Here's a basic recipe for classic chocolate brownies: Ingredients: - 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted - 2 cups granulated sugar - 3 large eggs - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract - 1/2 cup cocoa powder - 1/2 teaspoon baking powder - 1/4 teaspoon salt - 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour Optional Additions: - 1 cup chocolate chips or chunks - Chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans), if desired Instructions: 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan. 2. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter and sugar. Stir until well combined. 3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract. 4. In a separate bowl, sift together cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and flour. 5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. 6. If desired, fold in chocolate chips or chunks and chopped nuts. 7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. 8. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. 9. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan before cutting them into squares.
Yes. I used to do this all the time, after a doctor put me on a diet in high school. Worst thing he could have done to my health. I went for DECADES skipping breakfast, or just grabbing a banana. Then I'd be starved at night, up last eating. Then I'd wake up late and miss breakfast again. It's so important to re-set all of this by having a big filling breakfast every day, and big lunch and dinner and snacks. I still struggle with this. My college nutrition teacher taught us that for women, a meal should consist of at least the equivalent of two sandwiches (4 servings of complex carbs), plus fruit, veg, and milk, 3x/day. Plus snacks. That could be two large bagels with PB or lox and cream cheese for breakfast with tomato juice and fruit. Or it could be 2 large potatoes with beans or 2 eggs, etc. It can be starchy vegetables, not just grain or slices of bread. Anyway, that's the equivalent of 12 slices of bread per day, but instead of 12 slices, it might be 2 servings of cereal, 2 servings of bread at breakfast, 4 slices at lunch, and a large yam or 2 large potatoes at dinner. Plus protein and fat at every meal. I also learned to always serve myself more food than I could eat at that sitting, to be sure I don't go hungry, because under-eating is a set-up for a binge.
1. You're spending a lot of money 2. You won't die without food for a day. 3. You can just get lunch at your college 4. You'd be spending a lot of time trying to find food or get food, so just get it at college.
My on-the-go meal was always no meal. I’d be constantly drinking water throughout the day, and whenever someone questioned my eating habits. “I’m on a dieting fast, I don’t eat till later”, this was before intermittent fasting was a mainstream term, so each day I would basically do like a 20 hour intermittent fast. It saved me money and taught me tons about food nutrition, a balanced diet and even budgeting and money management. And on slow days, it was perfect. I wasn’t doing much anyway so it wasn’t even a big struggle. Sure it was probably unhealthy but I got used to the feeling.
Getting to used to that feeling is what happens to anorexics. NOT healthy. Extremely dangerous. That's why anorexics learn to eat at least 3 balanced (meaning pro, cho, and fat) filling meals and 3 filling snacks in recovery. For life. More if they want more.
It is non productive people like you that write such comments (no offense) , but you should rethink your life and time you're losing on silly things. The life that gohar is living is perfect in my opinion
I know. I remember these days in college. Awful. I would suggest two (or 3) large whole grain or blueberry bagels with either peanut butter or cream cheese. These can be packed into sandwich containers the night before, with fruit, milk, veg and snacks, for a grab and go breakfast from home. And to pack two sandwiches for lunch. Maybe 3 for a guy. I took my female nutrition professor's advice (I'm also female), and finally pulled it together to eat the nutritional equivalent of 2 sandwiches per meal x 3 meals per day. She was short and tiny. So was her twin. That's how they'd eaten all their lives: the nutritional equivalent of 6 sandwiches per day, plus 3 fruit, 3 veg, and 3 milk. So each meal, for one person, was: 2 sandwiches, with a filling of protein and fat 1 fruit serving 1 veg serving 1 milk serving plus other things if they wanted: snacks, chips, cookies, hot chocolate, dessert after each meal. So 15 years ago, in college, I got 3 Rubbermaid sandwich containers that are each deep enough to hold 2 sandwiches. They say they hold 5 cups each. Red lids, 6" x 6" across, the base is 5" x 5". I used to pack two of them with 2 large bagels in one, for breakfast, and 2 sandwiches in the other, for lunch. Plus fruit, veg, chips, cookies, and milk with each, to add to the meal or have as a between-meal snack: 3 meals + 3 snacks per day. Always packing more food than I could eat per meal. I'd alternate between one day with filling the two bagels with peanut butter, or with salmon cream cheese. Then have tomato juice or a green juice, plus fruit and milk. Maybe hot chocolate, also. Lunch: 2 sandwiches, typically pb & j on 4 slices of whole grain one day, and tuna/mayo/celery on 4 slices of sourdough the next. Plus fruit, veg, milk, cookies or chips. Dinner: either 2 chicken thights baked in some sort of sauce, with 2 large potatoes or a large yam, or 2 cups of brown rice, veg, fruit, dessert. Or 2 cups whole wheat pasta with a generous amount of homemade meat sauce and parmesan, plus salad, fruit, veg, dessert. Plus snacks: cheese and crackers, pretzels, granola bars, etc. Kept it simple, filling, always providing enough food at each meal to let my stomach stop me when I was full. I'd like to go back to that. I have an eating disorder, and I'm so tired of being hungry again !!! and then binging at night. When I filled up all day, it would put me to sleep at night, sleeping well all night. Many dietitians (the ones who don't have the years of training required to treat eating disorders) have eating disorders themselves. I'm so sick of dietitians basically promoting starvation-level diets. I'm tired of dietitians promoting fussy, miserably low-calorie diets as if they are normal eating, when they're not.
I recommend getting nutrigrain bars as they are healthy, energy packed, and easy to eat on the go. I know 3 flavors myself which are strawberry, blueberry, and apple cinnamon. I recommend the apple cinammon because it just taste better.😂

I used to think the same. But I had also developed an eating disorder without realizing it, which is why I didn't think it was a big deal. Skipping breakfast is unhealthy, and in the eating disorder field, is considered disordered eating, and is not permitted. ever. Not even once. Breakfast is the meal that is eaten within one hour of waking.
@@plant495 You are wrong. Breakfast isn't the most important meal of the day. It is just marketed by those big evil companies so that the people blindly spend their hard earned money on the unhealthy processed cereals.
