- The OFFICIAL UCL account on X just released this video, and it was surprising. They are officially changing the format of the tournament, and even though this news was announced months ago, I didn't believe it until I saw this video. Safe to say they are some very polar opinions on the matter, so i uncover it all in this video, and if you're you are actually reading this, Subscribe!

Here’s why it’s stupid
Teams don’t need to play more and competitions always work best when the number of teams/competitors is a power of 2 (2,4,8,16,32,64 and so on) it’s purely greed and stupidity which drove this change.
Money is ruining football, and this format might lose viewers. So if i was uefa id just stick with the current format its way simpler
the fact you said about porto playing against big teams in league is bs...since every team gets to play 2 from each pot ... so you dont make sense.
Think about what you wrote and how dumb it was
They face 8/35 of the other teams so there’s a good chance that some team ends up going against 8 of the best 36 teams. Then there’s the possible league knockout so more matches and a higher possibility of facing some of the best teams who were unlucky and ended 9-25, then there’s the round of 16 the quarters the semis and then the finals
That’s a whole lot more matches where they have a higher chance of facing better opponents
exactly thats my point. there is no chance one team gonna play all this team in a league stage .thats what my point is since most of these teams are gonna b in same pot@@Alphoric
@@Alphoric No because the draw for the 8 teams is seeded, so would only include two or three big teams.

Fully agreed. I remember, when Champions League used to have 2 group stages until 2003, before reaching quarter finals. I think that was the best of both worlds. The 2nd group stage alone, there were soooo many exciting games, and at least 1 or 2 groups of death (out of 4). If your team made it to semi-finals, it was an amazing season. Nowadays, its a forgotten experience.
While the current format seems a bit dated, the future one is just bizarre. Brilliant video, and good channel. Subbed ⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽

Great vid bro. I think the game is slowly dying. Nothing wrong with the NBA but European clubs have been wanting the NBA franchise model for a long time. They want a way to guarantee profit even though the beauty of sport and especially football, is that nothing is guaranteed. The avg fan won’t even have enough time or money to attend all these expensive matches and football will slowly become a white elephant sport like cricket. Let’s enjoy it whilst we can cause, the games gone…
It's UEFA's poor attempt at giving the big clubs their super league without UEFA losing their power and money.
Still don’t understand the pots, and the fact that there is a league table with pots being made
We dont care about underdogs or anything its really great and there is nothing wrong with super league its actually better and more exciting we get to see real city barca bayern psg Liverpool inter etc more often
