i never noticed that even after so many years ive never called bending magic! thats so cool that they thought it out so well that my mind never associated it with magic
I mean, Avatar keeps linking bending to chakras. When I think of magic, I think about magicules, mana particles, or just a person having a certain amount of magical power within them. I'm saying that as a person who played a F2P game that had a crossover with avatar and had Aang talk to an actual magician, HEAVILY showing a difference between magicians and benders. Context-wise, they were I believe after Aang learned earth bending, but before he tried fire bending.
i mean...in a sense bending is "super powers"....despite it being used as an extension of a martial art...a person cannot simply train to become a bander...your either born with the ability or your not. (with a few very specific exceptions).

Fine, I’ll rewatch ATLA and LOK again

Right I suppose it is technically a superpower, one you would need to train, which do exist
Real
