@@JJDDCrazyDrive. Ok, just saying I didn't know there was more than one, considering nelvana made one show in Canada while rob paulsen resides in sanfrancisco or so, and it'd be hard T artange!
My mom recorded some christmas specials that were on TV when I was a kid and there was a commercial for this show on the tape. I had no idea that this was based on a Jim Carrey movie.
I'm still upset I didn't know that Saturday morning cartoons had ended and that I shouldn't been addicted to fan programs such as adventure time, gravity falls, my little pony friendship is magic, Steven universe etc.
It’s funny to me how back in the 90’s and late 80’s a movie could be turned into a cartoon just cause it kinda had a kid-friendly vibe despite the film itself not being for kids.
Mr doctor eggman already doing it, with his strapless goggles, and toupé. Also, if anything they better not, that guy is basically lothor from ninja storm!
The cartoon sometimes has crude humor and innuendos that weren't kid friendly either. Even as a kid I knew this and that's why I loved watching it on Saturday morning.
The movie WAS kid friendly. The only people who don’t think so are abusive parents. So hearing mild sexual innuendo and a couple of words ignoramuses have deemed “naughty” is worse than forcing a gay kid to live a “straight” life? I can only imagine if my parents forced me to be gay. I’d be miserable. No wonder things are so screwed up. Where are my real 90s kids at? More 7 naughty words, fewer abusive, theocratic parents, please. I miss those 90s PG movies. When rating a movie like Frozen PG would get you laughed off a movie set, justifiably. If you honestly think using a “swear word” is going to traumatize a kid, do the world a favour and get the snip snip. LOL. Not you specifically - psycho parents in general.
@@christhornycroft3686 nope, you had abusive, armchair parents. Someone protecting their children is the OPPOSITE of abuse. Ace Venture is NOT kid friendly. The subject matter, the language, the violence, the sexuality, the nudity, the innuendos, the pacing, the plotline, transgenders and lots more I didn't mention. Its PG-13. You need the snip-snip, also you shouldn't be allowed children.
Honestly this guy’s impression of Jim Carrey isn’t too bad, I mean he actually dubbed some lines for Jim Carrey when they were doing Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls. That’s pretty much how he got the job in the first place, the reason why Stanley’s VA (Rob Paulsen) doesn’t sound close to Jim is because he wanted to voice the character his way instead of impersonating him. When he was recording the first few episodes of The Mask, the executives were constantly pushing him to do an impression of Jim Carrey but he told them off and basically said “I’m not Jim and I’ll never be Jim. You hired me for my talents, so please let me do what I know best” they stopped nagging him after that and I’m glad that he didn’t do an impression. His take is unique and most of all, very damn funny.
Ironic, he's called a 'Pet' Detective yet he also helps out wild animals. But what the heck, he's funny and an animal lover and that's all that matters. Emphasis on funny thanks to the hilarious Jim Carrey of course.
Nobody but Jim should be allowed to play Ace. He just is Ace Ventura. The Canadian who owned the 90s along with Will Smith. The only guy even remotely close to being as cool as a charismatic black dude is a Canadian who can do faces! I won’t hold it against Jim that he’s from Worst Case Ontario.
No, that’s a very good impressionist. His name is Michael Daingerfield (credited as Michael Hall in the credits) and he’s done a lot of cartoons and anime throughout his life and Ace Ventura was his first voice acting gig.
the animated ace ventura wasn't voiced by jim carrey but the voice actor did do a decent job of immitating the character's voice and mannerisms.
