OMG that speaking exam (I’ve only done the B2 exam by DUO) where like 50 people in the room talk at the same time, so confusing! I even said “f*ck” at the first or second question, cause I didn’t expect that😂 But I passed, so, I think they know it’s overwhelming.
Lovely video. I found writing quite easy for me but i studied a lot for that. My nightmare is speaking which ill have soon. Is just im lost and not really finding as many utube practice exercises as i wished i had (I’ve self studied, no dutch speaking people exposure at all).
Great content and a super helpful video. Would you perhaps consider conducting a seminar for these handy tips, and some Q&A? Alternatively, is there a way to get in touch with you to further get some intel from your experience?
What's funny is I'm actually doing the integration exams in the same order you described them: This week: Reading + Listening Next week: Speaking End June: Writing + Culture
Hi Rashi, your videos are so informative and to the point. I've a question about citizenship: If we want to apply for the citizenship, we have to be in the Netherlands for 5 years. Usually people who come to the Netherlands for work get 5 years of permit. Since we need to apply only after 5 years, we are left with only 2 choice: extend the visa via employer. If the employer isn't willing to do it, then go back to India and wait until we get the citizenship and then come back? I'm confused, how others do this!!
You can apply for citizenship only if your current resident permit is valid. Meaning, if your employer don't want to renew your residence permit (work permit), you will have 3 months of cooling period to find another job (new sponsor). You are not eligible to apply for citizenship if you go back to India and you have no valid permit anymore. Hope that helps.
@@TheLiberal-d3n ah that's helpful. Thank you .. And I've heard that it might take 6 to 8 months or sometimes even 1 year to get citizenship after applying. So we need to have a valid residence permit till we get citizenship. I'm on the verge of losing my job in the Netherlands ( company closing in a few months ). So all kinds of questions are arising now 😬 Thank you very much for your time. 🙏
@@satishb4945 Sorry to know about your concern regarding job. As per IND, at the time of applying for Dutch citizenship you require to have a valid residence permit. But you’re right, it may take 6 months or more sometimes to come the approval. If the permit becomes invalid within that 6 months, the IND will get notification already and then they may not proceed with application further.
Nice video, i have passed all my tests too, but I have not received my diploma yet. How long does it normally take to wait for the diploma after passing all the exams?
I work for myself now but when I moved here in 2015 I had Dutch company job and full time - can past job count or should I apply a part time job just to exempt ONA? I am Brit married to Dutch and prior 2022. I will continue to be self employed here so how does that work ONA? Thanks :)
Hey Rashi, Thank you so much for the explanation. However, I have one doubt because I arrived first in NL in August 2019 and then I left in Feb 2021 and came back again in May 2022 so I am not sure if I need to take A2 or B1. Do you know or somewhere I can look up ?
Hi Rashi, thanks for your awesome tips! I had a question regarding the exams. While registering for the exam on the Inburgering website, it doesn’t let you choose which level of the exam you would take. For example , I arrived in May 2021, so for me the exam level is still A2. How do I know while I register for the exam that I’m registering for A2 level and not B1 level?
Thank you! Very informative! I have a small question. I also arrived in the Netherlands in 2019 but had not started the exams back then. If I register now does a2 level still apply to me?
Hi Rashi, I passed all the 5 dutch exams and I have been working in NL for more than a year full time so i just applied for exemption from ONA but I’m wondering how long did it take to get the exemption? Hoping to get it asap and get the diploma😅
just only reading exam is easy the other one's is so hard you must give your 2 or 3 hours minimum in a day about it and listen tooo much things for listenin exam because %75 of the examiners taking the listening exam again
Hi Rashi, I arrived in the Netherland in Feb 2023, but when I'm registering for my exams I'm getting registered for A2. How do I confirm if I have to give A2 or B1 level. how my exam level is at A2 because I'm not on HSM visa, I'm dependent. Can you please let me know what should i do?
For people who are are on HSM visa they are not mandatorily obliged to integrate and will still fall under A2. B1 is applicable only for the immigrants who are obliged to integrate. They will be notified via DUO about the exact time period before which they need to integrate.
How long did it take to get the result? Aside from the 8 weeks they mention (so more your experience). How long did it take you to get the result for each test?
How long did it take you to get the passport from application to getting passport? Also how long did it take to get the inburgering exams result and certificate?
1 year from application to receiving the passport. Inburgering exam results in around 1 month (really depends on the municipality and how busy it is) and certificate 1-3 months after you pass eveeything
Language level depends on your residential status after 2022. If it is not mandatory for you to integrate (e.g. Highly Skilled Migrant), it remains A2 for you. For whom it is mandatory to integrate (asylum seekers, dependent) need to pass B1.
Amazing video, good tips and plans. Quick question : How long would you think self study would need if I already have my A1 certificate from language school? My inburgering route falls under 2013 act which I need to do A2. Also, I have been living in netherlands for almost 6 years. 😃
I loved this video! It's exactly what I needed. Thank youuuuuu

Rashi thank you for this informative video.
Could you please clarify regarding fines (5:16) do you mean for late registration on the exam? Right
The fine is if you have to integrate within a certain time and you don’t complete it within the date stated by DUO
Thanks for giving information i have question i arrived in 2021 of August and then i talk with IND they told me you have to take b1 exam.

Around 1 month for each exam, but it was Covid at that time so it was perhaps different back then

Yes, the level she is mentioning in this video is not totally correct.
