@@RolandtheThompsonGunner I have around 15k rounds through my original build, zero issues so far, first 500 rounds went through completely unlubed as a test, yet again no issues
I don’t always agree with James Yeager. But he made a great point in a video. He has two bolts for every rifle. A training bolt to run the miles up on. And then a bolt that he puts back in after. Couple quick test fires and you have a low mileage bolt in case it’s needed. You could do the same for your 3 gun rifle. Train with one and switch to a fresh bolt for the competition. With most companies charging more than $90 for just a bolt. Why not get the whole carrier group too for that price. Good stuff as always man.
I have one from a few years ago and got another two recently for builds. Their latest are much more refined and beautifully machined. I polish them like a mirror and it makes cleaning so much easier
I’ve got one of those in my 10.5” AR pistol and it’s perfect. I’ve put several hundred rounds through it and that gun has the smoothest action of any AR I’ve handled. I also have one of their NIB Bcg’s with the 9310 bolt and its nice but not nearly as smooth as the one with the carpenter 158.
I bought one of these BCG's from PSA around this time and the only issue I had was that the gas rings were either out of spec or they got coated along with the bolt because they were too big and would cause malfunctions every 3rd shot. A new $3 set of gas rings later and I was good to go. No issues after that, and was a dream to clean.
As a new subscriber I have to say that you make great videos. You tell it how it is with no B.S.! I just received a complex lower by PSA and plan on building an upper. This video is just what I needed today!!!
Bought the Nitrited BCG, put in my .300 BLK Out pistol. Took it to the range and slapped in a mag and on the last 3 rounds the bolt went into battery but the round didn't go off. What did happen was it was locked up tight and I couldn't pull back on charging handle and the trigger was stuck. It did that 3 times in a row, and I hand to bounce the stock on the table while pulling on the charging handle. When I got home I took the BCG apart and what I found was a broken extractor spring. I put a BCM heavy duty spring and washer in it. Waiting to go back out to the range and test it out.
I put 150 rounds through a brand spanking new and lubed PSA NB BCG today and it was flawless. The cleanup was also a breeze. Heck I liked the price so much I may buy a spare one !
I've put about 100 rounds through mine. That session involved 1 magazine dump with echo trigger. The gas rings are blown. Well, the carrier won't standup on the bolt, it collapses. It still functions as I didn't realize it until I cleaned it a couple of weeks later.

Been running a NiB bcg for about 700 rounds now (different brand though) and its great. I still lube mine but it dang sure makes it easy to clean and looks great too.

JerrBear Tactical And they won't. Toolcraft makes a lot for OEM's. They are pretty decent. I like Microbest better. You can find Toolcraft for cheaper if you look around. I wasn't wild about the staking job on the "premium" one that came with a pistol kit, so thats enough reason for me to switch it out.
I've got an SAA nickel boron enhanced bcg that's run well. I'm not a 3 gunner though can't speak to running hard but it's still strong. Yeah i ran it dry a couple times to see how it ran. It ran lol.
