I find it funny that right after this came out, he was gone from WCW, which is too bad because had he stayed i think he could have made a good partner for Vader and kept up the feud he had with Sting
Nope. He used what became the Hollywood Blondes theme at Havoc 1992, and then was gone. Check out Because WCW on Podbean for some in-depth insight into some of the crazier times and decisions of the WCW era.
@@carl5381 exactly. Mick Foley, Kane, Undertaker, Triple H, Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrero, and Stone Cold - all former WWE champions worked for WCW at one point
Jake was in WCW for like 2 months before he got fired for his well known personal problems. So the fact that they got a PPV main event out of him in that small window is a miracle.
This is 80s type style music brought into the 90s...
...and I just FUCKING love EVERY minute of it! 🍺😎👍
The chorus sounds like the opening to a low budget 1986 slasher film and I love it for that.

This song rocked!! Loved it!!
I know Jake had a drinking problem back in the day, but was the guy who made this song drunk?

Slam Jam was a big ball of cheese lol

... and I'm STILL waiting for part 2! 🍺😎👍

Great Song for Great Wrestler - Jake the nsake robertes
This is such a great theme. Why didn't WCW use this theme for Jake Roberts?
Because it sucks and it doesn't fit his character at all
@@hokemoseley2934 also he left the company
He probably heard this song and decided to bolt lol
I think he got fired before they finished writing this song.
Bill Watts running the company. I think they had issues from mid south
"Josie's on a vacation far away..."
This music is awesome. Why didn’t Tony buy the rights to this? Hard to imagine WWE owns the rights to Slam Jam 1
When you're at a cashinnno, you shuuuld gambuhl!
MoonerFury if you wanna play blackjack, I got those. Wanna play 21,i got those too. Wanna play aces and eights, I got plenty of those too.
Why does this sound like the guy sings "Steinerized"? No I'm not making this shit up, it's the same singer.
Did he get inducted into the Rock n Roll HoF yet?
Sounds almost like Dangerous Toys.
Let's not kid ourselves; this song slaps harder than Lizzo's butcheek.
Something to Wrestle With brought me here.
Hi not Van Halen.
I think it's the same guy who sings "Steinerized"
@@aboundingvampirekiller2048 Yep definitely the same guy
Did Jake ever actually use this?

No. He was gone while this Album was in production and this song was already done. Had he stayed he would have.
@@davidford3968 If he had stay in WCW for another year, he would have use it when he turn face.
No. But if Bill Watts wasn't running WCW and Jake had stayed, then this would've been a good theme for his heel run.
Who was the most poorly utilized talent in WCW? Jake Roberts or Bret Hart?
you could make an argument for 90% of the talent that ever worked there.
Bret was a two time WCW World Champion and four time U.S. Champion, so definitely Jake.

It slaps. But it just doesn't fit his vibe at all. I can see why he never used it.
