GG, would definitely like to see a episode about a gentleman’s office, functionality and decor. I have a home office with a executive desk, two club chairs, shelving and liquor globe. Would like to hear your ideas. Thx.
This would be a great episode. From decor as well as workflow perspective. I am trying to ditch digital ‘stuff’ where possible, in favor of a more analog space around me, in my office in particular.
I always like Preston's videos. Maybe it's the topics, maybe it's his relaxed presentation style, maybe it's his soothing voice, maybe it's the puns; I'm not sure. Anyway, thank you, Preston. You're a big part of the GG team, at least to me.
Surprised you didn’t mention globes. I have a large inherited globe with really interesting country names and borders in my living room, a smaller, newer one in my bedroom and in my office, a pair of bookends featuring a globe the size of a baseball on each. I find them fascinating and have always wanted a huge floor-standing globe like the ones I’ve seen in so many classic movies.
This was a great episode! Love the Maltese Falcon reference. Can you guys do an episode on ‘working desk aesthetics’. Not sure what that would exactly cover, but maybe something along the lines of how men of earlier times would have arranged their desks and work areas. How did they order their day in general? How did they track priorities?
Excellent video. We enjoy leaving out puzzles - on side tables or sofa tables. Guests seem to enjoy walking by and adding a piece or two…. It’s interactive art that stores away well and can change with the seasons. 👍🏻
My home is like from a scene out of Sherlock Holmes, interesting objects, curiosity cabinet, skulls, books, pipes, mantel clock, wall clocks and paintings. And of course a Maltese falcon... I love my home.
I would genuinely be interested in a video outlining how to set an elegant table. I have books on this topic, but I love your channel and would really like to see a video. Especially if you can have an expert explain the different pieces (i.e., escargot forks and other less well-known items). I see other posters are leaning towards an office desk video, so maybe keep "setting a dining table" in mind for a future video after the office desk.
Point: Great editing, script/natural explanation, and dip into meta. History: I’ve read GQ since 13. My own exploration into editing, story, interior design and currently do upholstery… so I enjoyed fm many perspectives. I’ve mentored many in dress, to which they reported joy. Specifically enjoyed for this video: Cut away; puns; and keeping it interesting as I’ve been enjoying the channel for three months, this is a shift. Nine puns were dropped while I typed… sooooooo… as much as it was distracting and raised an eyebrow, it was appreciated. Congrats to all. Others, when it’s time, will appreciate.
Could you please make a video about vintage style men's working/writing desk and it's accessories (inkwell, desk lighter, cigar box, letter holder and etc.) Thank you in advance!
Really enjoyed the Puns. Keep em coming Preston! This video definitely sparked inspiration to get started in decorating the place I live in. Never really gave it much thought earlier but I feel like it should be done. Thanks again .
The videos are very cool and reflect a unique aspect of style shown to guests in the home. I find the takes from this series very unique and intriguing. Great video.
Plants (at least some) are functional, they can help with health, now by that I mean physical though it can also help mentally but so can just living in a nice space. Aloe Vera is a great example, it's fantastic as an air purifier and can help with things like mosquito bites or rashes from stuff like poison ivy.
Would very much appreciate the videos on desk as a workspace. I am planning to move to a new place in the coming months and will be of great help. Thanks
I've just started my first ever desk job maybe a week ago and was wondering how I could make my desk look better. I immediately thought of GG for advice, would really appreciate an episode on work desk decor
I’m working from home full time forever and I have been for the past several years as my company is headquartered out of my state. I’d like some recommendations on escalating the work space.
Thrift is the best option for decor, as for clothes, at least in my experience. With how willing some are to throw "old stuff" away, and perhaps a bit of iconoclasm, there's always interesting second-hand finds if one looks closely enough.
Excellent video. I would be very interested in a work desk perhaps as a traditional v modern video with the advantages and disadvantages of each. Merry Christmas and best wishes for 2022 to all
I do love my Made in USA walnut clock called a last year numismatic clock as it has a Kennedy half dollar at 12&6, quarters at 3&9 and dimes in between, alternating obverse and reverses
I would personally love a look at modern furniture and options within the marketplace to acquire a level of guaranteed high quality. Gimme a desk that doesn't fall apart any day of the week!
@@Boselaphus What a romanticised view of history, my friend. No need to declare your personal view of style as greater than others. Calling others degenerate isn't a charming personality trait.
@@sheevinopalpatino4782 Degeneracy is a thing. And it affects a lot of things, style, food, etc. My opinions are irrelevant, facts are the only thing I rely on. Fashion as been down since then, isn't it?
@@sheevinopalpatino4782 It is up to you to take it as an opinion or a fact, nonsense or sense. While what I said remains a fact although misinterpreted as an opinion by you.
7:30 Someone at the Kuat Drive Yards probably DID get fired over it. However, by that point, I don't doubt that several models had already been made, and with most of the Imperial Navy's budget going to the Death Star, a beggared empire can't be a choosy empire.

Yeah, that would be a nice video.
I could use some tips for my
office space.
I second this
I third this vote. I would love to see what GG has to say on the matter.
@@henryhen76543 I hope your day gets better. Best wishes.

The humor is getting better and better on this channel. I even laughed out loud at the Star Wars bit. Keep at it!
I would love to see the workspace version since remote work is more common now.
Agree. You could start off with a stylish metal typewriter. ;)
Yes!
The GG always states the facts, classic is timeless, and very elegant.
Omg Preston knowing the difference between candelabra and candelabrum is just 😍😍😍
@Seth Blades well I guess you're off the Christmas card list with that bah hunchbugs attitude.
I like decorating with globes, ships, anything old Hollywood related.

Oh, yes. Globes are an excellent choice.
One call also hide a mini bar in them, so yeah, good call.
They were probably going to but couldn't come up with a pun involving globes
The humor of this video is so pleasing, not to speak of the content itself.
Somehow, this is the most professional yet humorous tabletop decor video I’ve ever seen
I love this channel so much it's given me so many ideas for classy gifts for my husband.
Love to see a full series on decor, including other tabletop decor.
My dude, your pun game was ON POINT in this video. Really elevated the whole thing!
This was a great episode! Love the Maltese Falcon reference.

Collection ships, cars, trains and statues are excellent tabletops decorative items.
Also tabletop humidors and tabletop lighters are nice additions to a gentleman's home.
14:55 " meta surrealism " first time ever I hear that term . By the way so nice to hear somebody who takes dedication to vocalise . Thank you !

I’m a woman and really love masculine, gentleman interior, and I gleaned so much fabulous information from this video. Thank you!!!
Yes, we would love to see this series continued.

We all need a Maltese Falcon in our lives. And preferably on the sideboard.
7:10 Now I want a Gentleman's Holopad series with Preston talking about style in the Star Wars series haha
Excellent information. Thank you. I will remember them as I decorate.
Yes...Work space / office video, please!!!
👍💖🌟
I definitely would love to see a video dedicated to workspaces and desk tops!
I appreciate the Star Wars references. I'd love to see you continue this series.
What a gem of a channel!

Bahahahaha, possibly one of your best vids yet, GG!! Great content, great puns!! 🤣
Definitely would like to see an office decor video
This video was so fun!!!!
The clue joke was very funny, professor Preston.
I would certainly appreciate an episode about setting tables and one about desk/workspace organisation and decor.

Those Puns!!💯

You should release a series called "Raphael's interior design" 👀👌
I would personally love a look at modern furniture and options within the marketplace to acquire a level of guaranteed high quality.
Gimme a desk that doesn't fall apart any day of the week!
We just bought these desks for everyone in the office amzn.to/3mdjoui
I would love to see the dining counterpart to this video please and thanks. Great video btw!
Very nice video Preston 😘😘😘😘😘
I would definitely be interested in a gentleman's office/workspace.
Very droll Preston, thank you!
An awesome video once again, I like a record player as a tabletop piece in my house.
Or what a coincidence a moment ago I was watching your old videos, reload the page and surprise new video, very good by the way 😊👍🏿
Great video - and I'd like more installments.
Imagine if all people were as stylishly snazzy as these fellows.
There was a time, since the dawn of humanity to 1950's men dressed elegantly. Now thanks to degeneracy all has been down.

Informative and hilarious!
Lovely. Thank you.
We desperately need a house tour!
More videos like this!!!
Raphael, please help Preston with his puns 😁
Desk top would be awesome!
Love those puns🤣🤣
I must suggest vintage typewriters, they can go very cheap and look amazing. Especially those from the 30s.
I just inherited my grandfather 1955, 23 Jewel Bulova wind watch. Do you perhaps have a video of how to wind a watch to keep time accurate?
1:50 a fellow "half-sour" Saffitz fan, I see
I'm using a retired humidor for a tidbit tray. Came to me by way of my grandfather.
PLEASE do a workspace video!
And at 7:14 I felt a sudden familiarity and kinship with Preston...
What music do you use for your intros and outros? The music at 19:55 i love your videos too
Grenadine ties are true Italian rarities nowadays.
Desk/office ideas PLEASE
Was waiting for this
Glass paperweights!
can you please do a gentlemen's office tour
Nice episode
I know this video isn't about suits but you ever visit Canterbury in England have a look in slaters I assure you will not be disappointed
I'm surprised that candlestick phones weren't mentioned in the decorative phone segment.
Well, phooey, your little subscribe icon kept covering up the pun count!! At least, until it got to "I don't get paid enough for this...", lol.
I would love an office video
Can you a video about men desk

17:29 “best yachts for the distinguished gentlemen” when?
