That is the breather hose for the motor. It vents the crankcase so it doesn’t build pressure internally. Thanks for asking and for watching, I appreciate it!
Dude I have the same bike, loosen the throttle side and the clamps holding the carb and pull it out of shifter side or if only doing jets and float turn it sideways and pull the bowl 👍
It’s so near impossible that way. You can’t access the throttle cables without removing the shock. I’ve never pulled the carb without pulling the shock, not worth the fight. I’ve never heard of anyone successfully doing it without pulling the top shock bolt to pull the carb back. Not saying it can’t be done, but idk how I would get it without totally hating life.
@@DanMX2112 I've unfortunately have done this method and I agree with you 100% that it's not worth the fight LOL. I will be removing the back shock from now on to get the carb out.
It’s the same carb, although the jetting will be different. But I think all parts should carry over. To be safe, I would order the correct kit though, don’t let me lead you astray lol thanks man!
Nice!!! I had no issues with my 05 steel frame, but this aluminum frame tucks that baby up in there. Do you have any advice for me, cause I would love to not remove it for the sake of time. Thanks brother!
I’m pretty sure, I don’t think anything changed on that carb from 06 till fuel injection came out. But double check part numbers to see. Thanks for watching man!
Cool ! Another question.... I have a 06 according to the vin but it's a steel frame and the engine has 5 gears, any idea how to tell what year model the engine is? I need to replace the clutch plates but 05 and 06 are the same but if its a 08 ish engine I think I may need a different clutch kit.
Just looked on RMATVMC and it shows different part numbers on the kits, so I’m betting the plates are sized differently. As far as Identifying the engines, I know they have stamps on the head, and cases that identify. Not sure if this helps but look online and cross those numbers.
Thankyou big heaps, are you on Facebook? Would love to talk more directly if possible, ill send a few pics of the bike and engine see if you have any idea what is going on with it lol!
Really wish I had known the shock needs complete removal. Most videos I've seen only remove the top bolt and it flops right out of the way. Explains why removal down next by the shifter was about as fun as stuffing yo prison wallet😢
There should be a disclaimer. Removing the TPS adds a bunch of unnecessary work in getting it recalibrated. Wish I knew that before watching and filling your tear down.
You legend man 🧰👨🔧
Thanks for posting this...I'm sure it save me a lot of time and frustration. BTW, awesome little helper you have there!
Thanks I appreciate it!
So glad you’re posting again bro🔥🔥🔥
Thanks man!!!
Your a Legend. Congrats! Thanks for the tips
Almost identical to the FCR39 on the DRZ400. Great vid!
So question if any one is here what’s the black cable the electric one where does it connect
It’s the TPS, or throttle position sensor. Used to adjust the timing based on throttle.
You missed major one on the jet block oring, will need security torx
Hi there I know this is a long shot but what is the top hose for by the coil pack on head

@@matthewmcclintock8730 yes sir, it’s a fight not worth taking on.
Can I use 2003 yz450f fcr carburetor rebuild kit for 2003 wr450f fcr carburetor? Is it fit?

You can take carb off without taking off subframe lol
Dude idk why anyone would do it that way, so much harder!
It’s actually not bad. Lol just did it today

Would rather listen to explaining steps then that racket noise.
Agreed, I’ll do that on the next one! I can take constructive criticism anytime!
Will an 06 carb work on a 08 engine?

Extra few bolts saves time and frustration for sure! 👍
How u get that mf so clean?
Haha go watch my bike wash video, you’ll be surprised to know I use Dawn dish soap and a foam cannon! Thanks for watching!
Man what a crappy engineering job on behalf of Yamaha 😢
Once dialed it works great, but it’s a dang hard carb to get dialed for someone who is new to it.
I have a 2004 450F that needs attention but im dreading taking it apart .
@DanMX2112 It leaks from the vent so im thinking its an issue with the Float
Record yourself and you’ll be fine!
@DanMX2112 went ahead and rebuilt my carb not too bad actually
You are making that job way to hard. You only need to take off like 3 bolts
3 bolts and does what now?

Ya, I learned that too lol I should do another video on that Carb, and those does and don’ts of that sensor. Thanks for the feedback Walker!
