I have a 787 seadoo challenger 1800. how many clicks should the red cap be? I marked mine before I moved it. counted 6 clicks on the right engine and 7 on the other. ???
Great video! I found the pin hole leak where the metal clamp made a hole. If a buy a new rubber boot it should stop the leak? And I have a 951 so I will screw the red “screw” on top flush then unscrew 2 clicks. My black cap that’s held with the clamp seems a little loose is there a way to make it so it’s nice and tight?
Thank you. Replace that bellow and you will be good. When screwing in the piston into the piston cap, push down on the cap because that piston will cross thread if you don’t. Don’t know why that spring would be loose for you. If it is seated and not moving you should be good.
Yes, it can only improve cooling and reliability. At some point in 97, BRP required these washers to be installed before leaving the factory. They didn’t want customers loosening them which would lead to engine overheating.
I have a 98 gtx rfi. Ever since owning it has an issue when running on the hose it floods the water box completely when the hose pressure is up more than a trickle. Have you heard of thus
What are the symptoms of a bad regulator valve? I just got an 05 GTI and I can't hit the powerband without jumping a wave and getting the load off the impeller for a split second.
Thanks for the question. First off, your 05 GTI does not have this cooling valve as it is a different engine. But... Symptoms include not reaching top speed/peak RPMs, running rough, overheating exhaust hoses, too hot to touch exhaust pipe. If there is a blockage in the cooling system, use an air compression to blow out the blockage. If it’s just leaking, you need to dismantle this device and replace any broken parts. If you aren't reaching high speed, you may want to look at cleaning and rebuilding your carbs... very least verify that you are running the correct main jet size. Thanks for watching!
@@2-smoke thanks! I did a few googles and found that this doesn't match mine also. Pulled the carb, raised the pop off to spec and checked that it was holding all the proper pressures. The jet was next on my list, how would I look that up? Also, I found some forum threads where multiple people had the same dilemma, they went up and down the carb troubleshooting and never found their solution. Could it be something else, like the jet pump? Still learning.
@@2-smoke if the carb was thrown on it to sell the pwc and was set to 25 psi, does that mean it has the wrong needle and seat or jetting also? Best way to research that? Sorry for hijacking your video slightly, but you have a wealth of knowledge!
@@robkellerman4666 If your wear ring is on the Fritz it could be the cause. As for carbs, you need to dig in them and pull out the jets to see what you have. Google search seadoo carb reference to view your specifications.
I was told by some dude not to ever take that water regulator valve off, what could break if I do that, is there any real danger from me taking that off
The valve just screws off, and then you follow the steps in the video. People who don’t understand the purpose of it and the anatomy of the device will tell you not to touch it… but guess what, those bellows west out and leak and need to be replaced. Thanks for watching!
Доброй ночи,может ли менятся звук выхлопа на более басистый?если мембрана порвана?немогу найти откуда берет воду корпус,все проверил.

Isn't the 518 going to get mixed in with the grease when those first threads that get coated with grease get to it?
Just replaced the bellows on my 97 gsx and noticed there wasn't a washer. Think I should put some in?

1997 Seadoo GTX 787
What should the red cap be adjusted to?
The adjustment directions are in the video description.

Good idea to file down the zip tie edges. You don’t want a solution to one issue also create a new issue.
Thank you!
Is the music really needed for this?
