For satay adventure, u need to go to Kajang, city of satay... U can try Samuri Satay at Kajang Stadium. U can take MRT and stop at Kajang stadium
We will definitely try that 😊
@@sunkissedbucketlist my opinion is satay kajang can be found anywhere. No need to travel to kajang town. The late haji samuri and family spread their outlets in several places. It is simply delicious. The last time i ate, it was rm 1.06 per stick of skewer. Due to inflation, not sure now. Of course there are other satay stalls in kajang town (traditional). But to save time, you can go to the nearest satay kajang outlet.
@@keangwooichoo6138 that restaurant doesn't taste good nowadays, too sweet, meat too dry...
Got Any Kajang Satay stall to recommend around Bukit Bintang / Petaling Street area ?
For satay specifically - try satay kajang, satay willy, satay maharaja
Yang komen org malaysia jer. Syok sendiri. Lepas tu cuba tunjuk cara betul dan sarankan kedai tu ini. Rasa diorg pun tahu dan dah kaji dulu sebelum buat bideo. Tapi natizen kita suka dipuji sehingga terawan-awan.
thanks for watching 😊
one thing i liked with street food,it is served preety straight forward.no fancy preperation or if there is,it's only minimal.it's the flavor that makes it very unique.brutally delicious,.brutally pleasing and brutally fulfilling.and with that kind of weather,a good round of coffee will make it complete.
Everything you've just said is burtually true 😉
Thanks for sharing this wonderful video n for your food exploration in KL.
It was a delight 😊
@@sunkissedbucketlist 🙂
Can almost taste that peanut sauce! Yummy!!!!
These were soooo good 🥰🥰
The Pisang goreng ( fried banana ) should be taste nice. Go to ICC Pudu, there got one stall selling fried banana and fried rice cake with yam, I believe that will give you some surprises, especially you guys love sweet food and dessert. The frog taste like chicken 😋
Except the frog, we'll try everything else you've suggested haha 😄
Malaysia truly ASIA ❤️ food paradise
Food heaven and we love it 🥰
You are almost correct there, the satay meat is marinated in cumin, tumeric, corriander, etc..overnight. Its pronounced as Char-ku-way-ti-ow. Yea the weather has been quite inconsistant. Usually around this time, its supposed to be hot and dry season. Its not fried banana...its banana fritters. The best banana fritters you can find is at Brickfields, there's a corner stall by the roadside..usually has a very long queue. You should try. Yea sugar cane juice one of my favourite drinks apart from teh tarik.
It was an amazing experience from the food to the torrential downpour haha 😄 we had fun 😊
Love it when you say "busier" as "busiahhh".. hehehe
Haha cheers 😉😊
What I love about jalan alor is the seafood is so so good
Jalan Alor is just so colourful and vibrant 😊🥰
Satay Marinade
4 chicken breast cut into strips
1 cup sugar
3 tsp salt
Blend fine:
½ kg shallots
50g cumin seed powder
30g fennel seed powder
300g galangal
200g ginger
50g turmeric powder
5 stalks lemon grass
Haha thanks for sharing the recipe 😊🤙🏻
I noticed both of you like char kway teow a lot. There are other chinese dishes to try. Like wan tan noodles(soup or dry type), hokkien noodles(dry dark soy sauce), hakka noodles(dry). There is yee mee, claypot chicken rice etc etc.
If you can go to pudu icc. You can go around to taste some good stuff.
We'll keep that in mind for next time 😊
Welcome to Malaysia guys...really love to hear your British accent...sound like music to my ear...hehe...awesome.
Terima Kasih! That's so kind ☺️
Malaysia is one of TOP 10 COUNTRIES WITH MOST RAINFALL IN THE WORLD
Oh wow that's cool 😊
Banana fritters
Last stall chicken wings is yummy- licious.
Try bbq fish in spicy sauce... 👍
Malaysia...u can get foods frm ard the world. And etc
Bbq fish in sauce sounds amazingggg 🥰
Hi guys, I really enjoyed your video very yummy. Take care and stay safe.
Thanks for watching Linda 😊
Good afternoon guys from a sunny 🏴
Very cool to eat my lunch with you as you eat your dinner. Julia is a big fan of Satay 😋
Wow, that rain looked biblical. Couldn't believe those locals were sitting so close to the dripping awning 😀😄
Stay safe and well guys
🏴🏴🇲🇾🙏
The rain was intense but the amazing food we had that night made the experience worth it 🥰
You guys knows how to spot a good delicious food around Kuala Lumpur !
As they say "follow where your nose takes you" haha 😄
Ahh my old hangout Jalan Alor. Mmm good choice. Lotsa good food. Place is a lot more busy than from when I was younger! Sugar cane juice stalls used to be all over the place when I was a kid, these days they're a bit more rare. Splash of rum with the sugarcane juice... Highly recommended. :)
Jalan Alor was alot of fun and Taz loves sugar cane juice, Libby not so much haha 😆
Gourmet gourmet😊 enjoy mukbang there..
Everything we tried that night was yummy 🥰😊
Love From Bangladesh 🇧🇩
Thanks 😁
@@sunkissedbucketlist Welcome
Day before yesterday i was in Jalon Alor Street..😃 Now I reached back to my country India.. In entrance you can find Durian Ice cream 😛
We know the one you're talking about haha 😄
I like your laughing kuya or means older brothers. Its a respect for elder or older in fillipino..
Haha thank you bro 😊
You guys haven't been to Penang, Malaysia. Should come and visit. Here we have mee goreng, mee rebus, wan tan mee, curry mee, char Koay teow, duck noodles, loh bak, nasi lemak, nasi kandar and many more. 😊👌
Penang is on the list, we will be heading up there soon 😊
I hope you will discover other cities too ☺️
We have plans to travel around Malaysia, stay tuned for more 😉
Highly recommend to try fried cempedak, the fruit looks like jackfruit, but sweeter than a typical jackfruit.
We would love to 🥰
@@sunkissedbucketlist if it is deep fried long enough, the seed can also be eaten. Tasted a bit like potato. I like to eat whole piece altogether including the seed.
Wow! So much street foods.....Looks like becoming food trip in your vlogs..... 😅 Enjoy eating but stay healthy😊
We can't help it, the food here is amazing 😋 😉
@@sunkissedbucketlist haha...You're making me hungry😂😉😍
Do not worry. Jalan alor will not disappoint
It did not, we left feeling more than satisfied 🥰😊
@@sunkissedbucketlist like genting highlands, it has everything for everyone
I love this duo energy💪🏻have a good stay here🤗
Thats so kind of you to say! Thank you so much 😊
the dim sum you guys ate is called “siu mai”, actually dim sum comprises more than 50 varieties, you should try them at chinese dim sum restaurant, sure you won’t regret it 😄
That sounds really good 😊
If you guys visit Melaka..try thier hainanese pork satay.... its on the savoury side instead of sweet which i prefer...pity can only find it in Melaka
Can you suggest an alternative, we do not eat pork 😊
They have satay celup where you cook your own meats/seafood/veg on skewers by dipping it into a pot of boiling satay gravy
Check out Jalan Changkat, running parallel to Jalan Alor
We'll check it out next time we're there 😉
Satay is not just street food during dinner or for supper. It's served at wedding luncheons, buffets dinners and on special occasions such as birthdays parties. And best of all, if you fly Malaysia Airlines Business Class, it's served as an appetizer. Bon appetite. Have fun.
Now we have to experience Malaysian airlines business class haha 😄
*_Oh, wow, there's plentiful of Thai food I can live there 555 _**_3:55_**_ rain was a major bummer tho_*
Theres tons of Thai places here 😉 the rain was quite something haha 😄
Not all bananas are sweet. Some even ripe ones has a bit of sour taste. Like durians there are many varieties.
The texture was good and we had two each lol 🤣😉
Not all banana good for frying. And it must be ripe and will taste good. For me i like nipah banana. Some people call it abu banana.
Horn and jack fruit banana. It will taste sour
Thanks for letting us know 😊
You guys will put on weight for sure😜👍👍👍
We have already we're sure lol 😆
Try Kampung Baru next for food. Just use LRT and go to Kampung Baru station and taste malay foods there....
We've been to Kampung Baru, it was amazing 😊
Lingering between sugarcane juice and coconut drink? Why not try the mix of both? I do this sometimes 😜
Ooooh we would love to try that 😀
Try to go Kampung Baru Next!!
We did 😊
At my place is also evening just now
Thats cool 🤙🏻😊
fried bananas in malaysia aren't suppose to be sour. that particular vendor must have been using unriped bananas or something. Also jalan alor is known for it's grilled chicken wings!
That banana wasn't sweet but the fried batter tasted good haha 😆 we will try wings next time we're there 😋 😉
Denepding opn the variey of banana used. If i am not mistaken, the banana used is called Pisang nangka (pisang means banana) is a local variety which is supposed to be a little sour,
Some bananas do have sour taste esp the horn banana, the biggest among bananas....you are right ,mayb the banana is not ripe enuf
Thats what we thought 😊
I suggest you go to FRIM (Forest Research Institute of Malaysia) in Kepong... it is a rainforest reserach reserve...
Agree
Not too far
We will try our best 👌🏻 😊
@@sunkissedbucketlist FRIM is the world's largest man made forest (planted)! Please check for entrance/visiting time and day before going.
Fried banana should be sweet guys 😅
We're going to have to try another one somewhere else haha 😄
Jalan means walk
We jalan'd alot that day 🤣
Or STREET😑
@@sunkissedbucketlist basis this way for jalan
kuey teow is actually pronounced 'koo-way-tee-yaw'
Thanks 😊
as a malaysian i never come across sour fried banana. maybe it's still not fully ripe
We think so too 😊
Satay...ayam,daging,perut?
Satay was great 👍🏻 😊
That fried banana doesn't look good. Don't give up, look for crispy ones.
This one tasted sour 😋
Sour fried banana (goreng pisang) now that just means they were using really low quality banana or not quite banana. Trust me it shouldn’t taste like that at all..
No idea about the type of banana but it was interesting indeed haha 😆
The best is fried fish? The fish is called Ikan ayam I don't know what you call in English? 1 fish is around RM50 almost like grill fish but they cook with oil? The fish is quite big too so 2 persons is enough but very good you should try it? After trying it 1 fish is not enough? Go with a glass of beer is even the best?
That sounds really good, will try that if we can 😊🥰
Goreng pisang = fried banana
We'll remember that next time 😊
What is you’re names?
Taz and Libby 👋🏻
Char Koay Teow - ua-cam.com/video/Lf0vTmKudhM/v-deo.html
That's the proper name. 😊
Thanks for that 😊
In Malaysia lot and lots of stalls selling fried banana 🍌.. so the one u bought looks not too tempting for me..cos I could have get better than that hahhahahah
We might get lucky next time haha 😄
@@sunkissedbucketlist the best s u shud go to.. kampung baru.. after 3pm shud be lots of fried banana there.. it's the nearest for u guys
I do not think it is a pigeon. We do not eat pigeons otherwise batu caves will be so quiet. They are quails.
The guy running the food stand said it was pigeon plus the sign said squab but u have a point about batu caves though lol 😆
@@sunkissedbucketlist some stall owners are not educated or do not know english. We do not eat pigeons. Unless he is a foreigner(not malaysian). Otherwise batu caves will not see any pigeons anymore. Furthermore we consider them to be dirty meaning full of bacteria especially the poop.
your teh tarik does not look nice lol.
It tasted good though we can tell u that much 😉
@@sunkissedbucketlist a good teh tarik should be thick and the color should be darker compared to the one you had seems to be lighter probably due to lack of tea or too much milk or water. Mamak restaurants make the best teh tarik.
