If you can't appreciate then it's okay but don't say useless words which you have no idea of.
This is way tooo powerful. Believe me guys I've worked on a karting project which used a 4.5KW bldc motor and that thing went 0-100 in less than 10 secs. Just imagine what this 54KW motor is capable of achieving
I think they should have a module which has speakers to mimic the exhaust sound. just like the audi r8. I really appreciate emflux's effort, dedication on build such bike that too in India. managing startups in India is not so easy my friend
That would have been avoided to reduce noise pollution.
I really don't mind 6 lacs for this. I am buying this as soon as this hits the market and I am going to show it off and advertise it to my fellow riders as much as possible. We need to support Indian companies like this more, so that we have more awesome products like these made in our own backyard. Amazing product. I hope you guys make an awesome end product.
Agreed.
Yup for 6 lakhs it is good

😂
This bike is aesthetically pleasing..proud to see our Indian guys coming up with such beautiful designs
It's so exciting!
People complaining about the cost :
It's because of the batteries.Literally everything else have evolved but batteries are just evolving.
Also,A full charge from 0% to 100% shouldn't cost more than ₹70 considering electricity rates and a full charge does 200KM.Name me one motorcycle that can go 200KM with ₹70 worth of Petrol :) This is an entirely new league of efficiency. You save a Shitton of cost in riding.
No oils,no complicated parts.Motor,Battery with Cooling system and Controller and that's it.So maintenance will be much lower and much less frequently.
As a proud Indian,I wholeheartedly support this revolution.I hope the best for Ather,Tork,Emflux,Ultraviolette.etc for their success! You guys are here to push India up!
You also have to consider the cost of replacement of batteries.
Though it will still be much less than gas guzzling superbikes.
@Soham, there's another advantage of Lithium-Ion batteries, you don't have to replace them as often as Lead-Acid ones! So the maintenance cost will be lower as well :)
Salute to the engineers thinking for their country.
This is what we call engineering of the engineers from INDIA
I though you are gonna say 16 Lakhs. 6 is okay for 71 hp. We pay that much for 600 odd cc bike today. Infact, 6 L is pretty impressive with that kind of setup.
I would like to have riding modes on the bike, which will compromise on output for range. Like city/ economy/ balanced etc.. 160 km range is still on shorter aide.
Anything about 300+, and I am in...
Same.I need more range. But yeah,Insane performance and efficiency too.
Modes could be a cool feature, Aamod!
Without riding modes, this electric beast on it's full potential will be hard to tame!!
They might introduce it in the production bike!
Amazing. It's definitely the future and the design is nearly as hot as Sunny Leone 🔥

People really don't appreciate upcoming and in-research technology, this comment section truly shows that.
Brother electric mobility isn't new.... Electric vehicles date back to 1800s which is actually older than fossil fueled vehicles... So creating an electric bike or a car isn't new or upcoming or in research or innovative... They have been there for quiet sometime now.... It's only in the wake of pollution that we started to realize.... You have no idea how advanced IC engines these days are and how tough it is for a company to design an efficient IC engine... That is the reason why annual engine awards are conducted and not annual electric motor awards... A garage in China can manufacture an electric motor..... But a lot of so called big giants are struggling to manufacture an engine... Point is... Look at electric as future and not as innovative... We still employ almost the same design for electric motors which Nikola tesla created a century ago...
Comment section is full of chutiyas who like phat phat instead of something futuristic. No wonder India lags most other countries when it comes to innovation.

I have some positive vibes for this one....looks good, performs good👌 The only downside for all electric bikes is the Range.....it should be at least 300km/full charge....and price should be as low as possible because not many could afford a bike costing more than 5 lakhs.....if we have to bring a revolution for electric bikes these two are the things that should be focused more. At last, i think it would take at least 10 years more to build electric stations across the country for recharging these bikes.... let's see😄

6 lakhs is reasonable for such a bike. Anyway its not for everyone. If you are poor, atleast don't say shit to those who have a rich mind.
Well... F77 is half the price with better specs. So the bike is overpriced
Bikes performance is excellent,
But in looks ,it's look like artificial modified ,it doesn't look like premium bike ,
So Emflux believe me, you have to make bikes more stylish premium look like as example Suzuki Gixxer SF , Yamaha R15 etc,,
We all Indian's are with Revolt, Emflux or Hawk ,, and not with videshi companies like zero or livewire,,
So Emflux all the best,we are with you,,,Jai Hind 🙏🇮🇳,,
Majority of the comments section is filled with people complaining about the price! Guys try to understand here, it's not a commuter bike with an combustion engine, it's an electric super bike for God's sake,
Which anyway costs higher upfront , keeping that aside, Ohlins suspension, brembo brakes, pirelli tyres, these are the world's Best!! , don't compare it with a pulsar!
Even a conventional bike with all these specs wouldn't be able to cost at this low a price anywhere!
Nicely said!
A big applause for Indian Start-ups, hope to see more in future.
This motorcycle is a solid middle finger to every other electric motorcycle in the market. If these can guys can pull it off and deliver the numbers promised at the price point, This motorcycle will dominate the electric market no frickin doubt...
Make India great again!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
While other big named international brands fail to deliver full fledge mid weight sport bike, an underdog hits it spot on, keeping future in check. Tremendous!
Loved to see how Indians are working in India making India proud ❤️🇮🇳
Truly Proud!
Dear rich Indians please invest on these guys .
Wow, so many Indian electric start ups coming up. India was supposed to have its own Standard for Charging points.
Those are some bold promises. Even zero gets 200km range and 200kph top speed for about $21K. Besides, the emflux website only shows a face shield and theres no trace of the motorcycle anywhere. Even the test drive link 404s.
Search for vinay raj somashekar on insta.. Now they have 3 models.. Face shield is there cuz they are in hold because of pandemic
I had conversation with him today only.
So this is what an Automatic Sport Bike would look like!!!
Startup India is Realy working.......Truly made in India....Love you Powerdrift...for sharing this ......You are contrubuting to..Make India Superpower....🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Great to see an Indian Innovation. Proud to an Indian. Great Guys.
What people are forgetting is the strategy that Emflux is going after. That strategy is what Tesla has been doing, i.e. launching with a sports vehicle and then going down the normal vehicles range. They're not looking for HUGE sales numbers, just the recognition and brand Image and the profit margin on each sale
Nice observation!
I think government should make it tax-free so that more and more people can afford it.
It's already working on bringing in more subsidies, Ankit.
You want the government to subsidize rich boy toys?
It's a proud moment for me as an Indian as it is the first electric super bike , loved it ❤️❤️ jai hind 🇮🇳🇮🇳
Truly!
Such a great initiative by the guys at emflux deserves more praise than you have given them in the video. 6 lakh rs is a very good price for a bike with such design, specs, the components used etc. Also, mentioning that the design is similar to that of the KTM makes people think that it is copied from the same which downplays the emflux company. Anyways the video is not that all bad
Thank god

I dont know if i like this bike as there will hardly be any sound coming from the bike which would not let me have that adrenaline rush....a downer for me.Still these guys worked hard to bring something different to the Indian market.
MuZz, maybe that’s where the change is, silent power 😆😆😆 In my honest opinion think that’s the beauty of electric.
everyone complaining about the price being too high when their dream bikes are worth upwards of 15 lakhs keep in mind that this isn't a street bike they don't claim that it even is they clearly marketed a superbike which is reasonable
Besides, such kind of performance and technology will always demand a premium because of the costs involved. Hopefully, we should see more affordable pricing once such tech becomes mainstream :)

A big shout out to those #Engineers who make this thing happen 😻
Awesome. Truly awesome. It's the Generation Y that will keep asking... why not? Why not make a sports bike? They were not afraid to think India NEVER EVER made one. Emflux and Revolt are the top 2 EVs in India.
Add Ather to the list too, it's a great product that is actually available in the market!
That bike is awesome !! And I really love that headlight 😍
Wow, this looks really cool, much better than the Harley's e-bike. Unfortunately most won't be able to afford it in India, they should export these in markets of US and Europe.
Also a standard and affordable version for mass of India is what we are waiting for.
It's not about affordability can't Indians afford 6 lakh cars? Most can but most don't need this bike, I mean whats the use of such a powerful bike for most people some speed enthusiasts would consider it though just like Ninja 400 R3 Harley and Ktms
**DOES IT COME IN BLACK**
If there are enough people looking for a black, they could add that colour.
I want it. Those who are saying it's overpriced don't know how much more maintaince an IC sports bike needs. *Cough cough* blown off RC head gaskets
Can't wait to smoke them r3s and dukes trough starting line.
On the other hand please do include an eco mode with 80kmph limit and around for 250km range
This kind of concept from our own country men is just amazing. What we need to understand is that SI and petrol engines are unsustainable in the long run. Hehe . I think these guys neeed more support, so they could roll out more concepts like this. Why buy tesla when we can make it.
Yup and also tesla is out of budget
Nice work. Greetings from Colombia.
One thing it still lacks- Soul which electric bikes and cars don't have. It may be better than other sports bikes but the sound, the joy of listening and riding can only be done in other not electrics. No offense to electric but the main ingredients such bikes and cars misses is soul. Rest it's a perfect bike.
A small price to pay for a better future, don't you think?
@@powerdriftofficial not a small price but quite big tbh. I mean look at the F1 hybrid era engines. They're great but yet FIA is deciding to make f1 engine sounds better and louder. Recently I saw Geroge Russel- Williams F1 driver interview and he was asked what you miss most about previous f1 and he said sound without any hesitation. It shows that future is too perfect and when some things which are perfect quite sounds boring to me. Just like Audi AWD train. They're too perfect but it lacks enjoyment.
All those who say that the ultraviolet is better, this bike is supposed to compete in the middle weight category and the ohlins suspension itself is gona take a huge chunk of the budget and this bike is no way aimed at the common man
When will this even hit the roads ? Ultraviolette is all set to make the first impression . First impression will always be the best impression. Just like duke 200 back in 2012
Who said it's a basic design it's a master piece man!!
It looks even more magnificent out in the real world!
I hope this company takes off well!!! It will be a super product from India! Way to go, the guys at EMFLUX!
Why all startups looking for sports bike....But india is looking for high range per charge
A Good job finally from Sub continent...😍
There are lot of perks in electric vehicle, low fuel cost, no maintenance required, no engine oil change... can be charged at home..
But 4.7 KWh battery gonna need atleast 4 - 5 hours time at home, installing superchargers in the city can be the challenge though.. but still perfect thing to be owned..👍🏻👍🏻
The transition to electric won't be easy, specially with the infrastructure. But let's hope it happens soon :)
I hate it when the prototype and final product changes drastically....for reference, the original akula 310 and new Apache 310. Will always the miss the growl and roar of an akra or AR😐
Guys 6 lakhs is very cheap for a bike which can hit 100kmph in 3 secs. And more over getting an electric super bike in 6 lakhs only with such a design?!?
Truly a dream!
That's right 200 km range is decent for me. But charge times should be less. Hope they use Gallium Nitride technology and reduce the charge time to half hour for full charge 😉

First of all, There’s a very limited market for Premium Bikes in India.. How many of these premium bike enthusiasts will opt for a Rs 6 Lakh EV (instead of a Ninja for instance) is a big question considering limited range of these EVs and still ‘emerging’ Charging infrastructure..
Honestly, I don’t have much hope unless Government steps up and offers good subsidy making this bike affordable as a secondary bike (with a ‘regular’ Premium bike as a primary bike for touring) !
Agreed, Sathish. However, there are still a few years left before this is launched. Everything could change for good, by then.
PowerDrift : I have been owning EV (Reva and Mahindra E2O) in Bengaluru for the last 10 years, but nothing much has happened with respect to Charging infrastructure.
There have been some recent initiatives from Karnataka government to commission Public charging stations in Bengaluru which is yet to materialize. Needless to mention that I’m having to own another (Petrol) Car for my long distance travel.
Incidentally, I also happen to own a Premium bike (Kawasaki Vulcan S) that cost me more than Rs 7 L. I can use this bike as a daily commuter as well as a Long distance tourer. If I were given an option of buying an EV Bike instead for about the same price, do you think I’d have gone for it ? - Hell No ! Because I couldn’t have used it as a long distance tourer since I don’t think there’ll Charging stations setup between Bengaluru and Mysore/Coorg/Chickmagalur even in the next 5 years !
So, The only option that can get me interested in this Premium Electric bike is if it’s available for, say Rs 2 L so that I can keep my Kawasaki also. A miraculously and ridiculously high government subsidy is the only option for the price to go down to Rs 2L and we all know the odds of this happening!!
