Trail Run: WPL RC C-74 Suzuki Jimny JA11

- Took the Susuki Samurai/Jimny for its maiden voyage yesterday at the local trail. It was perfect for this trail run, a bit of drizzle and a bit of mud, did not take it in the water as I have not waterproofed the ESC yet, can easily be done with conformal coating or epoxy, though I am getting the RES V3 probably soon. This is a hobby grade RC with the upgrade options and the spare parts available if something breaks, I totally disagree with some content creators saying this is not hobby grade and is just toy grade. I give credit to WPL for making products that are accesible to everyone which means more can get into this amazing hobby. Its not obviously at the level of Traxxas / Axial/ RC4WD but a lot of fun can be had with these kits.

really like what you have done with this, low cost car loaded up and a good weathered look, im really tempted with the new MN82 landcruiser pickup just wary of the brand but its pocket money cheap so might take a punt on it
Thanks so much mate! Yeah its cheap so I tried it anyway. It wont hurt the bankbut you can upgrade it as well with metal parts, which also come cheap.
Amazing weathering on this Jono! Looks like the washings have been neglected for like 30 yrs or so. LoL! The slow motion sound of this actually sounds like the little I4 that powered these little bricks! So much fun these were in the day, and it looks like WPL and yourself really captured the essence of what made these things so popular! Well done brother!💯👊🏼😎✌🏼

Even more RC Jono, WPL Suzuki action, can't complain really! Thank you, cool longer run in an amazing setting. Perhaps WPL or WPL Japan can hold a contest for "Best in Show" Suzuki: for weathering, scale items and naturally, a UA-cam video award. And the winner gets a new 1/10 scale Jimny model for even more patina goodness!! How about that, just me here, thinking out loud.

Dang the SAMURAI did a killer roll, end to end style lolol nooice! Oh and a dodge roll! You got any lead sticky weights inside those tires wrapped around the bead lock ring at all? I had to do that with my Defender cause shes is so top heavy too :) I got lil 1/12th demon slayer swords for my Defender too, would look awesome on the SAMURAI!!
Lol hahaha! I havent installed lead weights yet, the counterweights I have dont fit, the wheels are tiny lol. But yeah need a lot of weight at the front. That sword is an excellent idea specially for this samurai! 👍 Cheers buddy! 👊
