I appreciate so much your willingness to share your pricing for projects. With the lack of available artists doing repairs & making stained glass, it's very hard to know how to price your work, and too....for what the market will bear. I always struggle with this. Would love a video more in depth on this topic sometime. There's always so much to learn! Beautiful repair, beautiful work as always! Thanks, Kristy🤗

    Hello from Belgium.
I saw your video and it was very usefull to me.
I am alone with my glass because my teachers are ill and I probably have to carry on all by myself. Just seen a little bit. I am 67 and its become my passion. Thank you

We have many videos that cover everything we do with stained glass, go to our channel and click on the all videos playlist and you can easily watch them all, skipping over the less interesting ones.

I’ve been a stained-glass hobbyist for over 20 years. I don’t get to work on my pieces often, so my skill level is slightly above a novice. I am so pleased to find your videos. This is a game changer for me. Years ago, I made a ~1’ x 3’ window for my son and daughter-in-law. The cat recently knocked it off the shelf and several pieces broke. My answer to them was, “Throw it away, I’ll start from scratch." They couldn’t bring themselves to toss it, so I brought it home to see what I could do.
I started out trying to solder the pieces apart so I could recut, replace and then put it back together. After an afternoon, giving that a go, I was convinced this wouldn’t work. I wish I started with your video first. What a difference! Thanks for the demo.

Sometimes it makes sense to start over fresh depending on the damage. I had one panel that we severely damaged that I should have rebuilt, but I didn't have the pattern to work with..it took two weeks to build the original and three weeks to fix it. ua-cam.com/video/CT2RfRC0Uu4/v-deo.html 😀❤😀

Thank you so much for all of your valuable skills and willingness that you and your wife share. I agree with you that repairing is my least favorite part of doing stained glass. A lot of people who have never done glass work thinks it is so expensive but it is so much work and time.

And, if they got a piece of glass from a freight damage auction site, they think you're ripping them off because they paid less for the entire item than for the cost of the repair. Sorry, but we can't afford to work for $2 a day in our economy.

Excellent tutorial. Quick question: can I do the final steps of the cleaning and other things you did to this one with my old stained glass window? It seems much more fragile than this solid one. thanks

Only you can be the judge, it'll probably work for you.

Really appreciate hearing about pricing involved with stained glass. I have my girlfriend's friend who wants me to do a very large window in her house now after seeing a 20" x 48" window. I have no idea how much to charge her and I really don't know if I could even pull something like that off. Will probably just tell her to talk to some professionals to have the work done. Or what would you guys think would be a good way to get out of something like that?

We charge $190 per square foot on custom windows we build for clients. Glass costs have risen over double in the last three years. We are suffering "Future Shock" over the costs of materials in windows. 😁😁😁
