IN addition to the fact that the man who "ain't got no family" was going home to a gorgeous model every night, they say "a long career is not expected" but he lasted a lot longer than most.
This was before he was famous and had a model wife. The line "a long career is not expected" is actually really sad. He lasted longer than Brian Pillman.
@@sandyunderpants4376he met his wife in 1990, he'd joined WCW for a brief 6 month run in 89 but this theme is from his second run in 92, the same year he married her
This theme is still a banger. I miss themes like this that have lyrics written about the wrestler themselves. I think the only current one that has that kind of theme is Kenny Omega. Ciampa, Gargano and The Miz all have themes with lyrics but they're more general platitudes than specific references to the wrestler they represent.
I wonder if Mick Foley had some input to this theme. I say this because Mick has said he was a huge Frank Zappa fan... and the guy doing the vocals in this song is trying his hardest to sound like mid 70's Zappa, and does a pretty decent job of it.
He talked about it in his first book, he actually didn't like it. Especially the lines "he ain't got no family" and "He's Cactus Jack or better known as Mr Bang Bang"
For those who do research like, it is a shame to find out the name Cactus Jack was not original. It was the nickname of former Texas-bred Vice President John Nance Garner, who even gave an epic "Bang Bang" gun-wielding photo pose with Harry Truman.
Because they actually don't own it, in fact they were sued for including these songs on dvd, so at first they weren't in the Network ppvs but WWE reached a settlement with the label or company whatever and restored the ppvs with these themes.
Seems that someone in the office was a big Megadeth fan, between this (the opening riff of Skin O My Teeth) and Maxx Payne doing a few lines of Sweating Bullets in a promo. So of course six years later when they show up on Nitro, it was the totally craptacular Crush Em. Ah WCW, my weekly running gag up until spring 2001.........................
Actually it didn't they used it to dub over Welcome to the Jungle which was his actual theme, almost all ecw themes have to be dubbed over now cause they used real songs that cost a lot of money.
Simpsons love to screw with the wrestling world. I have once again come across the episode where Homer visited the bar which had brawling on a regular basis, and which even aired around the time of the Cactus Jack theme music change. "Broken bones on a country floor are really more his thing" would definitely describe the country bar where Homer met Lurleen Lumpkin. Homer even maintained his love of football and wrestling in a recent Treehouse of Horror. The Simpsons will always screw with the wrestling world, regardless of what promotion it may be.
"And look at Mr. Bang Bang, UNBELIEVABLE!!!" Still remember that MSG '97 callback from JR.

Foley is a high IQ person
Its almost as if the song is about a fictional character. Nice deduction, genius. 🙄

Who is Cactus Jack? I've only ever known him as Mr. Bang Bang.
Man, the lyrics make this song! Nothing like Early 90's WCW!
I loved when he came back that day in Madison Square Garden and freaked Triple H out when Dude Love and Mankind introduced him.
I was there for that 1st Raw in MSG.
He didn’t come out to it in msg. They dubbed it in replays after buying wcw
Cactus jack? Somebody spank me, I thought he was dead!
@@paulie9483 He's alive... HE'S ALIVE!

Fatal Four Way Hell In A Cell Match: Dude Love vs. Mankind vs. Cactus Jack vs. Mick Foley
YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!
would pay good money to see that.
I don't think mick counts though
+KillMaster War Boy (killmaster4710) He has wrestled as Mick Foley before though. even in the fed too. I think his Edge WM match was Mick Foley
He wrestled as Mick Foley in the Fatal Four Way at WrestleMania 16 in 2000 as well .
They could do a cinematic match with that concept.
Mr. King of The Deathmatch himself, Cactus Jack! BANG BANG!
42 years later and this song still fires me right the F up.
This song is maybe 30 years best came out 1992/93
Imagine commenting this thinking this song came out in 1980.
yo without lyrics, thus song would totally be badass!!
the lyrics worked!

this whole damn album is so 90s it hurts
But in a good way
This song is inspired by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Nothing 90’s about it.

I was gonna say this same thing. The verses sound exactly like Zappa singing some nonsense about Cactus.

Why tho
@@Chugga0921 Cause for some reason WWE Didnt have the rights to his original theme i have no idea why
WWF/WWE used this theme at some point at least once right?
The intro makes me think of the Brawl For All theme, just before it loops. Guess Jim Johnston was a bit inspired by Mr Bang Bang.

Who did the song? Jimmy Papa?
He's not on a team (except from DDP)
I'm guessing you bought the hof showcase and you just found that out?
He was on a team back when he was in WCCW which was World Class Championship Wrestling he was in Devastation Incorporated managed by Skandor Akbar
