Thanks again for posting such westerns I must add that I give The Forsaken Westerns five stars, not because forsaken westerns are shown, but for the quality of them. He seems to make an attempt to pick only good apples.
I don't think I could ever pick which one is my favorite ,thank you Bob for helping me with one of my favorite pastimes, I think goodness for men like you and the shows like this one Pardner ,I will feel that way and watch them with my boots up, till the cows come home.
No hard feelins' gents? --No, no hard feelins'. -- I reckon that the way it should be. 😃😃 You see? What a difference in messages in those days to the viewer! Said volumes in three sentences!! Amen! 🙏
Another good one..thank you..! I must say that I have not been a real big fan of Quinn over the years and I cannot say exactly why, either, but I was elated to see him play this part so believably well. Well done, Mr. Quinn ( even though it's over 1/2 Century later..LOL..!)
Yes, the script is GREAT! Excellent performances throughtout. Very enjoyable, I missed see this when I was a kid, but of course, I was only 6 years old at the time! 🙂 I'm at most maybe 4 years older than the young boy here. Ha!
I tried most of the way through to figure out how real justice could be served and at the same time the dignity of the Ranger and the Texas Ranger service. Excellent story, both ends accomplished.
I loved the old westerns when i was a kid and i still do. But since I've gotten older and learned more about history i just wish they had used period correct weapons
I agree. It seems like every weapon in TV and movie Westerns is an 1873 Colt, regardless of the era. I believe an 1858 Remington or an 1851 Colt would have work well in this episode.
@alking4153 My mom told me about going to the movies and seeing "King Kong". That was 1933 and mom was 16 years old. She said that movie scared her!!! Good show here --- Anthony Quinn, Robert Armstrong and I recognized Hugh Sanders. I've seen Sanders in many TV westerns and movies.
This was an episode shown live of Schlitz Playhouse and not a filmed or taped episode. Since this is the case I wonder whether you have an episode of Kraft Theatre entitled One Hill one river shown in 1955. it takes place at the end of the civil war and is this a western of sorts.
Yes. Thanks for watching. There are 29 episodes of The Forsaken Westerns on our channel in the first season. Season 2 on our channel is scheduled to begin March 2 of 2018.
WesternsOnTheWeb , That you for your response... I want to let you know what a wonderful Service you are offering Us, in this world full of doom and gloom, hate and perversion, it refreshing to find shows that are Moral, filled with people that have Integrity, and Common Sense..... Oh How I Miss COMMON SENSE....
Paladin jumped around the West in no time, but these guys are taking 6 months to get from Texas to Oregon. I wonder how long it did take. Pretty hard to believe this plot. Zorba makes a pretty good cowboy. I wonder if he got killed in the War...
Almost 2000 miles from Texas to near Portland Oregon by horseback, camping along the way, I don't think so. And then let's say he did a quick turnaround and took the prisoner back to Texas using the same horse .... ridiculous.
the tobacco in these westerns must be as dry as a bone, they just shake them out. hardly a good smoke, hot bits dropping into your lap, and hot smoke at the back of your mouth
This is an excellent story and Anthony Quinn played his character well.
The script is flat out GREAT, and Anthony Quinn delivers an Oscar winning performance. Truly impressive all the way around.
Anthony Quinn an excellent actor. This episode is a b & w gem. Thanks 🙏 for posting
Thanks again for posting such westerns

Man they had great actors back in the day , thats why love those old classics. 👍❤️
Anthony Quinn is such a phenomenal actor! A great series, thanks for posting!
This is an awesome story.... made me cry....those men were so dedicated and loyal and lonely.
I've always Loved Anthony Quinn, what a wonderful Treat to find this treasure....

That was awesome

Well over a 1/2 century now.
The series name is actually Schlitz Playhouse (1951-1959) and this episode aired November 19, 1954. Very good episode.
Just wish the Forsaken Westerns could go on for ever.
Yup .they were good.
Yes, the script is GREAT! Excellent performances throughtout. Very enjoyable, I missed see this when I was a kid, but of course, I was only 6 years old at the time! 🙂 I'm at most maybe 4 years older than the young boy here. Ha!
GREAT MOVIE MR. PERRY, THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS.
Great show, thank you for posting this. If this was 1956, he would have only been 41. He must have been born looking like he was an old codger
I tried most of the way through to figure out how real justice could be served and at the same time the dignity of the Ranger and the Texas Ranger service. Excellent story, both ends accomplished.
Actually, they could have decided to legally fight the extradition order. But that's all real world stuff.
Great episode!!!!
That was a great show!! Thank you!! 🙏
Thank you Mr. Terry.
Most excellent. Many thanks.
Thanks for uploading! Great to have new stuff here since I've seen almost all Forsaken Westerns videos already.
Thanks Bob, for another great upload. Enjoyed it very much.
Anthony Quinn was great in this. Plays a cowboy very well.
Good show 👏 👍
Real cowboy talk I love it.............Anthony Quinn ten-plus children. the women must love that cowboy talk.
thanks for posting
The Farmer's Daughter is a keeper ☺️
these ol westerns mean so much. yep, between a rock and a hard place...👍👍
Wow! Anthony Quinn! Saw him live in Philly in Zorba the Greek. And, Anthony Quinn was Mexican descent, but it was not played up.
Anthony Quinn, a superb actor.☺
They should replay all the old westerns at a permanent time slot on a free to air channel every day of every week.
⚖️🇺🇸😎
Good show
love them

I always like how they use weapons from the future in these old westerns.
Anthony Quinn was awesome. He reminded me of a Louie L' Amour character
only Quinn's character was before L' Amour
Anthony Q was one of the best Navarone comes to mind name this Western quote "I killed 45men tonight I am gonna run up the score" Warlock 😎
Unique and good too
Very good short movie, But with Quinn of course it's gonna be very good.
Robert Armstrong ,who can remember King Kong he was a great actor and star ,Gee it's almost 100 year's ago .
Just thinking about how things were truly handled in real life during that time.
When the kid gets on Anthony's knee at 7:10 he never looks at him but instead at his real mommy, director and the camera!
You can tell there are parts where he actually subdues his voice so as not to scare the kid lol, love it!
The theme at the end of the movie became the theme for Jeff's Collie. (Lassie)

Yep, don't make them like they use to 🙂
God bless Bob Terry!
ANTHONY QUINN, A GREAT LATINO ACTOR ALONG WITH RICARDO MONTALBAN AND GREAT CHARACTER ACTOR JUAO HERNANDEZ.
ARE THERE ANY MORE EPISODES???
Yes. Thanks for watching. There are 29 episodes of The Forsaken Westerns on our channel in the first season. Season 2 on our channel is scheduled to begin March 2 of 2018.

I'll second that!! That's _exactly_ the way I feel. Good comment!
Yes, Roy Rogers for POTUS.
Bob Terry how did you get your name on IMDAb..............
EMMY AWARD..I SAY QUIN THE MASTER DRAMMATIST😂😂
those wooden floors on outdoor sets ruin it a bit, the horses should wear padded slippers lol
Del-Rio Rebut🤗
Muito bom

It's 1861. Pre-Civil War. No railroads yet. Paladin came 20 years later, after the railroads got there
Almost 2000 miles from Texas to near Portland Oregon by horseback, camping along the way, I don't think so. And then let's say he did a quick turnaround and took the prisoner back to Texas using the same horse .... ridiculous.
A young and handsome Anthony Quinn. He was as nutty as a jaybird in his personal life--especially when it came to chasing women as a married man.
Anthony Q - they don't make actors like that anymore.
i would've go to Arizona or New Mexico and buy me a ranch..
the tobacco in these westerns must be as dry as a bone, they just shake them out. hardly a good smoke, hot bits dropping into your lap, and hot smoke at the back of your mouth
Should've smoked reefer instead.
Wat a script 🙄🙄
