It wasn’t super expensive, so the tone isn’t too great now that I’m practicing more. What brand dizi do you use? I’d like to order one!

im gonna invest in a dizi for my birthday... i have absolutely no experiences with flutes (other than the fact that i know you have to blow in specific ways to get a tune lol), i can however read sheet notes because i play the violin and im wondering if the dizi is kinda similar to a recorder?? like... how do you self learn a dizi? do you think i could play the dizi reading off sheet notes made for recorders? otherwise the dizi and chinese instruments in general are so pretty, i wish i could have a teacher teach me in person but the least i can do now i start with something more simple haha your cover is also very good, it sounds beautiful!!

I learn dizi from teachers, and also it is important to get professional guidance at first rather than play by oneself if you really want to learn it well.
