Thank you hatanbu1 - You made my day with that comment! You just never know how this stuff will go over when you upload it - so again - thank you!! Shane
Dunno if anyone cares but if you guys are stoned like me atm then you can stream all the latest movies and series on instaflixxer. I've been watching with my gf these days =)
I really like how you show how to play the song and then show what a second guitarist could be playing to really make this thing sparkle. Nicely done as usual Shane. One of the best guitar teachers on the net. Thank you for keeping me inspired when I want to hang it up
Sometimes during a lesson such as this one, the instructors talk way too much, become annoying, or get off topic occasionally. I can listen to you all day long, terrific lesson, great instructor and a wonderful voice that keeps you interested, and by the way, you have the voice of a disc jockey, you make me feel like I'm listening to a classic rock station. Once again,Great job!
Sir, you are by far the best instructor on UA-cam, glad I found your lessons. You make learning these great tunes fun. This from a senior(60's) who started learning this wonderful instrument five years ago.
I really like how you teach. You don't appear to be afraid to embrace the process of learning, even as an accomplished musician. I think that results in your viewers feeling more connected to you. Also, you have a fantastic speaking voice! I'm glad I found you, subscribed.
Man you are such a great detailed teacher. Nobody else showed the picking of each string like that on other channels. They take it for granted I think because they already know it. Thank you.
@@GuitarAtWork you guys on here all help me so much. I play in a cover band here in Nashville and the time it saves me to just watch a video , instead the old way of learning songs. I really do appreciate you online teachers.
Mr Simpson, i just wanted to say thanks for your tutorials. I travel a lot, and every time i try to take private lessons at home, i can never get there. Your tutorials have been teaching me to play songs i never thought i could even think of playing. Thank you very much sir!
Hi Lion Heart - A big thank you for your message - really great to hear that! I hope you continue to enjoy and benefit from these videos - lots more coming! Shane
Shane, I have this on my favourites list and keep coming back to see your tuition. I only practice an hour a night, but this has helped me no end thank you very much for a great video.
I really like your videos. In my opinion you are at the very top of guitar instructors on UA-cam. Your very detailed, calm and knowledgable. Thanks for the videos!
Thanks so very much for showing us this fabulous riff. Certainly one of my favourites and one of the very best in music. Would love to have heard you do all the guitar parts separately and then put the films together to play the whole riff and backing. Thanks for this, absolutely brilliant.
In the past few weeks I’ve suddenly found tunes I would have been afraid to even try are not so bad at all. Most of my chord changes and strums have finally become sec nature and it’s all because of you and your lessons Shane. My problem now is concentrating on making the songs I’ve started to learn and make them presentable and not trying to discover more songs that I can sort of play ... LOL Thanks again!
Thank you Wally - I always enjoy your comments. So glad to hear of your successes! The more songs and chords you get under your belt the easier new songs will be to learn. Keep at it and enjoy the ride - Cheers! Shane
Guitar At Work Yea, that’s what I’m finding, its like I see chords I might still struggle with more often and jumping from different chords to that tough chord just reinforces the chord. What it come down to is practice, practice, practice, the difference is now it doesn’t feel as much like “practicing” and now its playing songs. And you really seem to break these songs, chords and strum patterns to a level that just makes sense for me. Thanks again.
Glad to hear it Wally - and hey.....hope you are practicing some scales as well - I think you'll find that they really help to individualize your fingers. Chords don't really help a whole lot with that process - scales wake up each finger which translates to better independence. My best to you and enjoy the ride! Shane
Guitar At Work Not a much as working on songs but that makes sense so I will put more time into it. I need to work on those anyways as most of my work on Lead Series stuff is still pretty weak.
Very good lesson. I want to point out that the first chords after the instrumental part (chorus chords) are played in a more agressive, down stroke pattern, that sound really cool. Very well explained sir, thanks. Cheers!
Thank you for this excellent video. I watched some good videos on this song on other channels but none of them explain the strumming pattern! For a rookie it's really difficult to understand stuff like that, so seeing you take the time to properly show and demonstrate that rather than just jamming out was super useful :) Subbed.
Great work Shane, love the way you lay out your lessons, it makes them easy to follow and understand. Please could you do I,m Ready by Bryan Adams as a lesson
Awesome I was playing this with barre chords but in the same original key, but couldn’t find a way to play the intro properly , the capo 2nd fret solves that
Thank you very much for the lesson and the valuable information while providing exactly what I needed most while I was learning this song! You are an excellent instructor!
You don't use your index finger in the a chord ... gives you more room to get three fingers between two frets I'm thinking ..? My pinky hurts ... weeeeeeeh.
Why are you wearing only one sleeve??? I do the same thing, to keep from leaving a permanent mark on my guitar from my forearm!! 😁 By the way thank you for your teaching!
Wow so happy I found your lessons the way you break everything down is brilliant straight to the point and easy . Thanks very much liked and subscribed 😎
Awesome video Shane. As usual, you break the song down and make it easier for us students to grasp. Love the attention to detail on the song and for pointing out good habits such as resting palm on the bridge. Keep it up!
Thankyou, Shane! Your delivery, breakdown of the song & enthusiasm is inspirational.I'm just about getting to grips with playing this, after your lesson, kind regards to you 👌
Absolutely great, many thanks, I'm trying to learn this song myself, only had my guitar a few weeks and finding it hard to get the speed up and to fret the chords nicely. But this helped me so much, best regards and thank you!!

Very good. I mistakenly always thought it was played in A (because of the open string ringing) and they tuned down in the studio! Thanks.👍
