Thank you so much for this. I am just starting to get into fragrance, and there is so much to learn. I have a medical condition which prohibits me from drinking alcohol, so since I can’t get into wine, I figured I’d try fragrance instead!

Is it me or have you ever worn a fragrance that made you feel pretty, confident, casual or sexy. I wear fragrance everyday even if I'm not leaving the house. I feel naked without a fragrance. I love your content. I'm a new sub. Will definitely be a loyal sub. Very informative.
Thank you so much❤️ very dynamic and helpful content🙏✨

Very informative video. Thank you
You’re very welcome 😊
Wow. Very comprehensive; thank you.
You're very welcome!
2:08 I’ve also heard that perfume was popular at Versailles because the courtiers would relieve themselves by the palace’s staircases, & because they were often drunk & wearing elaborate clothes, they would often accidentally tinkle on themselves so the perfume helped cover up the drunken urine odor. 😳🤮
Eek! I don’t even want to imagine the combination lol
Thanks for the video. I feel a little more direction now. 🙂
Yay! I love to hear it😊
Solstice Scents is SO GOOD 🤤
I learned a lot from this video Whit. I agree I found this fragrance I bought from a local company in The Bahamas called Scentastic listen they have this body mist she is soon going to come out with perfumes, but this body mist called midnight has dark berries amber and sweet orange notes. I have found nothing to beat it yet and I will wear it everyday sorry not sorry🙃🙂❤👍🏾💕
Ooo that sounds like a gorgeous scent!
I have to say you really remind me of Tati Gabrielle, you're both very pretty!
Ur super eloquent and charming ❤❤❤ Already subscribed
Awww thank you 😊
I am looking to make a specific Fragrance that was Discontinued in the 90s.
It has 18 Notes.
I have never been able to find anything to beat it, it is super rare and super expensive when I do find it ($600+) and no Dupes have been created of it yet.
I have gotten desperate, lmao and have decided if I want this, I will have to make it myself (have no clue what I am doing, lol) - it may not wind up exact but if I can get close, I will be happy.
It was called Ambre Antique and was made by Coty, and it was Launched in 1905.
Ah! That is so cool! I hope you are able to create something you are happy with 😊
Wonderful video.
Thank you 😊
Love all the detail!! Also love having citations in the description
Thanks so much!
thank you!!
You're welcome!
👏👏👏
I love this Video. You're so cool.
Aww! Thank you 😊 I’m glad you enjoyed
Absolutely loved this! What an insightful video. We have just shared an ebook on the science and art behind perfume making for those who would be interested! 💜
Can you explain why some notes change in a bad way on your own skin ?
Hi! I’m a fragrance noob, so this video was super helpful! One question… should your hair product scent and your perfume be similar? My hair products are fresh, floral, and a bit citrusy, but the perfume I wanted to try is a sweet, vanilla, cotton candy, coconut scent… is this a bad idea?
What a great question! I combine different scented hair products with different body care all the time and the results have always been pleasant. I feel like the body care scents takes the lead most of the time anyway, so if I do ever try to use both hair and body products that smell similarly, it’s only for fun (and to feel extra fancy hehe)
Grand Soir 6.8 oz cause they might be discontinuing it and its great
The algorithm got one with this one
Yay!!
Stupid question but how do I try and recognize the different notes as I’m smelling it? For example I tried the bright crystal from Versace and it’s middle notes had lotus or floral scents but it did not really smell floral or I just don’t know how to smell stuff well. Eitherways any insight would be really great!
Ahh! What an interesting question. Now, mind you, I’m no scent expert/professional but I do have an opinion lol. I feel like scents/picking up scents is very much an individual experience and things can smell differently to/on different people. BUT in regards to your actual question, may I suggest exploring more? Like familiarizing yourself with more fragrances over and over again, noticing the notes based on what’s listed for them and noticing how they smell to you, and then letting the natural familiarity that comes from repetition occur. I think that’s how I learned-just trying a lot of scents and noticing what I smell and picking up on the scent memory when smelling a different fragrance😊
@@TheThingAboutWhit that’s a great idea! I think I’ll definitely have to check up on the notes before smelling it so I can recognize it once. Thank you so much!
I went into the store today to check out some perfumes and my family was pretty impressed with my knowledge, thanks to your video. this is probably the most explained video out there on fragrances so thank you for that as well. Ended up buying Valentino born in roma
🎉🎉🎉🎉
side note your hair is amazing.
Renaissance...accent on the 1st syllable, not the 2nd or 3rd...
Im another Samantha referral 😂 I live in Costa Rica and we don't have seasons. And I always thought that is kinda dumb to have rules about when you can wear perfumes. There's millions of people that don't have seasons and can't subscribe to those rules or people that just don't want to do that and that's OK
👋🏽Hi there! Yeah, I only take those “rules” as suggestions/options especially when they don’t apply to me haha
How can I focus on what you say when there's a cat right there
ohmygod ive joked that Paris was the perfume capital of the world because of necessity I didn't know that's Actually Why
pun intended lol
Kitty
Such a well thought out and informative video, thank you.
Also, you look absolutely stunning!
Thank you for your kind words 😊
