Well this is what happens when you dumb down a franchise to appeal to the masses, people who don't understand the lore or paid attention to the films think they are experts on the franchise. They are fun to get into debates with, especially when it comes to who is a Mary Sue or not, or what happened in a particular film.
@@haveidonethisbeforeHarrison Ford doesn’t hate star wars, that is a misconception. It's not that he particularly dislikes his role of Han Solo, it's the fact that is the only thing people know him for. Lucas didn’t go for it. So, Ford has specific memories over the reached hope for the character, that was denied. Then again when filming was complete on The Force Awakens, Ford told JJ Abrams that he was pleased with where the sequel trilogy had taken Han. So he got his hope in the end for his character even if it was forty years later.

"There is no good or evil in Star wars" is this man smoking Crack!? The main theme of the original trilogy is literally Light Side vs Dark side! Good vs Evil and the strength not to give in to reckless anger and evil!
prequel and comics literally destroyed the whole good and evil thing. The jedi can be terrible as the sith. Look at the state of coruscant before and after the clone wars. Palpatine was also initially portrayed in the comics an imperial bureaucrat rather than a tyrannic authoritarian and he kept Darth Vader from using his weapons as a solution every time, instead wanting to solve things politically. The theme fits the original more.
Sometimes there is sometimes there isn't. Palpatine is an eveil character without a doubt. Same with Cad Bane. Could we call Boba Fett an evil character though? And what about Luke? He committed a mass genocide by destroying the Death Star. That's more than Grievous or Dooku which were considered to be war criminals. And how about Thrawn? Some people can say that he's a villian because he serves the facist Empire. I can say that he's a patriot who loves he's people and is willing to die for them. He safed children many times.
Clone Wars season 7 was good. Respawns Jedi games were good. Andor was good. Rogue One was good. Thats about it though. Everything else has been pretty bad

Ah yes, I vividly remember Anakin killing the Death Star. It’s a good thing Captain Spock was back him up at the last second against Lord Sauron, otherwise they would’ve been in reeeeeal trouble.
Even if we overlook him not knowing shit about the movies what kind of argument is that the death star was about to eredicate an entire planet of course they defended themselves its like a guy walking into ur living room pulls out a gun and is about to start killing ur entire familiy so u grab a kitchen knife and stab him and then this clown comes around and tells u how there is no good or bad person here since u too resorted to violence
Thats exactly the point. I always found the "But there were people on the Deathstar!" argument weird, or lets say: people who really used that as an argument against Luke scared me. So the people on the Deathstar erradicated species like the Genoshans, enslaved other species and destroyed 4 planets already when Luke finally blew it up. At which point it becomes morally "ok" to take out that thing? Only after the tenth destroyed planet? Sure, Stormtroopers were conscripted or fresh from the academy, but if you don't desert after you see that your boss goes around and blows up whole planets, even your home planet, then its on you. There are enough examples in the EU of imperials deserting as soon as they learned from Alderaan (i.e. Tycho Celchu, cool guy, one of my favorite Rogue Squadron members), so there are no excuses. These Disney people are still trying to character assassinate Luke, trying to tarnish everything he has done.
Well, Anakin was there. He didn't blow up the death star, but can't say he wasn't there. Although i'm more laughing that "There is no good and evil, it's just where you're standing." But that's keeping in mind that the person pulling them back was either a direct family member or lover. Or in someone like Revan's case, a complete mind wipe, and binding him to another Jedi. While Darth Vectivus had both a moral code and strict self discipline, so while Ruthless never quite went into the pure evil that other Sith lords would follow. Janitors on the Death Star who just wanted to feed their families were killed. No everyone from the Death Star personel was a freak like Tarkin. Luke didn't care a killed them all. Even Grievous who is considered to be a war criminal haven't killed so many people at once.
@@deadmeme8011 I take it hollyclown must have meant the Death Star was a legitimate military target. It's an artificial structure made by a military, principally for a armed violent purpose. That's like sinking an aircraft carrier.

They even made a movie about Cruella to try and get an audience to sympathize with the character when in Dalmations she was a raving lunatic that wanted to use the skins of puppies to make a coat. And who could forget Maleficient where the whole reason she's apparently evil is because a man stole her wings.
Maleficent did start that trend, but at least the way it was brought up was interesting. "The Legend you know is wrong" is always a pretty good trope. The rest though? Definitely feels like "stop judging these morally bankrupt monsters good for jail and asylum!"
Proton Torpedos cant destroy thermal reactors. If we look properly the death star, had a flag of smoke before the rebels were even close to their target. People forget about the much concealed hologram of Saw Gerrera and Tarkin shaking hands. The empire needed Kyber from Yavin so they looked for a legit reason for a direct troop transfer to Yavin.

How to hire writers or actors for a Disney franchise:
1) Ask for applications
2) Sort by DEI score
3) Convince people at the top they like Star Wars
You got step 3 wrong. They tell them it's a plus and great they don't like the franchise, or don't know it.
4) call the audience racists , sexists homophobic if they dont like it

Okay, let's just ignore that he doesn't know the difference between Luke and Anakin. His point was still really stupid. Yeah, he destroyed a military weapon system used to destroy planets full of innocent people, killing only military targets. How is that evil?
Little did you know, it was bring your daughter to work day that day. 😭
@@Balderdash1000 Oh shit. Were the daughters evil though? Be honest.
@@sihTdaeRtnaCuoY I mean, a bunch of screaming little brats running around everywhere and getting into everything... You decide. 😏
That was about to destroy another planet with Rebellion...
@@Balderdash1000 Vader certainly did...
"but who gives a damn anymore"
Exactly this
**Cries of a fan for 20+ years intensifies**
That's me. I'm that fan who gave a damn 😭
Any actual Star Wars fan who actual consume the material and not spout Anakin destroyed the death star
It's been cooked since the sequels. Now its microwaved
I heard Andor was amazing
@@nerdgeekman Mandalorian was good until season 3.
I noticed the woman on the right giving him the 'shut up now' signal.
Luke Skywalker: There is still good in him.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: He's more machine now than man, twisted and evil.
Yeah, it's definitely about good vs evil, guy.
In this instant Luke was correct and "good", while Kenobi was "evil" for disregarding the "goodness" in someone.
Officially cooked? It was already cook after Lucas sold his franchise to Disney amd now its start to turn burned black ash today
The prequels sucked anyways, it’s been dead for a super long time.
@@Nyakomata The second and third i liked. But the first one i watched was the phantom menace. And i never watched any other after that until 2009 or 10 or something?
@@NyakomataYou deserve Disney Star Wars.
As a Korean, the way they presented Lee Jung-jae was just awful. Most Koreans really don’t like it. I doubt the writer of The Acolyte has seen anything Lee Jung-jae's been in other than Squid Game. I don't know what Disney is thinking-do they really believe that just shoving in an Asian actor will boost their revenue in Asia because it's the same race? This is gonna flop, I guarantee it. Look at The Marvels, which also had a famous Korean actor, and it had the lowest performance in Korea's history. Disney's way of showcasing Korean actors is honestly pathetic.
I feel like these so-called DEI-focused groups in America actually disrespect and look down on other countries' races and cultures even more
That's sort of the in joke here in America about the left. They call anyone right of alt-left a racist, but by word and deed, they present as incredibly racist and discriminatory.
They are just racist, but calling it inclusion
Squid game was a fun one time watch, but it wasnt anything spectacular. Train to Busan is though,.. but theyll most likely butcher the english adaptation.
"You must realize, you are doomed."

Not only was in luke who "killed" the death star. But saying "Darth vader isn't so bad, look at Anakin when he killed ton of people" like.. My god, he didn't just shoot himself in the foot he went full auto

"Well anakin juth kilt the whole deth thar!" *does sassy finger snap*
