This is classic Fragrance Apprentice. It’s why George is the best. Thoroughly researched, well-written and presented. George is an educator at heart. Loved it.
I remember being in Macys in late 2010 and passing the fragrance counter and being completely intrigued by the marketing for Bleu. I took a sniff off a card and bought it on the spot. I had never smelled anything like it before. Up until that point I had been wearing Axe body spray and stealing some of my dad’s CK Obsession when I wanted to smell fancy for the girls. Bleu de Chanel completely transformed my belief in what a “cologne” could smell like. I became obsessed with finding out more and more and now, 14 years and over 1000 bottles later, I still look back at that day and that fragrance as what started it all for me. And I still wear Bleu to this day quite frequently.
What's your least favorite colognes? This is a new experience for me. I started with azzro Chrome, wild country, Duke cannon, and now I'm on nautica voyage
@@mrthomas7511 I’ve honestly never been a huge Creed fan. Original Santal is my favorite Creed, but the others just don’t do it for me. I understand the appeal but to me they’re just too one dimensional to justify that price. As far as fragrances that just smell gross? I think the only one I’ve ever had to actually scrub off me was Cartier Declaration. But a lot of people LOVE it so it really is a matter of subjectivity.
Informative, entertaining, funny af and with a production standard that is equal to or exceeds major network tv….this is great work. May your success continue to flourish, George!
You don't make a fragrance video my lord, you make a fragrance documentary! That's the way I always see it! Long Live The King!!! We appreciate the kind of hard work put into, not only this video, but most of your videos generally. God bless you sir! 👍😍
I’ve been watching UA-cam fragrance videos since 2009 and rarely comment, but this one deserved it for sure! I thoroughly enjoyed the historical viewpoint and evolution to where we are today in Fragcom. You’ve come a long way from doing reviews of Kenneth Cole black while in the dark my friend. Excellent job and keep up the humorous but still artistic videos. Well done!!
damn you fuckin got me with roman reigns slipped in there. well done. and i just need to add, after watching this through, a lot of work went into this video. it's apparent. this deserves all the views.
Nicely edited and easy to watch. You're clearly working hard on your content and it shows. I like how you're offering something different to most fragrance channels. I'm tired of generic top 10s, compliments (I despise those), seasons, etc. I appreciate the wrestling references too ;) keep it up, George. Cheers.
I love this video George! You travel through the pits of fragrance world to offer a very polished, flawless master class. Thanks, you are the OG fragrance knowledge provider
Not mentioned here and always underrated, especially for it's impact, is CK One. The first official Unisex Scent and was worn by so many in the Mid 90s, even to this day.
My favorite video from you George. And that’s saying a lot because you are by far one of my biggest influences. Beautiful edited and wonderful information. Well done mate!
Pardon my French but this has been Fucking Fantastic! I was thoroughly enthralled by this lesson from start to finish. Thanks for taking the time to put this together 🍻
Excellent as George FA's retrospectives always are. Legendary in frag video culture. Nobody has the video making skills and precious few have the story telling and historical sweep. He doesn't drop these daily but when they drop, they kill it. Looking forward to more.
Absolutely loved this! What an insightful video. We have just shared a few ebooks on perfume history and craft of perfume making for those who would be interested! 💜
Excellent! I certainly don't agree with everything you mentioned (we all have our biases) but your presentation was outstanding - well-done! You know, I haven't given this topic anything thought, but 1985 was an important year for me since it saw the release of Green Irish Tweed and Dior Poison. In fact, 1985-1992 were was great years as some of my favorite Classics were released during this timeframe. Damned if I gonna look it up though. Cheers!

"1,000 bottles later". This makes me sad because I completely identify with the feeling. Fragrance addiction is real..

2014. The year we were blessed with the FA and his artistic masterpieces.
Thoroughly enjoyed this, would say that you've outdone yourself but your videos are always top notch!!!
I enjoy the “Staying Alive” rendition during the advent of cologne origin story!

Superb comment.
💫🔥
I’m surprised the launch of Bond No9 back in 2005 was not mentioned.
Wall Street, Little Italy, etc.
