Ahhhh, DUNE! The Old Testament of Sci-Fi, if you will!! I have read all the books except a few of the super-new ones. (I stopped midway through Mentats Of Dune.) Nothing like an epic saga that we can all sink our chrysknives into!

Creatures that navigate by folding space... travel without moving... that makes me thing the highliners are more like contraptions that are vessles of a space that distort the internal space by using gravitational lensing I guess. I wonder if there is an FX of this? The recent film High liner reminds me of the nose of Brian Griffin, which always looks like a 'hole'. but is the 'bubble' of the lensing of the event horizon.
